My partner and myself stayed here for three nights.

The access is very easy and the hotel is very central. The first night we arrived there were no available spaces for our rental and there were no parking spaces available on the road right in front of the hotel. We had to park overnight in the mall carpark right opposite the hotel. The next morning when we went to pick the car park, we found a massive scratch on it and it was clear that the car was bumped at some point whilst there. Obviously - and I cant stress this enough - nothing to do with the hotel but keep it in mind if there are no hotel spaces available.

During our stay there we met with two different members of stuff manning reception and they were both very friendly and helpful.

The room was very spacious, with good storage space, well accessorised kitchen, a washing machine/dryer and - what I thought was a brilliant touch - heated blankets underneath the bottom sheet on the bed. The TV had a very good variety of movies to watch and there was also in the fridge a small basket of breakfast food, like bread slices, jam butter and fresh fruit. There is also wifi, which in our case was included in the price of the room.

My only small criticism would be the lack of towel hooks/rail - there was only one towel rail in our bathroom which we could place our bath towels to dry however there was nothing to hand a had towel and as a result we had to either place it by the sink or drape it over the top of the shower cabin.

All in all, an excellent place to stay for a few nights and will most definitely book it again if we found ourselves in Hamilton.

We called only an hour before arrival and although they didn’t have the room we requested, they quickly offered an upgrade for the same money. Parking was a little difficult but that was probably exacerbated for us by wet weather – never good when you’re trying to get bags out of the car. Reception was super friendly and helpful, full of information and careful to make sure we had everything we needed. Beds are comfortable, bathroom and kitchen are both large, washing/ironing facilities are available in the apartment and the little balcony provided an open air feel. It was a very comfortable night and a lovely way to finish our NZ adventure.

Thank you for your kind review, unfortunately the weather was particularly bad during your stay, I am pleased that it didn't put a dampener on your stay and we are really pleased that you enjoyed your time with us. Hopefully we will see you again soon. Kind regards Larry

I needed accommodation in the cbd, and Quest on Ward fit the bill nicely, nicely appointed with kitchen, and a washer/drier. There was a balcony, and off street parking behind the building. Across the road from the main shopping mall. And only minutes to restaurants, pubs, theatres and the bus station. The concierge was very accommodating as well. Would stay again.

Terrible staff who accused me of not returning the keys which is a lie. Ive asked them to check their cameras as I 100% returned keys. I got home and they charged me for them.

The email sent was very rude. Our family and friends will never use there services again.

Stay clear

Terrible and parking is even worse. Absolutely rude you have to pre-pay and you’re not even guaranteed apart. My car almost got towed while I was staying there and management is impossible to reach. Not happy would never recommend this place.

We have stayed in other Quest properties in NZ and have found them modern, clean and comfortable, but not this one in Hamilton. We had a room at the back overlooking the car park, which was dark and dreary. There was no comfortable seating, only 2 dining chairs and the pillows were old and lumpy with 1 very thin excuse for a pillow in the wardrobe as an alternative. The bathroom was a cavern with an old drain in the middle of the floor and the shower tray had a small hole in it. On arrival we asked for the continental breakfast package and was told they had run out and that we could go to one of the local cafes for breakfast. Not too much of a problem, but not what we expected. The good points were that it was within walking distance of restaurants for dinner and you could get secure parking if requested.

Only stayed one night in this centrally located apartment, walking distance to shops and restaurants, Starbucks on the corner and Subway across the road if you don't want to walk anywhere. Car parking available at a cost and has to be booked in advance, located at the rear of the main entrance. Staff were friendly, but not available 24/7, not that this was a problem. The apartment was 1 bedroom with a small lounge but sufficient for the 2 of us. Fully self contained and modern furnishings. Very clean and couldn't fault the presentation. Very small 1 person balcony available for smokers, just don't look down if you suffer from vertigo. Overall was very pleased with this apartment.

The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. They couldn't do enough.

When I arrived on Sunday night there was a sign in the elevator that states there is no cleaning on a Sunday... Which I guess explains the food on the carpet under the table or crumbs in the lounge area - but doesn't explain why it was there 2 days later.

Used face cloths I left on the shower floor will still there the next day... Wrappers for soap etc. were left on basin.

The bed was not made appropriately on any day I was there.

I was in a room that had 2 air con units and a duct vent on the outside - so not a restful sleep.

TV in the room (not lounge) had hardly any channels.

When you open the curtains in the lounge anyone in the parking garage can look in. There are no sheers.

If I'm picky - I feel that the decision to not use Warm White Eco light bulbs made the room feel harsh, cold and uninviting.

These apartments are in a good location.

Dear clintonfg. Thank you for choosing Quest on Ward for your recent stay in Hamilton. Kenneth and Joe enjoyed having you stay and getting to know you. I am sorry to hear of your concerns with your room. This is not our usual standard and we have made sure to follow up with all staff to share your thoughts and feedback. We do have the best location in the heart of the CBD and close to everything. The best part is we are not located in the entertainment precinct, so we are away from that noisy area. We value your comments and I am sure you will enjoy your next stay with us. Thanks for noticing our Eco cleaning. It is important to us that we are not using harmful chemicals which is great for any sensitive noses as well. We look forward to being of service. regards Robert

Love the place, amazing rooms with both a homely and modern feel right in the heart of Hamilton. Friendly service with a smile.

Reviews have to be at least 200 words (?) so I will give a play-by-play of our experience. Called up prior to arriving to discuss parking ($10 per day behind the building off the street) and was greeted by a friendly male voice who had everything sorted in no time. Arrived and parked behind the building in a free quest spot then went inside to book the parking and drop bags off in our room. Was greeted by name (must not have been too many people staying that day or remaining to arrive) and everything was smooth and straightforward, then headed out to the city to enjoy our stay.

Overall very painless pleasant experience with no hiccups along the way and would stay at quest once again.

Dear Walkingblindly. We are happy to see you enjoyed your stay last month with us here in Hamilton. As we are a smaller sized property we generally get to know our guests pretty well in a short time and we were glad to get to know you also. Hamilton is a great base for exploring this region. I hope you got to visit Hobbiton which is only 40 mins away. Zeelong, NZ's only tea plantation is about 15 minutes away also. A very interesting and beautiful place. There's lots more to do so we hope to see you again soon. regards Robert

My husband and I booked the Quest on Ward at the last minute. It's location is great as it is close to restaurants, movies and shops. Being right in the middle of down town I was worried that it would be noisey but we didn't hear a squeak. Has to have been the cleanest accommodation we have stayed in. Will definately stay there again.
