Reception staff were less than inviting. Our bed was broken and no compensation was given for sleeping on a broken bed, they then downgraded us and made it out like we should be grateful that they could find us a room. Overall it’s not worth the money, the lounge staff are amazing but that’s about it

5 star service from our excellent host Molly. She made our stay at cordis so warm and homely while we were here. We had recieved amazing conversations and laughs with this wonderful lady. We stayed at the Cordis for 2 nights prior to our cruise with a 4 year old and 10month and absolutely loved it. When checking in, the kids got a kids pack and my daughter thought it was the best thing! Service was excellent and all were super friendly with the kids. Pool temperature was great for our 10month old baby - slightly heated so he didn’t get cold. Breakfast at Eight was great value, we paid for my husband and I and the kids were free - so I thought it averaged out well for the 4 of us. We’ll definitely stay again when we’re back in Auckland!

High tea in the Chandelier Lounge was great. Food and service both excellent. My massage in the Chuan Spa was all good except I didn't like the masseuse rubbing the massage oil in my hair when she massaged my head.

A lovely hotel that is located in CBD near the University of Auckland with sweeping views of the city from higher floors. It is a 10 minute drive to the harbor area. The hotel has a shuttle hourly that takes guests the the center from where practically all restaurants, shopping and the harbor is a short walking distance. The hotel is in a hilly area. So walking from center to the hotel will not be easy for most. Public transportation is close by. Very helpful staff and excellent service. The breakfast is sumptuous with a wide selection. The Chandelier restaurant has a limited menu but with good choices. The best is the Chuan Spa offering an array of treatments for solo & couples. Sonee is amazing. The facial and body massage with Sonee was heavenly. Do not miss it.
