Detailed Reviews
Stayed over for one night, 8 Feb 16, Advertised the most comfortable beds in Gisborne, I would say probably in New Zealand. Spotless accommodation, smelt like a breath of fresh air. Highly recommended.

Very clean room with wonderfully comfortable bed. Spotless cleanliness and
very pleasant hosts and all the kitchen equipment you need - what more
could you want.
On the main road but very quiet. Didn't have breakfast but it was available
at a very good price.

Great little place if your just needing a bed. Was a very clean and tidy studio unit. Was just there to lay our heads. Would stay there again if ever we needed a place to sleep. Great heating on a wet horrible day.

Top marks to the owners of this establishment, who have taken over the reins after a number of years with managers in place. The refurbishment process is well under way with tasteful redecoration and very comfortable beds. Cleanliness was excellent and facilities were all one could ask for. The owners were very accommodating, changing our dates at short notice due to a family bereavement. Lovely warm welcome and a great sense of humour - always essential in a motel if you want return custom. The bathroom could do with a little modernising, but it was adequate for our needs. The room, (No. 2) was surprisingly quiet considering its proximity to the road.

Our 1st stay here was good ~ We would return again.
We stayed in Room 9.
The Bed & Pillows were very very comfortable.
The room was spotlessly clean and well appointed with Tea, Coffee and Milk, 32" wall mounted Flast Sceen TV and a table and 2 x chairs.
The room was SO quiet and also warm while outside was cool.
The only complaints were:
1) The state of the bathroom cabinet ( rotting away ) = time to be replaced.
2) No Security Chain on the front door lock. = The 2nd day I asked for it to be repaired \ repalced and it was completed within 1 hour! However I do feel management should have picked this up and done this automatically.
Close by to Petrol Stations, Take Aways and restaurants.
Made a good base while we went out looking for Real Estate to purchase.

We have previously enjoyed staying here and found that the managers were very friendly and accomodating.
How ever, after a LONG 7hour drive from Auckland we tried to check in at 1.45pm and were turned away as check in was 2 PM!
New owners! Hmmmm not a good start so turned away we went for a DRIVE! To pass the time until we would be allowed to check in and rest after the long drive.
Clean and tidy, BUT..... why have a fridg with an ice tray that is NEVER filled with water by the staff to have ice READY for clients staying???
Don't think we'll stay there anymore!

Warm welcome from the owner who kindly pointed out some good spots for drinks, coffee and dinner.
My room was near the back which was nice and quiet - it actually overlooks a primary school which probably works well with the hours mismatch.
Room was comfortable and clean. Bathroom was also. Good free internet. Parking onsite. Convenient location on a major road (but outside the busy part of town) means it's easy to find.
Very reasonably priced. Good choice.

I booked this because it was cheap and yet offered free unlimited wifi. The room was very comfortable. Utensils were provided but limited places to wash up so we left dirty dishes which I don't like doing. The internet speed was too slow to stream TV over, so that was disappointing for me.

Absolutely lovely place to stay. Clean, tidy and comfortable. One of the nicest places we have stayed so far!!
The room was a great size and the beds were super comfy!
If you are in Gisborne and need accomodation, do yourself a favour and book a room.

Owner was rude. Curtains don't close in the room and we caught a pervert watching my girlfriend undress through the gap in the curtains. The room was filthy with bugs in the room and on the bed. Worst place we have ever stayed at! The owners did not offer us another room or refund and were very inconsiderate. I will never stay here again!

Hi Susan
We can accommodate all 4 of you in another room @ $20.00 extra per adult. Would you like me to go ahead and change that booking for you.
Payment can be made on arrival.
Check with the proprietors, but the unit that we had was a King Size suite, but it had a second bedroom with twin beds in it. That should work out okay if it is available.
