We stayed here at the end of our amazing visit to NZ. For two weary travellers It was the perfect end to our trip. The quality of the room, the bathroom and all communal areas are due to Marlene’s care and commitment to her guests. We enjoyed chatting to guests at the communal breakfast table, something that was especially important to us as we shared our worries about trying to get home at such a worrying time. Marlene was beyond kind and helpful, offering whatever she felt she could to help us. I truly hope that the Coronavirus is halted ASAP and travel can begin again. Good luck Marlene - we hope everything works out and you open up again so that many more people can have the superb service we had. Finally, thank you for making me feel special on my birthday.

We are a group of 5 women who like to treat ourselves and meet for birthdays and other events. This was booked by one of the group who was arranging this particular weekend away. Eden Park B & B was divine. The Host Marlene was very gracious, warm and friendly and kind. The rooms were 110% and above our expectations. We had a lovely lounge to watch the America's Cup and the Host offers a small fridge with alcoholic and no alcoholic beverages at a very low price. She also goes the extra mile, with little sweeties baked for our enjoyment at no cost together with a wonderful array of teas and coffee. Marlene knows how to host and doesn't skip a thing. We felt so spoiled with a beautiful bathroom with lots of little extras for us to use. The breakfast was astonishing with such a wonderful array of different food types to suit all tastes. Her Ham Omelete was a cracker! Thankyou Marlene and Anthony I wish we were staying another night.

Marlene and Tony are friendly, warm, kind and caring hosts. The B&B is beautiful from the outside and inside. The interior decor is grand, luxurious and super comfy. The attention to detail is impeccable - iincluding little bowls of chocolate treats.. I stayed in The Cream Room and felt like a queen. The room is luxed up and the bathroom is like a spa retreat..

Loved meeting the fur babies - Pippa the spoodle dog and Louie the cat. They are very friendly and well behaved.

The B&B is picture perfect - well maintained and super clean. The garden at the back of the B&B is beautiful and a great place to escape and relax. There is street parking which is convenient and free. The supermarket, restaurants and service stores are an easy 5 minute walk to and from the B&B.

I highly recommend the Eden Park Bed & Breakfast. 100% lux experience.

I've been meaning to write a review for a while, and post-covid I hope this helps this gorgeous B&B get the custom they need. I made a last minute same day booking due to a difficulty I was having with my neighbours and was offered a special deal. I had a front room with a big ensuite, and nice touches like sweets in the room, robes, free coffee & snacks in the hallway. A nice outdoor deck and paved area to hang out in. Friendly hosts and pets, and to top it off they very sweetly offered me some of their own dinner. They also went out of their way to meet my access needs. The perfect combo of a great location, a lovely house and incredibly accommodating hosts made for a really good experience.

Eden Park B&B is outstanding accommodation. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and well appointed. Spotlessly clean, plenty of towels and an abundance of hot water. Marlene and Tony are the hosts and they go the extra mile to provide all their guests need. They provide local area guidance on activities and venues to visit or eat. They will also lend guests public transport passes that are pre-loaded with funds that you can use and then top up prior to your departure which we found very useful. They don’t have tea/coffee in the rooms but instead have a “beverage station” in the main hall that is well stocked with the standard needs plus chocolates (lots!), sweet meats and biscuits, and at a reasonable cost additional alcoholic or soft drinks. Breakfast is a 5-star spread with your personal meal being prepared to order by Marlene. This is a great location and I would certainly recommend to friends and family.

We have stayed in 5 star boutique hotels which have not been up to the standard of Eden Park. In fact the quality and service is more akin to a small luxury boutique hotel with added personal hospitality. Every detail is taken care of and the whole house carries a stamp of quality. Breakfast is a treat to be savoured.
Highly recommended

We finished our NZ South and North Islands road trip in this lovely B&B. It was well located for easy access to Central Auckland in very comfortable accommodation and tasteful furnishings. The breakfasts was absolutely perfect with all the trimmings in good company. Marlene and Tony are such wonderful hosts and make you feel at home in their house, including Darcey and Louis. We will always remember our final pit stop in New Zealand with fond memories. Thanks.

A delightful stay at Eden Park, a beautifully present Victorian Villa, and as you step inside, it is a place that has class and distinction. Your Host welcomes you warmly and shows you to your suite, I was very happy with the Blue Room, the most comfortable beds, super linen, and toiletries, every detail was thought of for the guest's total care. The breakfast presentation was a beautifully presented table with everything one could need, I chose fresh fruit salad, followed by scrambled eggs. Thank you so very much for looking after me so well, was up in Auckland for a 1-day conference and your place was perfect in every way. Cannot recommend enough this great find, as a place to stay in Auckland. Mt Eden is the perfect place with great shops and restaurants, plenty of free parking, and close to being in central Auckland quickly and conveniently

Thank you Marlene and Tony! We had a wonderful stay at the Eden Park B&B in December, our first stop off the plane in Auckland. We arrived during the family Christmas party and were welcomed right away with bubbles and good old fashioned Kiwi hospitality. Our breakfast spreads were delicious and very accommodating to our dietary needs. Highly recommend for those traveling through Auckland looking to be welcomed warmly into a local's home.

We had a one night stay at Eden Park Bed and Breakfast. What a delight! Easy Uber ride from Auckland Airport set in a very pretty area. Just houses from Eden Park Stadium itself. The attention to detail was exceptional. Marlene and Anthony have done a wonderful job in presenting this lovely old home. Our room was lovely and our bed was so comfortable. The bathroom was out of this world, everything a girl could ask for.
The breakfast was out on its own. Fresh fruit salad and omelettes made for everyone. The normal cereal was there with nice little adds like mini lemon tart, hot crossed buns and banana bread. There were cheeses and salami as well.
Darcy was a delight their Spoodle, a lovely old dog.
All in all it was such a lovely place to stay we would most certainly stay again

Our room was on the side of the house. The temperature was perfect and we didn't feel the need for air conditioning. We also visited in late February. I really think mid-February/early March is the best time to visit NZ. I doubt they really need air conditioning any time of the year though.
