We have just spend a delightful two day stay with Christine and Antony at Eden Villa B&B. Perfectly located 5kms outside of the Auckland CBD, the villa is beautifully appointed, clean and spacious, with lovely gardens and outdoor relaxing spaces. Christine and Antony were exceptional hosts; friendly, helpful, attentive to our needs and their breakfasts are plentiful and delicious. There is a great selection of food and wine options just a 5 minute walk from the villa and a bus service into the Auckland CBD. We have no hesitation in recommending Eden Villa B&B and look forward to returning again to our home away from home in Auckland. Chris & Felicity

This was our second time at Eden Villa. First of all, Christine and Antony are lovely hosts, very attentive and caring. We felt, again, truly welcome and enjoyed our stay so much. The house is beautiful and remarkably well maintained, the rooms are elegant, comfortable and very clean. The interior and furniture is tasteful and there is also a wonderful garden. Breakfast is tasty and plenty, very good bread, yoghurt, fresh fruit and more. Christine even got some dairy free yoghurt and milk for us, as we don’t eat dairy products. In summary: exceptional! In addition, Mt Eden Village is a pleasant place to stay in Auckland, close enough to the city centre, but still very calm and relaxed. Bus stops to city and airport are just three minutes from Eden Villa. Christine and Antony, thank you so much for everything. We hope to come back to New Zealand and to your lovely home again.

Kind regards
Marcus & Anne

We stayed here for two days at the beginning of our 4-week-holiday in December 2014. The place is so beautiful. Christine should earn an Award for her Interior-Decorating-Skills, her mouth-watering breakfast and for finding us the perfect place to stay over the Christmas days on the south Island (@Christine: it was so nice in Blenheim. And the food and wine tasted great). And thank you Anthony for the warm welcome and the freshly made Christmas-Fruit-Cake. We were exhausted after a 35-hour-journey but felt instantly at home. You two are the perfect hosts. And of course the room and the bath were both wonderful. We would love to come back! @Christine: Sorry it took us so long to write the rating! You really deserve all the praise!

So pleased that your time in the South Island didn't disappoint. Hope you were treated to a traditional Christmas at the Bed & Breakfast in the south. Best wishes Christine

I arrived latish and was greeted by Anthony with a smile and a chat. I was in town on business and this was perfect for me. A quiet night sleep. Superb facilities for my needs. A great breakfast. Such a trusting couple and I hope I can return to spend more time soaking up the ambience and eating out in the nearby wonderful Eden village. Thanks.

So much better than an impersonal hotel, our stay at Eden Villa was brilliant. The accommodation was elegant, tasteful and exceptionally clean. The hosts were charming and we were made to feel at home away from home. The location was perfect, just off Mt Eden Road, close to quality restaurants and transport. The bus from the airport stops on Mt Eden Road, so very convenient to the airport as well as to the city. I can't speak highly enough of Christine and Antony and the exemplary B&B they have established. We stayed a week and it was a highlight of our trip to Auckland.

Eden Villa is a lovely period property in a quiet street in the Auckland suburb of Mount Eden. Christine & Antony are wonderful hosts - really welcoming and great with advice for travellers. Breakfast is great too - Christine used fresh herbs from the garden in our omelettes.
Mount Eden has a lovely high street with some good eateries and it's also on a bus route providing easy access to the CBD and tourist sites.
We'd go again in a heartbeat.

We found Eden Villa Bed and Breakfast via Trip Advisor when planning our trip to New Zealand - and what a great choice it was. Eden Villa is a beautiful house, built around the turn of the last century. It's beautifully furnished with a guest lounge and lovely garden to sit in too. We stayed in the Floral Room which was really comfortable. The location is great too, a bus into the centre of Auckland stops 3 or 4 mins walk away and takes about 15 minutes. Mount Eden is a lovely neighbourhood with plenty of cafes and restaurants, we had a great meal at Frasers, less than 5 mins walk away. Most importantly though, Christine and Antony are wonderful hosts. They are kind and really helpful, providing us with restaurant recommendations and booking us a shuttle to the airport. It feels more like staying with friends! Thanks to you both for a great start to our holiday in New Zealand.

Needed to stay in the central Auckland area for a couple of nights and wanted to avoid the traffic so picked this place, a short drive from where I needed to be. Turned out to have been an inspired choice! The host was welcoming, the room was comfortable, and the amenities clean beyond fault. Felt like I was staying with one of the family, a meticulous member of the family. Breakfast was, again, perfect for what I needed to get going for the day. Was able to park my car on the roadside safely but the hosts can arrange off road parking if necessary. I have rated this 5 stars, but it is certainly a 6 star place to stay that will make you feel at home and that goes above and beyond in the presentation of rooms, amenities, and breakfast.

We stayed 4 nights at the beginning of February arriving at 7am directly from our overseas flight. We had expected to have to leave our luggage and go to a cafe for breakfast until our room would be ready for check-in. To our surprise we were able to get in to our room right away and were welcomed for breakfast too. We learned that our hosts had moved out of their own room, accommodating another guest there, so that the room was ready for us. We stayed in the Romo room, and based on the website description we expected to be able to access the garden from the French doors, however they were locked. We could get to the garden via the kitchen, but only when the hosts were home. When they were not home the kitchen door was locked. Breakfast was served family style and was a selection of croissants & toast with jams and marmalade, excellent homemade granola, fruit, yogurt, and eggs cooked to order, with your choice of tea or espresso coffees. Getting to and from the airport is easy as the Skybus stops are only a couple of blocks away.

Thank you for your review, it was good of you to take the time to write it. It is a pleasure to welcome you and have breakfast. with the other guests. I am sorry you couldn't open the bedroom door, it does have a key which needs to be unlocked. We have no locked internal doors (apart from guests bedrooms) so I am sorry you did not feel free to come in and out. I am sure you had a lovely time in New Zealand and are enjoying a lovely Spring in the Northern Hemisphere. Best wishes Christine & Antony
