Highly recommended, a well presented and clean room which had everything needed, a comfortable bed, double glazed to reduce noise, great shower, large TV screen with plenty of channels. Really nice to get the Cookietime cookies and also really liked the fresh milk in the room and the story behind it, much appreciated. Great location and an easy walk to the centre of town.

An excellent motel, very modern room and very clean. Well equipped with all you need for an overnight stay. Good location not far from Waikato hospital. Excellent manager. Lots of parking outside the units. We had a king size room which was very spacious and had everything that we needed.

Take care. This motel is in the middle of an emergency housing area and offers emergency housing in-house as well, so very noisy with emergency customers sitting outside rooms from early till late talking and drinking. 3 motels across road all full of emergency housing occupants and noise levels were high till late with fighting and yelling to all hours. I was a single female traveller and felt unsafe outside of my room. Room was basic but tidy and fresh although priced highly for the area and noise levels.

I loved that large work desk. I had a lot of writing to do and this was one of the best places I have stayed at for the extra lond bench at a perfect height to work on my laptop. So it really helped. The room was very clean and not cluttered. The bed was big and comfortable. I liked it and if I have another work trip in Hamilton I know where I will go. Thanks.

The reception staff were wonderful.
We required a superking bed, which we got. It was very comfortable.
The negatives we found were:
The bathroom had been re-furbished, but was not totally finished, There were gaps in the tiling, the ceiling wasn't painted. There were very minimal toiletries, only 1 towel each. The floor wasn't very clean.
An only mentioning this as the room cost $220.

Hamilton is full of motels but on my next visit I won’t even bother doing a comparison - The Auto Lodge was perfect and I’ll be back. There was quite a difference on line between the Auto Lodge’s room rate and some of the other hotels I had stayed at before so I wasn’t sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the rooms are modern with everything you need. Definitely the best value for money that I’ve ever found in Hamilton. The studio rooms aren’t huge but certainly big enough for 2. The bed, shower, TV, Wifi, a/c are all great and the room is very clean. We didn’t cook but there’s a shared kitchen on site with big tables, work surfaces and real ovens rather than a pathetic cooktops that most motels squeeze into a room. The location was perfect and the management was friendly and very helpful. Great experience all round.
