The Four Points by Sheraton Auckland was the perfect home base for our 4 days in Auckland. It's location on the edge of the CBD made it more reasonably priced than many other hotels so that's why we chose it.
A $300NZ incidentals was charged to my card at check-in with the condition of refunding it after the portfolio was settled. This isn't a practice I am used to but it was fine.
We paid for a corner room and breakfast and after seeing how small that room is, I'm glad we chose it. We had a glimpse of the SkyTower, which was really great. Our room was clean but several requests for items made through the app were not recognized. Our shower, while small, had great pressure and easy to regulate temperature. The only draw back is that the bathroom door didn't allow for much privacy. If you're sharing a room, it had better be with someone you really love. The fire alarm is directly above the bed and has a red light that is quite distracting. Lights were difficult to figure out, but we got it.
We enjoyed breakfast and the chef made perfectly poached eggs for me - thank you! Staff at breakfast were welcoming and kind. Staff at check-in seemed to be prepared for battle each time, which wasn't necessary. They warmed up during our interactions. While I've pointed out some issues, they aren't deal breakers. Knowing what I know now, I will choose the Four Points again if it is prices reasonably.

We checked in at room 2001 specifically for the SkyTower views in prep for the new years. This made our room quite luxurious with ceiling to floor window panels and natural light even in the bathroom. The front desk personnel were polite and efficient; room service was prompt. The location is quite central as we are 10 min walk away from Sky Tower and 3-5 min walk away from eateries. The room had all the amenities I needed as listed. The only gripe was the design of the shower drain which was located outside of the shower and would not sufficiently catch all the water, leaking out to the main bathroom floor. I imagine it is a pain for housekeeping, not so much of a problem for us.

Simple but it works. Hotel is in good location, as the brand, not a luxury hitel but simple. Breakfast was standard. No significant menu (full buffet NZ 39), wifi is fine, but tooth brush is NOT provided. The first night the TV is not working and the phone press button number 2 is broken too, so to call from my room 503 to my other family in 1702, we can not do that. Thanks to whasapp technology. Other than that, location makes easy to find restaurant and transport.

Very welcoming check-in. Foyer appears a bit crowded but it’s the layout. Multiple lifts however it’s still slow to get a car. Our room was on the 15th floor and had a king bed, which was super comfortable. We were given a room with a disabled bathroom (didn’t request/need one). Plenty of bench space and one drawer. However no hooks to hang the large towels up so hung them over the curtain rail.
The bar fridge had milk in it but that’s it. Bottles of water were provided.
On the desk was a notice that if you stayed 2+ nights they’d leave you alone. But just ask for anything. Suited me. However day 2 the staff did come in, made our bed, changed the towels (why?) so confused.
Breakfast is downstairs with a full choice on offer.

I stayed here for 4 nights during my trip to Australia for the Australian Open and it was pleasant. The location is in a subdued area of Auckland on Queen Street, not much happening here and things close pretty early; however, lots of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The room was cozy and clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel has a rooftop gin bar that is pretty cute, not much of a gin drinker though but I tried one of the specialty cocktails. Enjoy talking with the servers and bartenders who had a great deal of education on gin, it was very interesting. Most of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful so I appreciated that. Although, the service at the Queen restaurant on the 1st level of the hotel was quite interesting. The staff seemed pretty uninterested in serving us like the others so after the 2nd day we left them be. The concierge was also helpful in arranging hotel transfers to and from the airport so that made it easier for us. Also, the hotel is in close proximity to the ferries so you can walk straight down Queen street to the dock to catch one. In all, it was a pretty good budget friendly hotel and I enjoyed my stay here.

We stayed 2 nights in a city view room that had a great view to the tower and bridge.
• All the staff we delt with had polish. • We were grateful for the balcony in our room.
The hotel is located in the university, arts precinct. Easy to walk down Queen Street to shopping areas.
• We encountered a couple of mishaps, in our room and our dinner at the restaurant downstairs and they were handled well. • Communication between staff and management with these mishaps was mostly handled very well [not so good with the young lady that handled the issue in the restaurant], and the management of the issues was unlike anything we have ever seen before, thank you! • The bed mattress has a lump in the middle, needs replacing or flipping • Staying directly under the Churchill bar was noisy, with what sounded like chairs being dragged across the floor until early hours of the morning. • Bathroom is small and the shower although good, is tiny! • Bathroom amenities i.e. soap, shampoo etc. are HIGHLY perfumed.
All in all we enjoyed our stay and found it much much better than the sister property, that we had stayed in 10 days earlier than this. We would have no issues with staying here again.

I have been traveling the world and enjoying being a Marriott Bonvoy Elite Member and also with other Hospitality Elite Memberships. Coming to New Zealand for the first time and staying at the Four Points in Auckland was amazing. When first checking in the staff was courteous and efficient. They everything in the world got our four nights stay ….. receiving our room upgrade and other amenities. The rooms were clean , modern and in perfect condition. We were placed on the top guest floor and it was quiet and the view was breath-taking. The hotel is centrally located to downtown so very convenient to shops, restaurant and the casino at Sky City. Most tours come right to the hotel for the excursions so no need to run away trying to catch your tours. The concierge was very proficient with getting their guests the right entertainment / information / fun ! Uber rides were cheap and with our rental car for longer drives for sightseeing not provided by the tour group the parking fee (valet was our option) was very reasonable ! Overall a perfect spot to relax for the night !!! Enjoy the stay and be amazed.

Due to our flight arriving ahead of schedule, we arrived at the Four Points quite early in the morning. I wish I made note of the front desk staff name (from Japan) but she was so helpful and friendly during our stay. A definite asset for this hotel.
We had a nice corner room with a very large bathroom. Bath features included separate tub with wall mounted TV, enclosed toilet and lots of counter space.
I opted for the breakfast each morning instead of the Marriott bonus points. Breakfast was served every morning at the lobby level. The selection of hot and cold items were good and filled us up each morning. The kitchen would also cook eggs any style per request. I liked the fact that they also served golden kiwis every morning since they are much pricier in the US.
The gym was in the basement and had a full set of cardio equipment and weights. At this level there was also a convenient exit to Queen Street which saved some steps instead of walking up/downhill from the main lobby entrance. From here it was an easy walk to CBD and the waterfront for restaurants and attractions.
At checkout, the staff let me park my rental car temporarily in the front until we could get everyone packed and out the door. Appreciated their flexibility.
We would return here if we have the opportunity to come back to Auckland.

We celebrated wedding anniversary with my wife here for a night. We both live in Rotorua and we booked a Room Suite 2 weeks before the day of our anniversary. The booking was easy and detailed specially regarding the direction going to the hotel and its entrance. We tried to park our selves in the nearest pay parking but found out that you can only pay for 12 hours worth of parking. So we just decided to use the valet service (50 nzd). Upon arriving at the hotel we were greeted by the staff and they were really friendly and accommodating. After getting our room keys we proceeded to the room. Hotel lobby is clean and quiet and elevator is easy to use. Upon arriving at the room we found out that they didn't give us the suite we wanted which suppose to have a bath tub and sky tower view. So I went back to the reception to clarify why they gave us a much smaller suite on the 20th floor. So after checking again they said that they will transfer us to the room that we wanted in the 19th floor. I really appreciate that there was no hassle from their side since we were also a little bit tired from our travelling that day. When we got there the room was so much better and comfy. So for those who want to book a suite make sure to pick rooms with a view facing the sky tower and with a bath tub. Room was very clean and there was a champagne waiting for me and my wife to celebrate our anniversary. We had a comfortable and relaxing stay. Room is 9.5/10. Breakfast starts at 6:30am till 10am. Breakfast options was good and typical for a hotel. Egg station, bacon, sausage, hash, mushroom, selection of breads and pastries, fruits, cereals, cold meat, cheeses, fruit drinks and hot drinks. Restaurant staff was also attending us all the time and were really professional. Would rate overall breakfast experience to 9/10.

We are Titanium Elite members and stayed here using points. I had submitted an upgrade request, and we were upgraded to a corner, Tower view room with a huge ensuite with tub and separate shower. The location is good. it's just a short walk to Queen St. and restaurants. It is a short cab ride to the War Memorial Museum and cruise port. We very much enjoyed the Churchill bar on the 20th floor. The views are amazing, however, we chose to sit outside on one of the two balconies because the noise level inside made conversation difficult.
