Detailed Reviews
My family stayed in this hotel in July 2022 and we really enjoy our stay . Friendly and helpful staff, clean and modern looking lobby and room interior, spacious and cozy rooms with really nice shower.
The hotel has very quite surroundings, so if you like quite, this is the hotel for you. The location is around 500 meters away from Flagstaff Station, and also very near to 2 free tram zone stops. Flagstaff Garden is just 5 minute walk, where you can cross to reach Queen Victoria Market and restaurants.
During our stay and due to COVID situation, only in-room dining is available until 9 p.m. There is also a cafe next to the lobby for light meals.
Wifi is free and works very well.

I have given 4 star rating due to multiple factors which I will talk about later however the hotel itself deserves a 5 Star rating as a business hotel and not a family hotel with children. The property is newly built in 2022, I think so everything works well and looks nice. As a long term Marriott elite member, I got a room upgrade without asking, which is a big plus for me. The room was nice and spacious. Toilet and shower area was of great value however the hotel could invest a little bit more in upgrading the towels quality. For two nights stay, I was only provided with two tiny milk capsules and unfortunately they were not replenished by the housekeeping staff. Location is slightly out of the Melbourne CBD grid so be prepared to walk for 10-15 minutes. The hotel is surrounded by residential apartments so I had to be careful with the curtains. Not too many facilities for the kids like pool etc. I was still happy because it was a business trip and I was hardly in the hotel. I would definitely be going back whenever my next trip to Melbourne is due. Cheers. BTW the bed and linen was of the highest quality.

Marriott has upgraded this brand new Courtyard into more of a boutique style hotel. Being a new hotel everything is immaculate. We are members in the Bonvoy loyalty program, and were pleasantly surprised by the room upgrade to a lovely suite on the 16th floor. The king bed was super comfy, and the rain shower was excellent. Breakfast was delicious. One of the best omelettes we have ever had! We also ordered room service and the meals were delivered in 30 minutes. Everything was hot, well presented, and very tasty. The entire staff were very friendly and accomodating. We particularly enjoyed chatting with Aditya at breakfast and in the tapas bar. We highly recommend a stay here, and we also will be returning. The location is within walking distance to the free tram that can take you all around Melbourne.

+1
Location is within walking distance to Queen Victoria Market but because we drove, can't comment on the accessibility to public transport. Parking at the hotel is expensive though.
Hotel is generally still very new, having just opened 2 months ago. So everything is new, clean and modern. Rooms are a good size, very spacious even for 2 with all basic amenities. I love the huge glass windows that puts through good daylight. Bed is firm and comfortable, a bit on the high side, so for average height Asians like us, we had to jump into bed.
Bathroom is abit small though the standing shower area is a good size. Full amenities provided except toothbrush.
Breakfast is part a la carte and part self-service buffet (with just croissants, Danish pastries, toast, yoghurt and its condiments and fruits). Limited selection but decent in quality.
Service was excellent. Despite their limited manpower, the staff are always full of smiles, ever so friendly from Vedran and Sai at the front desk to the restaurant servers. Reny was also very helpful in providing some excellent suggestions on food places when she found out we were heading to South Melbourne Market.
It's been a great stay and I look forward to returning.

I am interstate for business on a regular basis and have stayed in many well rated accommodation venues however, I struggle to find anything to criticize at this hotel. The staff are amazing - nothing is too much trouble, they do all the little things, over and above what I would expect to make you feel like a special guest. They all seemed to be "hand-picked" to suit the service culture of the hotel. The quality and cleanliness of the facilities are A1. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. A small table & chairs, couch and huge TV were a welcome feature. The conference facilities worked well. Conference catering, breakfast room and intimate Bistro/cocktail bar offered quality food & drinks. My partner is disabled in a wheelchair and all his needs were well & truly met in a standard room. Only 1 suggestion - it would be great to have magnetic door stoppers installed so the door will stay open while moving through with the wheelchair or bags. Thank you Marriott Team, we will definitely be back :)

One of the best ones within Marriott.
Despite a few teething issues which happened for any new hotels, the staff was able to resolve them quickly and professionally.
This new establishment has great potentials, room service menu is priced competitively and well made.
I believe those signature rooms can be improved better - why not utilise that space and make it even more attractive for guests? May I suggest outdoor yoga, cocktail and exclusive dining experience? My understanding is that your property has already got the picnic hamper, so perhaps a nicer option for dinner on a warm summer day would be excellent.

Required a room with two beds and room had two double beds but spacious nonetheless. Facilities were excellent and great location for exploring Melbourne.
Staff were professional and always helpful. Parking available for a fee and close to public transport for travellers without their own transport. Wonderful cafes and restaurants close to the hotel.

We had a lovely 3 day stay at the Marriott. Staff were just amazing, nothing too much trouble. Glass of bubbles on arrival was an appreciated touch
Our room was extremely comfortable with a lovely bathroom. Very quiet too.
Breakfast was delicious with lots of choices. We had dinner one night and had the best hamburger ever. Only minor complaint was room service was not quite the same standard as everything else.
Would definitely stay again as so quiet and comfortable with an easy walk to transport

Courtyard Flagstaff Garden is located in the north part of the CBD, the nearest tram stop within free tram zone is a couple of blocks away; and walkable distance to Melbournes transport hub Southern Cross Station.
It is suitable for travellers who’s seeking quiet neighbourhood yet still accessible to the city.
Stayed for 8 nights during our recent family trip to the city, the day shift staffs are extremely friendly and helpful.
Lorraine gave us the room from as early as we arrived the hotel so that we can wash away the tiredness from red eye flight. Kishor the Ops Manager is very attentive, sympathetic and passionate about serving the guests. My family were well taken care of by the team.
There is a cafe and a restaurant, each room is bright and clean. Wooden floor and simple yet hommy design.
I’d recommend bo to family and professional travellers to stay.

Spacious room had 2 very comfortable double beds, lovely bathroom and shower and great views with floor-to-ceiling window. Staff were quite friendly and helpful too. Housekeeping, however, may need improvement as beds remained crumply even after room had been made up.

Is there swimming pool at this hotel? Is the surrounding safe enough to walk alone at night? Thanks.
No pool, just a fitness centre. Quiet area but generally safe even at night.
No, they don’t serve breakfast
