Detailed Reviews
We used Runciman B&B as a base for our wedding in Bombay, the bridal party stayed the night before and got ready here and the whole family stayed the night after the wedding. The grounds are serene and beautiful, a seriously gorgeous backdrop for our pre wedding photos. The units were really functional - comfy beds, kitchen fully stocked with utensils etc, and an AMAZING snail shower! My 1 year old nephew thoroughly enjoyed his early morning walks to see the emus and the free range chickens. The morning after wedding we used the bbq to make a yummy breakfast and had a nice dip in the pool. Dealing with Jana was a breeze, she's super lovely. Would definitely stay here again (or live here if that was possible :)

We stayed one night at this picturesque B&B. They had recently finalized renovating it and it was in perfect condition. The owner's place is in a separate structure, so there is lots of privacy. The views were lovely. It is close to Auckland, taking us less than an hour from the airport. Finally, a fantastic coffee maker is included.

Gracious host and hostess. Wonderful animals to visit. Breakfast was a special treat with fresh fruits, cheeses, and breads as well as the usual fare. The airport was a quick trip down the freeway--very convenient for our last night in New Zealand.

We stayed here one night at the end of our trip because the location was convenient to get to the airport the next morning. It was a good choice -- the emus were hilarious to meet. My 11-year-old especially enjoyed feeding them and seeing how curious the young emus were. Breakfast was good, with a fine selection of breads, cheeses, fruit, and eggs.

We (2 adults and 2 young teens) stayed in Villa Apartment. We stopped there to rest before heading off to Coromandel. The villa was very nice. The bedroom and sofa bed were comfy. Bathroom was spacious. The kitchen was well equipped with a good coffee maker. There was also a washing machine and a tumble dryer. Perhaps we were a bit unlucky with a cold weather, heavy rain and winds but we felt a bit cold at night. Apart from that everything was very good. We loved the emus!

This is a lovely place, on a country farm, just south of the Auckland airport. It is very quiet, even the rooster in the morning was respectful. It is a 15 min. drive to the nearest town for meals. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom fixtures are high quality.

We stayed in the Villa Apartment. The apartment itself was lovely with everything we needed (& more) - including a 'proper coffee' machine. Its extremely spacious with a lovely bedroom & bathroom as well. Jana met us & was so welcoming showing us what was what.
There was a barbecue outside (which we didn't use) & a large table to seat 6. The views from this garden seating area were spectacular - over the farm & surrounding countryside.
It's just a shame we were only there for one night - I could quite easily have stayed for a week.

We loved our time here and would stay again. We have a three year old and a six year old and they were in heaven.
Noel, our hosts son, was amazing showing the kids the animals and letting them feed them. Great pool and spa to chill in after the day out exploring. And a wonderful (huge) breakfast to start the day!
