Our first stay and definitely will return again. Our room was on Level 24, offering excellent views of the city and harbour. The suite was in excellent condition, clean, tidy, spacious. The bonus was a full sized washing machine and clothes dryer tucked away in its own small room.
The beds were of the usual high Accor standard with spare pillows, blankets and quilt in the hallway cupboard. The kitchen was fully equipped with good sized fridge, microwave oven, regular oven, electric stove top, small dishwasher and pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. Nothing really has been forgotten in the suite’s fixtures and fittings.

In early December, my Wife & I wanted to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of our first date and our 28th Wedding Anniversary, in the Auckland CBD. We chose the Sebel Quay West to get an apartment with a balcony & view over the Auckland Harbour. We were NOT disappointed! The day before we travelled, I received a phone call from a lovely hotel team member, to check if everything was still on track for our stay and if we needed anything else. Upon arrival, the receptionist was very welcoming and even organised for a special gift in recognition of our celebration, which was delivered to our room! We initially planned to stay for 2 nights and then visit some friends further north but sadly, one of the couple contracted Covid so we asked the receptionist if we could stay in the same room for an extra night...which they happily orgainised for us, at a very reasonable rate AND gave us a late check out! I have to say the service we received was OUTSTANDING! The team at Sebel Quay West went the extra mile as I mistakenly left one of my rings behind, which thankfully was found by a cleaner. A staff member called me while I was driving home to say it had been found & sent an email with a photo of the ring to confirm it was mine. Once I responded to say that it was, they had it couriered to me. Thank you so much to the Sebel Quay West team! We highly recommend anyone looking for an exceptional experience on Auckland's waterfront, to choose the Sebel Quay West.

A really central place to stay in downtown Auckland. Stayed in a one bedroom apartment that had a fold out sofa for the kids. Room had a small but useable kitchen and a washing machine and dryer in a separate laundry.
Staff were very helpful. Easy access to the city centre and the harbor.

Booking arranged through travel agent as 1st night in Auckland. Bad vibes when told hotel door was locked for safety at 2pm and we would need our room key to enter the Hotel!Apartment” looked like it was from Crossroads Motel (TV series in the UK about second rate motel during the 1960’s 70’s. Floors in bathrooms and kitchen grimy, paintwork chipped and scuffed, walls scuffed and dated and faded white goods. The showers were also yuk. When checking in we had to leave a 50$ deposit in case we caused any damage! And the piece du resistance was the mirrored wardrobe door which was smashed at the bottom. I took photos in case we were accused of causing this. This is the last time visiting NZ, hopefully our motels booked for the rest of our trip will outshine this one.

We stayed here for three nights in a one bedroom apartment.

As an accor gold member I was offered a late checkout as well as an early checkin and was left with some goodies like beer, water, chocolates etc.

The apartment was large and had a full kitchen, bathroom and a laundry, so self contained. Its was great to be able to wash our clothes after travelling for 3 weeks.

Views from our room on the 23 floor (room 2303) were sensational of the harbour. There was a large balcony to enjoy these views.

Location was great and a very short stroll to the harbour, britomart, viaduct or wynyard quarter. You are surrounded by bars and restaurants.

Whilst some reviewers indicated noise issues from the 23rd floor I experienced none.

Whilst apartment was dated and did show wear and tear on the walls we easily happy to trade this for the apartment being self contained, great views and plenty of space.

I would be more than happy top stay here again if I return to Auckland.

I booked a 2 bedroom apartment as I was travelling with 4 staff members, total 5 adults. I had written in the notes, if possible could we sleep in separate beds. On arrival they had upgraded us to a 3 room apartment and the housekeepers brought additional linen so the sofa beds could be used. Our greeting at reception was friendly and genuine. My original booking had to be moved, due to COVID, and no additional fees were charged. Everything was very seem less. Very happy stay.

So we stayed 6 nights in February just after the floods. The key points are that 1. this is a combination of holiday stays and residential apartments: 2. It is excellently located for the port and ferries: 3. It is excellently located for ‘downtown’ Auckland bars, restaurants and shops: 4: the staff are very helpful: 5. The tv really does carry films and sky sports ( which is great if you follow premier league or 6 nations rugby etc ): 6. There’s a good restaurant on site but it closes at 20.00. 7. You’re close, walking distance, to sky tower, weta, all blacks experience and the park. 8. Rooms have quite large balconies to sit out on.
There is no real down side to this as self catering accommodation (our apartment had fridge, cooker, microwave, washing machine etc) but equipment is minimal ( pots, plates etc) if that matters and it’s worth saying that the views of the harbour are compromised by the tall buildings in this area but you can still see bits of it. Moreover, beware of taxi rip offs since lots of cruise ships come in and people can’t resist making a few quid - eg we wanted to go up to Parnell Village and we’re quoted $50 by one of the ‘lads’ by the harbour but with a proper taxi (use those with 300 3000) it was $18. So never get into a taxi without sorting out a price first. And Auckland is expensive. Best tip - on your first day use the hop on hop off bus to see round the city.
Happily go back to this accommodation, however, and nothing negative to say about it.

We stayed twice at this hotel in December, at the start & end of a bigger NZ trip.

Very impressed with the size & facilities in the one bedroom apartment. The rooms and balcony are so spacious.

We did have an issue with the sofa bed being unavailable during our first stay & the website should make it clear that this may be the case as we booked the hotel specifically to use the sofa bed. However, a rollaway single bed was provided instead as well as complimentary drinks in recognition of the convenience.

We also chose the hotel as it has a pool, so it was disappointing that the renovations which were ongoing in March 2020 have not been completed yet. Perhaps the hotel should remove the photos & description of the pool unless completion is genuinely imminent.

Loved the UP cafe food & vibe, although this is a separate business.

The staff were extremely helpful. I genuinely don’t believe that you’ll find better or more spacious accommodation so close to the harbour - highly recommend & would stay again for sure.

The apartment is spacious and well lit both naturally and artificial.
Very little sounds creeps in from outside giving a quiet and relaxing experience.
The staff, available 24/7 was incredibly helpful and went out of their way to assist.
And the location could not be better suited to explore Auckland CBD and walk along the beautiful waterfront.
Also, the restraunt up located on the mezzanine is as good as they come.
Would highly recommend staying here

Auckland appears to be doing work on about 8 city blocks at the same time. The noise was quite noticible from the 17th floor, with excavators gouging through bitumen and concrete from early morning. Also, the traffic disruption is ridiculous.

How much will it cost to take a cab from this hotel to the airport?

Don’t know abt cab fare but I took the super shuttle from hotel to airport. It cost $36.40 for 2 of us n I think $20+ for one. U can book online and they pick u at the hotel. There r probably a couple of other pickups on the way but the timing they provided was quite accurate.

The answer given above is what I would have said. You might be able to get a 1 bedroom suite with single beds in the bedroom for the children and you could use the double sofa bed. But if the 2 year old is in a cot that won’t matter, you can go either way.
