To constantly meet all the required standards to be No 1 in Loyalty & Hospitality Accor you did well right from check in to check out.
From the front desk Manager to the housekeeping staffs, they all know how to make the stay memorable. The rooms have been tastefully configured to a good standard without going over the top, with most rooms taking full advantage of the high set position with excellent views over the harbour and adjacent city view.
Aniket Amin Front desk Manager was key for our excellent stay and he gave all right sightseeing advises.

well done all.

will surely come back.

Most of the road outside is blocked off making access to the hotel for drop off etc quite limiting. Noise coming from road works starts at 8 and even on the 24th floor we could hear this. Also had room refurbishment going on on our floor which also started at 8am. Combine this with the pool being closed and it makes you realise that for the prices charged this is not the best of options, especially bearing in mind as so many others have commented that the rooms are quite tired. It was explained to us that the facilities of the sister hotel close by were available but that just felt like to much bother.
On the positive this is a really good location and the 2 bed apartment gave us the space we were looking for although the amount of kitchen utensils and crockery was pretty bear.

Dear Mike S, We appreciate you taking the time in writing us a review and sharing your experience with us. While I wish, you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. I am truly sorry for the issues caused during your stay. Auckland council has some major transportation upgrades planned in the CBD area and unfortunately, this is beyond the hotel's control. I can understand it might get a bit difficult to drive around in Auckland with roadworks happening in almost all areas. With regards to the works in the corridors, I am glad to share with you that this has been completed. We were in process of laying new carpets in the hallways. The corridors look fantastic with the new carpets and the new look. Our management team is working very hard to ensure the renovation of the pool is also completed as soon as possible. Please accept my apologies once again for all the issues you faced during your stay and we hope you give us another opportunity to serve you better in the near future. Kind regards, Aniket Amin, Assistant Front Office Manager, The Sebel Quay West Auckland.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment for 3 days. The apartment was huge, with 2 bathrooms, 2 large bedrooms, a great size lounge, full kitchen and a large balcony. The apartment was a little dated but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Everything worked as it should and we had no noise at all from any road works. The location is also excellent, very close to the ferry terminals and the viaduct and other tourist attractions. The staff were also very helpful. The pool wasn't open when we arrived but we were given free access to use the pool at their sister hotel just around the corner. We would definitely stay here again

I booked a 2 bedroom apartment as I was travelling with 4 staff members, total 5 adults. I had written in the notes, if possible could we sleep in separate beds. On arrival they had upgraded us to a 3 room apartment and the housekeepers brought additional linen so the sofa beds could be used. Our greeting at reception was friendly and genuine. My original booking had to be moved, due to COVID, and no additional fees were charged. Everything was very seem less. Very happy stay.

We had a good stay, rooms are great , plenty of room in the two one bedroom apartments that we booked. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We were four adults with 3 toddlers, 4, 2 and 4 months. After booking I asked for a cot for the baby. The email back said no problem but the rooms only have a queen bed so each room will have 2 adults and a child in each bed ?! We decided the kids could sleep on the couch but wondered why they had accepted the booking. When we arrived the couches fold out to a double and one had been made up ??? No problem but why say we will need to have a child in each bed.

Also the parking. Please warn people it is a very low ceiling 2 m max. Also give people full instructions on how to get to the parking building and how to use the doors. Construction everywhere outside right now and its confusing. Phones to get in and out of the parking dont work. I waited for 10 mins to get let out. Pretty frustrating.

I dont think its fair to advertise a heated pool when you dont have one ? The residents told me that it hasnt been operational for at least 6 months. A flyer in the room says the spa and heated pool are open from 6am to 11pm. At least warn people the pool is out of action and stop advertising the heated pool.

Would have been a 5 star review without these frustrating issues during the stay, would return though, great location.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week's holiday in Auckland at The Sebel Quay West. We were most impressed with our spacious apartment which was tastefully furnished, and well equipped, with a plentiful supply of toiletries and towels. It was great to have our own laundry room. The location was very convenient for shopping and dining, with a supermarket closeby. The staff at reception were always pleasant and obliging, and helpful with their local knowledge. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Quay West to friends and family.

The staff are friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a two bedroom apartment, huge, fantastic for a family of four. Two bathrooms, laundry, lounge, kitchen and large deck facing the water, and a smaller deck on the back. Nice touch with bottled water and chocolate.

We did think that the noise outside, with the roadworks and new buildings going up, may affect our sleep, but we both slept very well.

There is also a cafe one floor above reception, they do breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel is situated within walking distance to the viaduct, Queen Street and the ferry terminal.

Only one downfall for us would be, no robes only slippers, but then we did not ask reception if they had any at the time.

Will definitely be going back.

We stayed 2 nights in Dec 2019 - 4 of us in a 2-bedroom apartment (1 bedroom with queen bed and 1 sofa bed in the living room). Overall, it has been comfortable and I like having the kitchenette facilities that enabled us to do light cooking, e.g. cooking noodles when we were hungry at night. Since it was so close to the busy areas, most times we ate out. The rooms were cosy and clean and service impecable!

In early December, my Wife & I wanted to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of our first date and our 28th Wedding Anniversary, in the Auckland CBD. We chose the Sebel Quay West to get an apartment with a balcony & view over the Auckland Harbour. We were NOT disappointed! The day before we travelled, I received a phone call from a lovely hotel team member, to check if everything was still on track for our stay and if we needed anything else. Upon arrival, the receptionist was very welcoming and even organised for a special gift in recognition of our celebration, which was delivered to our room! We initially planned to stay for 2 nights and then visit some friends further north but sadly, one of the couple contracted Covid so we asked the receptionist if we could stay in the same room for an extra night...which they happily orgainised for us, at a very reasonable rate AND gave us a late check out! I have to say the service we received was OUTSTANDING! The team at Sebel Quay West went the extra mile as I mistakenly left one of my rings behind, which thankfully was found by a cleaner. A staff member called me while I was driving home to say it had been found & sent an email with a photo of the ring to confirm it was mine. Once I responded to say that it was, they had it couriered to me. Thank you so much to the Sebel Quay West team! We highly recommend anyone looking for an exceptional experience on Auckland's waterfront, to choose the Sebel Quay West.

Great place to stay. Very welcoming and friendly reception staff. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Hotel is only a few minutes walk from the waterfront with lots of places to eat. Also close to a small supermarket so you could use the well equipped kitchen if you wanted. Fabulous view of the cruise ships for the balcony. We heard no building noise during our stay. Easy walk to downtown shopping and the civic theatre. Spa pool was good but having towels available in the spa area would be helpful.

Auckland appears to be doing work on about 8 city blocks at the same time. The noise was quite noticible from the 17th floor, with excavators gouging through bitumen and concrete from early morning. Also, the traffic disruption is ridiculous.

How much will it cost to take a cab from this hotel to the airport?
Answer from CarrSo

Don’t know abt cab fare but I took the super shuttle from hotel to airport. It cost $36.40 for 2 of us n I think $20+ for one. U can book online and they pick u at the hotel. There r probably a couple of other pickups on the way but the timing they provided was quite accurate.

The answer given above is what I would have said. You might be able to get a 1 bedroom suite with single beds in the bedroom for the children and you could use the double sofa bed. But if the 2 year old is in a cot that won’t matter, you can go either way.
