We (2 adults and 2 young teens) stayed in Villa Apartment. We stopped there to rest before heading off to Coromandel. The villa was very nice. The bedroom and sofa bed were comfy. Bathroom was spacious. The kitchen was well equipped with a good coffee maker. There was also a washing machine and a tumble dryer. Perhaps we were a bit unlucky with a cold weather, heavy rain and winds but we felt a bit cold at night. Apart from that everything was very good. We loved the emus!

This is a lovely place, on a country farm, just south of the Auckland airport. It is very quiet, even the rooster in the morning was respectful. It is a 15 min. drive to the nearest town for meals. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom fixtures are high quality.

We stayed in the Villa Apartment. The apartment itself was lovely with everything we needed (& more) - including a 'proper coffee' machine. Its extremely spacious with a lovely bedroom & bathroom as well. Jana met us & was so welcoming showing us what was what. There was a barbecue outside (which we didn't use) & a large table to seat 6. The views from this garden seating area were spectacular - over the farm & surrounding countryside. It's just a shame we were only there for one night - I could quite easily have stayed for a week.

We loved our time here and would stay again. We have a three year old and a six year old and they were in heaven. Noel, our hosts son, was amazing showing the kids the animals and letting them feed them. Great pool and spa to chill in after the day out exploring. And a wonderful (huge) breakfast to start the day!

I had a great stay. I loved the situation where you can look out over the rolling paddocks and watch the animals. The apartment I stayed in was spacious and warm and cosy. The bathroom was lovely with a great shower. The kitchen and dining was all I needed and the lounge and tv was large. I had a comfy bed and throughly enjoyed my 4 night stay. The fire was lovely to have on but the heating was enough to keep you warm. Ronnie looked after me perfectly and couldn't have felt more welcome. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a quiet stay in the country but close to town too!

We used Runciman B&B as a base for our wedding in Bombay, the bridal party stayed the night before and got ready here and the whole family stayed the night after the wedding. The grounds are serene and beautiful, a seriously gorgeous backdrop for our pre wedding photos. The units were really functional - comfy beds, kitchen fully stocked with utensils etc, and an AMAZING snail shower! My 1 year old nephew thoroughly enjoyed his early morning walks to see the emus and the free range chickens. The morning after wedding we used the bbq to make a yummy breakfast and had a nice dip in the pool. Dealing with Jana was a breeze, she's super lovely. Would definitely stay here again (or live here if that was possible :)

We stayed two nights in the Villa Emu apartment and our overall experience was disappointing, there were many small things that contributed to us feeling this way, but the main issues for us were our bed & lack of privacy. Our king size bed was two single beds joined by a very uncomfortable zipper. There was minimal bed linen with only a bottom sheet & two 'single' doona's. The beds were not comfortable, felt old & worn. Our bathroom linen was just as scarce with only one hard, well used bath towel each, no hand towel or face washer. Our apartment was part of and old house with the studio being the other part. There was no sound proofing at all, we could hear the other guests, as if they were in the room with us. Lots of biting insects in the house as the windows don't seem to seal properly and the lawns were long & weedy. On the positive side the outlook over the farm was lovely & it was conveniently located for our purpose. We would not stay again nor recommend this as a comfortable place to stay.

We had a wonderful stay, just too short. Jana was a wonderful hostess. She served a fabulous breakfast our first morning and packed a breakfast to go the second morning as we had a very early flight. Lovely room, the home is out in the beautiful New Zealand countryside, yet was a reasonable drive to the airport.

Located fairly close to Auckland but in such a tranquil setting, this place was fantastic. The hosts were very accommodating and the breakfast (with fresh eggs from the farm) was wonderful. Our friends stayed in the recently renovated accommodation and we stayed in the room attached to the owners property under the house. Both were lovely in their own way. We loved the huge spa bath and quirky "kiwi bach" feel to it, and although it was all one room, the single bed was set away from the double bed in a nook which our son loved. Ideal for a couple traveling with a child. The Emus were wonderful and we even got to help feed them on our farm tour. With use of the pool too and theres a sauna (in colder months), whats not to love? We would definitely stay again.
