I really loved my stay at Zagame's House, it has such a different vibe from the usual hotel with a real focus on art, design and ambience. The room was nicely laid out with incredible attention to detail, from the products in the bathroom, thoughtfully placed USB ports and power sockets through to cocktail making facilities, The bed is huge and super comfortable.

The gym is definitely one of the better ones I've seen in hotel with a range of equipment and the lobby has a cafe, ideal for working.

The location is ideal, with close walking distance to the CBD and easy access to neighbourhoods such as Fitzroy.

What a special boutique hotel - from the special touches in the room from decor, design, light switches, hair straighteners/blow dryer, beautiful shower and soap products move this hotel above others. There is also an amazingly functional gym with kettles, battle ropes and pull-up bars (best hotel gym ever) along with 5 star brekkie offerings and the fine dine style quality of food and beverages at the Lord Lygon Bistro. The location is also second to none with the well known Lygon Street restaurant strip on the doorstep and a short stroll/tram ride to the City and the well known Vic Market. I cannot recommend this hotel enough and we are definitely planning to come back (in a month or two) for another memorable experience.

Very trendy and just on the edge of the city. It's an easy walk to everything Melbourne city has to offer but without the noise and bustle of staying in the middle of town. Beautiful rooms but make sure you pay a little extra for the slightly larger room and ask for an outside window. Some of the smaller rooms only have frosted glass as an outlook. The staff are incredibly helpful and nothing was a problem. breakfasts are good also, although on the first day we had to wait nearly 40 mins for our order, but I think there may have been a problem in the kitchen as every other day the meals arrived in a good time. Once again, the wait staff were super friendly and helpful

We stayed one night at Zagame House. We really enjoyed our stay. The service at checkin and in the breakfast room was friendly and efficient. The room was well appointed with an excellent selection of free movies and a container of things that are commonly forgotten by travelers, free to use
The location is excellent in Lygon Street with so many restaurants nearby and also handy to public transport if needed although the hotel has its own car park.

My stay at this hotel was for a work trip and left an overall good impression. As a group, I can understand that it can be overwhelming for staff to check in a large number of people. However, I felt that the staff were not detailed enough in their guest spiel. A lady checked me in and rushed through the process. There was no greeting, she took my ID and debit card with no indication with what she was going to do with it. I read through a form that stated liabilities. The lady scanned my ID with the printer without saying she was going to. I later saw in my bank account that she took a $10 authorization, which wasn’t stated either. Previously working in hotels, I believe that this was quite poor because a guest should be told what is happening with their personal documents. It leads me to other questions of how the information is stored with the liability form and the scanned ID.

The rest of the hotel experience was excellent and the room was perfect for a corporate traveler. There is an environmental awareness in the hotel with towel service and lead pencils. The minibar was stocked with an assortment of snacks and beverages. The bed was comfortable with pillows a plenty. I think that it was an excellent initiative to have a price list with what is complimentary and what is paid so the guest is aware of expenses the entire time.

The architecture of the hotel is quite interesting with the rooms following an outdoor corridor. It’s a quirky design but works with the theme of the hotel. It’s in a good location with plenty of eateries around. If you are staying in Carlton, I would recommend staying here.

Truly Zagame’s House is the best hotel in Melbourne, for location, service, parking, and all the extras they offer. Rooms are really modern and have all that you require even hair straighteners, tea & coffee, coffee machine, mini bar, 24hr room service, laundry, iron, hair dryer and beautiful soaps & lotions all supplied. Room service is fantastic and I’m always blown away by the menu offered, service and presentation. The most comfortable beds and bedding. Nothing is too much trouble for the fabulous staff, it truly is a credit to Manager Tanya who is seen working along side her team and always happy to chat and check up on your stay. Her team are amazingly professional and so friendly always a wave and so professional. I stay here often and would not go anywhere else, having treatment in Melbourne I feel safe and comfortable it offers everything you need, clean, modern luxe industrial design.Thank you to Tanya and her team I’m grateful as nothing seems to be too much trouble. Definitely recommend this Hotel for so many reasons, once you stay with Zagame’s you’ll not be disappointed. Thanks once again 😃

We spent four days at zagame’s House. The staff upon check in and out were very friendly. The room was small but well appointed with all the amenities one would need, it was certainly a home away from home. The shower was spacious and I loved that shampoos, conditioners and shower gels were full size so no need to negotiate small bottles which were never enough for two people! They even had a hair straightener which only one other hotel we ever stayed at had and that was mandarin Oriental in Barcelona. The on-site car park was a real winner as we drove from interstate. In and out of car park as you like with a swipe of your room key, no need to wait for valet etc which we always found to be a hassle in big chain hotels . Did I mention it’s location? Walking distance to all restaurants on Lygon st not to mention a short 10 minute walk to the city. Overall, a fabulous hotel and we’ll sure to visit again.

We stayed four nights in Zagame's House in a house room. The room was stylish and clean and we felt it was a decent size for a city hotel. I loved the full size Cowshed toiletries (no mini toiletries that run out after a couple of uses - hooray!) and the excellent hairdryer and straighteners. The bed was comfortable and despite its central location the room was very quiet. We enjoyed staying in Carlton and the helpful and friendly front desk staff were able to suggest places to eat nearby, which we found to be excellent. We felt Zagame's House offered excellent value for money and would definitely stay there again if in Melbourne. Thanks for a great stay!

I had a wonderful little stay at Zagame's House recently. Located in a convenient location on the edge of the CBD, Zagame's is vibrant, fresh, and the staff are really welcoming - they're really proud of the hotel product that's been created! The room I had was cleverly designed to maximise space, the king bed was super comfortable and the bathroom generous in size with beautiful amenities. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

Hey Nick, Thank you so so very much for staying with us recently. With all that is going on in the world at the moment, we greatly appreciate you choosing to stay at our House. Our industry has been hit very hard all over the world, so the few guests staying with us each night we truly value and want to look after as much as we do during 'normal' times. I hope to see you again when the world is back to it's 'semi' normal-self once again. Take care and stay safe, Adam

This place is incredible!

Firstly the actual hotel is amazing. The decor is just what we were after, think Art Deco chick. The bed is super comfy, just what you want when you stay at a hotel!

But what really blew us away was the service that the staff offered. A big mention goes out to Jimmy, Polly and another blonde lady on reception (whose name we unfortunately didn’t catch).

We booked our stay with Polly over the phone and she greeted us when we arrived. She was incredibly friendly and we instantly felt at home. We made a number of calls to reception when we arrived and each time Polly answered with a friendly manner and no ask was too much trouble for her! Amazing!

The room was perfect! Ample room for a couple. The shower is large with great water pressure. The vanity mirror is cool with a touch activated halo light. And the bed feels like you’re sleeping on a cloud!

We went out that night and felt a bit rusty the next day. Popping down to reception a blonde lady noticed us and checked in with us to make sure we were okay. Once again, fantastic customer care.

Some other residents were a bit noisy one night and we called reception to notify them. The noise was quickly resolved by Jimmy on reception. The next day Tanya (hotel manager) emailed us apologising for the noise and checked in with us to see how we were. We were not expecting this and it is a real show of the incredible attention to detail with customer care that this hotel offers.

So overall, it was a magnificent time and we were truly blown away by the customer service. We loved it and we most certainly will be staying here when we’re back in Melbourne!!
