If this hotel had managed to bother to reply to my emails i probably would not be posting this review I made a booking through Emirates Skywards for one night 12/3/24 for a single room with bathroom booking 688037670. When i arrived at the hotel the person at check in claimed that I had booked a room without bathroom. When I advised him that he was wrong he got defensive and insisted that he was not wrong as I did not have a copy of my booking with me and realized that I would probably not get a refund and not being willing to search for other accommodation I unwillingly accepted the cheaper room. In an attempt to prove he was right he gave me a printout of the booking showing room without bathroom. On returning home and checking my booking on my email from Skywards it stated room with bathroom. confused I checked the printout given to me from the hotel and it was for a completely different booking and from a different booking company booking 1154445037 that I made but now will cancel for the dates of 18/6/24 for one night not the booking made for March 2024, If the staff member had bothered to check this maybe he might have provided what I had paid for but he just smugly thrust the printout at me. I advised him at this stage that if he was wrong I would require a full refund of my booking calculated at the rate of the room that i had booked which is probably why this hotel has not contacted me. Currently under the New Zealand consumer guarantee act the did not provide a service that I had payed for and as they gave me a room without bathroom or TV there was a TV program that I really wanted to watch therefore the room was not fit for the purpose that I wanted from this hotel stay needless to say I feel ripped off by this hotel and although I have stayed previously I have no wish to return Also the condition of the share bathrooms are now of a poor state and need to be better maintained, Breakfast is no longer available and it has become more like a budget lodge not a hotel This hotel runs the risk of damaging NZ reputation in the tourist industry…

Way above average 2 Star hotel. In a great neighborhood with excellent public transportation, a 20 minute walk to the ferry terminal and CBD (you don't have to walk it, but you'll want to). The staff is great, Hotel is clean and quiet. Not all rooms have private baths, so pay attention when booking. Will definitely stay here again when in Auckland (5 night stay). And did I mention the big park directly behind the hotel?

• Luggage storage room available. Laundry service avail on site (4 bucks for washing machine, 4 bucks for dryer & 2 bucks for washing powder), Ironing service was free of charge. • Toothbrush & Toothpaste were available upon purchase @ the reception. Hot water, box fan, kettle, small fridge, tea, coffee, sugar, clean towel, soap, shampoo were all avail. The first two nights I stayed, I had to use a shared bathroom, however, it was very clean. After that I extended my stay where I was moved to another room which included a bathroom. Also, perfect location as it is situated on the busiest street in the city centre where you'll find a lot of restaurants & shops nearby even supermarkets. * The down part was that it gets very noisy at night, you could hear the traffic & people on the street screaming. Plus, the mattress wasn't in its best shape.…

Not many cities provide affordable but pleasant hotels right in the CBD. The location is great. 10 min. Walk to Aotea centre with Q theater and comedy clubs on the way. 20 min Walk to waterfront cafes and restaurants. Room with bathroom clean and good value. Parking available first come first serve. 20$Monday to Thursday. 30$ weekends. We have stayed here many times and will be back.

Kiwi International Hotel is good as a budget hotel at this price in downtown New Zealand (NZD97 per night). Reception is open 24 hours and helpful. Hotel will record your credit card details, but reception said no funds would be deducted if the stay was uneventful. Lift was built in old times and can be quite scary, it stops at your floor with a jerk, there is no window or light indicating which floor it is at. Hair dryer, heater, fan, fridge all provided, but did not see any air conditioning, maybe not needed. Hotel provides body soap and hair conditioner, but did not have shampoo. Hotel provides toilet paper but not tissue paper. There were only 3 power outlets outside the toilet, so have to switch between using TV/fridge/other equipment. I found strands of hair on the pillow, so hope the pillow casing was indeed cleaned. The hotel has many rooms along the many corridors. Poor sound insulation, could hear neighbour flushing toilet and talking on the phone. Heard many neighbours slamming their doors when leaving their rooms. There is no need to, just use the key to turn the knob and close the door.…

Stayed here for 2 nites with family of 5. Overall good cleanliness level. Near to CBD with bus available on the main road. Parking also available but limited. Booked a family room with cooking facilities provided. Value for money. A bit outdated.

We have been regular users of this hotel over the last 30 years We like the accessibility from the motorway it's central Auckland location and parking availability The hotel is a bit tired and we were disappointed that the restaurant has closed Our really biggest gripe was the attitude of the desk clerk who works in the morning and during the day He made you feel like an idiot We asked for more pillows and got told we had enough we couldn't get our heater to work and got told we didn't need the heater on at the moment When we booked we asked for a double and a single bed for 2 people we were told they had none available surprisingly when we rang back later the lady on duty was able to help us Quite frankly this person's customer repore was nonexistent We observed him telling other customers off for not listening to him On the other hand the lady in the afternoon was delightful she couldn't do enough for us and her service was exactly what we have come to expect at this hotel Kiwi international if you continue to keep this idiot on your front desk we will probably look at other accommodation …

Just place with alot of people who talks loud and love to bang the door and very dirty. It smells like curry too! Good luck sleeping nicely after 10am!! I only slept 4 hours during my holiday here. It supposed to be very relaxing and enjoyable sleep but those people ruin it.
