I stayed in a Executive Studio for two nights with my wife and four month old little girl. Check in was a breeze and the lobby is spacious and always had someone available to help should we require any assistance. The room had everything we needed for our stay. The bed was luxurious and ensured a great nights sleep on both nights. The bathroom was spacious and clean. Although, the property is located on a busy main road, the rooms were very quiet with very little noise being heard from the street which was ideal with having a little one with us. A short 10min stroll puts you at the bottom of Queen Street and the Commercial Bay area with plenty of shopping and dining options available. Overall a fantastic stay, we highly recommend and look forward to our next stay!

My husband stayed here once by chance and now it has become the place he stays most weeks, Large, clean, quiet rooms, equipped with everything you could need, coffee machine, microwave, big screen tv, the comfiest bed and a huge bathroom with a good shower. But the best thing by far are the staff, from the friendly welcome and attentive service, you couldn’t ask for more, little touches like remembering your names, means a lot…. Have to give a special mention to Pawan, it’s just like a friend greeting you, a genuine friendly welcome back every time, makes you feel like you are home. Thanks Pawan!

This is the third time that I’ve stayed here at Beach Road. The location is central to the CBD and it’s easy to navigate for access to either the north shore or to Ponsonby, Grey Lynne and surrounding areas.
The rooms are spacious with smart tvs, a safe, as well as a desk if you need to do some work. Parking isn’t offered as part of a package however you can park close by either on the street near Anzac Ave or a nearby Wilson’s car park. Staff are professional and courteous and always willing to offer assistance when required.

I have already left a very negative Google review and just to make sure no one will make the same mistake as us booking this hotel I must leave another review here. This hotel has rooms with modern comfortable design but really lacking in terms of service to be considered a “hotel”. The basics are not up to standard. At night time good luck getting anyone to answer any calls if help is required. The night staff seems to have disappeared and 100% of the time in our three nights here we have had to get down to the reception physically for any assistance needed. Worse is that HOUSEKEEPING is LAZY. Good luck having your room made up for you even if you have left a card specifically wanting housekeeping to be done. Rooms are by default left untidied unless we remind the reception PERSONALLY every morning that we need housekeeping done every morning before we leave the hotel. We have even been ignored completely after leaving a YES card at the door when we left the room in the morning. Since when is daily housekeeping service an option in a hotel? In my many years of travelling hotel rooms should be tidied by default unless clients specifically request otherwise. It was overall a very disappointing experience for me given I had high expectations when I saw how new the hotel was. Very unhappy about the level of service and would NOT recommend this hotel, regardless of how convenient the locations is.

Our favorite hotel in Auckland, great price, minimalist yet welcoming and comfortable. Great staff. Central location and our 13th floor room had harbour views with beautiful full moon rising each night over the Waitamata and wonderful sunrises with morning sun flooding onto the bed. The bathrooms are efficiently elegant with white marble tiling and spacious showers. Clean, well appointed Imagine is excellent value for a relaxed comfortable Auckland city stay.

Great hotel and great staff made this visit memorable. I got a room at this hotel while the rest of my group stayed at a nearby Air BnB (it slept 8 and our group had 9 people). The staff at the hotel was amazing, I was able to get an early check in and my room, including bathroom was clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable, desk worked well, WiFi was good and easy to access through tour the stay on multiple devices (iPhone, iPad, laptop). The location was good, easy walk to grocery store (Countdown), downtown area, and path along coast to walk or run in the morning). The staff also helped to arrange multiple taxis to take me and the rest of my group to the cruise port on the day we were leaving.

Beautiful rooms, friendly staff downstairs. Location is amazing, short walking distance to pretty much anywhere in Auckland CBD. The rooms and nice, modern and very pleasant with lovely furniture and massive TVs. I accidentally had two consecutive bookings but when I notified the reception they said I can definitely stay in the same room and don't have to move after my 1st booking is done. Definitely recommend this hotel.

After booking this hotel more than 2 months ago with a confirmed booking, I arrive after 3 1/2 flight from Melburne to find my reservation had been cancelled as my credit card was declined. Keep in mind I arrived 8:30 pm and check in is between 2-11pm. Woman at the desk stated hotels full nothing they can do about it, hotels full, if I give you a room you would be taking somebody else reservation (lol) . We ran the card again with me present and the card worked fine. I told her find me a room and get me the manage. He's not here, so after much discussion she called him and magically a room appeared. Whole experience and poor attitude of the staff was the worst I have experienced as seasoned traveler. Many choices of hotels in Auckland. Avoid.

There is a supermarket 2 minutes walk across the road which is convenient.
The air con unit was leaking so the floor underneath it was soaking wet.
We also had an interconnecting room so we could hear the people next door.

The room and bathroom are extremely clean and spacious, along with the other amenities being more than exceptional as well. The location is also perfect for access to the CBD area, as well as a Countdown and new cafe right across the street. But more than that, the staff (especially the Assistant Hotel Manager :) ) are all so lovely and truly provide the best experience all around. Their kindness and willingness to prioritise your needs is more than you could ask for, and I am ever so grateful to be staying at Imagine.

"To avoid sitting in Reception for 4 or 5 hours let them know you need an early check in. They don't have staff to service rooms early in the morning to speed things up. "
