Nice clean and comfortable rooms. Great bathroom and comfortable beds Rude breakfast Gen Z man this morning on 22nd who made it clear he was not interested in serving us. Asked if we gave a room number when we walked in. Said we couldn’t as no one welcomed us. Told us off for sitting where we wanted and moved us. Very rude and disappointing after everyone else was so nice. Great breakfast selection - nice food. Helpful concierge. There’s a strip bar next door. Decor very gaudy but I guess fun. Not my taste. For the money I may return - reasonable value.

Came through for an business event. And my goodness, this place is out of this world!!. What a venue, a place, a hotel!! Great customer service from the start to the end. Great room, and plenty of amenities, Could not fault this place at all. The staff here should all be proud of the hotel not only that they work at but help make this hotel the best I have ever stayed at. Auckland should be proud of this quirky, upbeat hotel experience conveniently located around everything you need and nothing you don’t. Leshhhhh puuuuuusssshhhh!

Highly recommend SO/Auckland! GM Tarek has done an incredible job to curate an exceptional 5-star experience at this superb modern and professional lifestyle hotel. The team of staff, especially Rhona, are friendly and go above and beyond to ensure a high-quality stay. I am Diamond member and have stayed at numerous ALL hotels and this one is a top choice, especially with the two level Club Signature. Hospitality was impeccable from concierge, reception, management, and service staff. I stayed a few times, and highly recommend the SO/Club and SO/Lofty, which really elevate the ALL hotel experience. SO/Lofty offers high-end collaboration of comfort and style with Superette, however, all rooms are spacious, clean, and provide complimentary snacks (a rare extra bonus). I also had an amazing massage, enjoyed the gym, pool sauna, and meals and drinks at the roof top restaurant and bar, which include fabulous views. I honestly cannot recommend this hotel enough, in fact I am checking in again tomorrow.

First off I was labeled ms I am definately a mr, My partner and i and my partners boss ( both in Nz for business ) had opportunity to stay on this hotel, Our room had some issues on arrival a Quick Look the body wash ( dark bottle ) in shower was off centre I found it to be empty I went out and approached housekeeping staff to advise they fixed it straight away , the other two bottles being clear and half full not a good look , there was an ink stain on the top bedsheet, a dark spot and small holes in the left side sheet curtain , my partner found the toilet unflushed, there was dust on many surfaces , the wallpaper is separated in places on the wall , I went to the pool area - nice however the sauna floor needed a good scrub under the benches and a good hose out it had a waft to it, at the rooftop bar our table glass had old spills underneath the glass and there was a stain on the seat , I noted no staff wore name badges nor introduced themselves by name even at reception / lobby level Nor breakfast , downstairs , at breakfast the scrambled egg was burnt or had been and this spoiled the taste the bacon was soggy , overall the choices were less than would be expected for a premium property, Service intermittent used plates left uncleared while staff checked their phones or chatted idly, At reception the lady had to check the password under the keyboard many times or at least something on a page under the keyboard , before being able to check the tablet screen or sign in , not sure which , in order to check status of our second room booking / room status , The tv’s had issues in both rooms but we werent there to watch tv , the concierge could not advise about the Bentley ie can it be be hired by guests or any other information he said to contact sales about it , Overall a good stay but I did find the weird bathroom / shower setup with sliding glass to be very odd indeed , ok for one but a couple or more not so Much , there is no privacy at all , I would still recommend the property as it is a good property with some small issues that did not impact on our stay in a significant negative way but do need attention , guests are the focus , Added are photos from our stay as reference .

One night stop at this modern hotel. Special thanks to the receptionist who checked us in. She was so friendly and easy going! Hotel lobby is nice and lifts very modern. Our room was spacious corner room, huge bathroom and interesting lay out. Some traffic noise, though. And there was not reading lights beside the beds. We visited Club Signature Lounge, at that night there was not much to tell. We had our dinner at hotels high floor restaurant. Nice views, tasty food and friendly service. We also liked the breakfast next morning. Very friendly check-out, too.

We stayed here to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary as having previously stayed at other hotels in the Accor Group within Auckland. SO Auckland really is fantastic and certainly worthy of its 5-star status. The friendly, helpful and very professional staff that greet you whether at the front desk, concierge, Harbour Society, Hi-So really make it. The room was very spacious, great view and had everything we needed to make our stay special including one of the most comfortable beds. The nice touches along the way; with the free non-alcoholic mini bar stocked with something for everyone was great. Breakfast was lovely and great to be able to use the juicer to make your own customised drinks with the fresh fruit and vegetable options. I have and will certainly be recommending this hotel to all my friends and we can't wait to stay here again. Shame we couldn't have stayed longer but thanks for making it such a memorable event for us!=

We recently stayed 9 nights at SO/ Auckland. We're Accor Platinum members and we chose this hotel because of the good reviews for their Club Signature Lounge. From the moment we arrived at SO/ and were checked in by Greta at Reception (who upgraded us) we knew we had made the right choice. We enjoyed breakfast at Harbour Society restaurant each morning and were well looked after by Selina and Paulina. We were able to get a window seat most mornings and ate our breakfast looking over the harbour, watching ships arrive, unload and leave, and the ferries going to and from Devonport and Waiheke Island. We went to the Club Signature Lounge each evening where we enjoyed the company of a number of other SO/ guests who we got to know during our stay. Front Office Manager Julie Cavaillon introduced herself to us on our first evening in Club Signature, and then checked-in on us on most evenings to make sure our stay at SO/ was running smoothly. Julie very capably leads a happy and efficient team and we're pleased to commend Naise, Awekage, Alessa, Celina and Cam for their friendly and attentive service to us in the Club lounge. After each busy day visiting the tourist attractions and shops of Auckland and surrounds we really enjoyed relaxing in Club Signature and being looked after by Julie's team for a couple of hours. There was a nice selection of food each evening, matched by a good choice of wines, spirits, soft drinks, tea and coffee. When we left the Club lounge we'd head to our private balcony that overlooked Customs Street, watching the ferries continue their journeys back and forth across the harbour as the sun set. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at SO/ and highly recommend it to other prospective visitors to Auckland.

I’ve stayed at the Grand Hotel SkyCity and Cordis plenty of times and a few other hotel in Auckland but this is the best we’ve ever stayed at AND better value. Bathtub in the so/ play twin room was amazing. So relaxing. Very customer friendly and room has free non alcoholic mini bar with snacks and they make you feel really welcome. They wrote a happy birthday card and a macaroon plate for my best friends birthday. Pool area was clean and quiet. Really relaxing. Rooftop bar was really nice and not too overpriced Would recommend booking a table even for early in the evening. Only down side at the bar was there was no one to greet you and we stood at the bar for 5 mins waiting to be acknowledged and it wasn’t even busy. Once we got service it was really quick to be served our drinks and food. Beds super comfy and the hotel smells amazing (odd comment but it really does!) Thanks for an amazing stay ❤️

Because it was our anniversary we were thrilled to be upgraded to a higher up room. Interesting that the bathroom is part of the room and quite quirky ! Beautiful tall glass doors seperate the toilet and shower but the hand basin is just behind the bed! A lovely experience! Until breakfast…… We were greeted, asked what coffee we wanted before we were seated to be told that they didn’t have any decaf! - surely they could get some given there are two other eateries on the premises? I told the waiter I am gluten-free and she showed me to some gf bread right next to a gf toaster with a big glutenous bagel in it! Oh dear! Then she disappeared. A young man brought over a decaf americano- I had asked for a short black with a little pot of hot water. I asked him for serviettes to soak up the coffee spilt in the saucer. I also asked if he could get the chef to grill me some gf bread. I wanted fruit salad to go with the array of yoghurts but there were just slices of melon and pineapple …. I saw a chef making an omlette and asked if he could make me one - he pointed to a waitress for me to order from her. Ok. Didn’t feel looked after. Would’ve like one of the waitstaff to talk to us about what there was on offer or what she could suggest but instead we witnessed a lot of whispering between them but none of them helping us in any way. We left. No one came after us to see if they could help with anything No one really cared. I mentioned this as we checked out the next day and the manager thanked me for my feedback and didn’t charge us for the breakfast. Fair enough I like that they handled it and probably should’ve gone straight to the manager at the time but we were catching the ferry to Waiheke so - no time. Lastly - the bed was great and very comfortable but we could hear a lot of Saturday night wheelies and motorbikes as well as the dull sound of trains beneath us. We were on the 12 th floor! I
