The Adina Apartment Hotel Melbourne Southbank is frequently praised for its exceptional service, with many guests appreciating the friendly and professional staff, though a few have encountered service inconsistencies. Nestled in a prime location, the hotel offers easy access to Southbank's attractions and public transport, earning it high marks from travelers. While the rooms are generally lauded for their spaciousness and modern amenities, some guests feel the decor could use refreshing. Cleanliness is another strong point, but it's not without occasional lapses. The amenities, including kitchen and laundry facilities, add to the hotel's appeal, although some guests have noted maintenance issues. This is a great apartment hotel in the middle of Southbank. Either its very new or has recently been fully renovated as everything looks very new inside. The room was comfortable and had a decent sized desk to work at. There is a very small Cafe at reception but there's no shortage of places to eat nearby. Staff were very helpful, they even managed to reunite me with my mobile phone charger after I left it behind.

Our family of 9 adults and 11 children stayed 3 nights at the Adina as it was advertised as being family friendly. It did not disappoint. The apartments were very clean and well appointed. The beds were very comfortable and the configuration of the interconnecting rooms was perfect for our families. The hand and body wash, shampoo and body lotion were a good quality and I really liked that they were in large refillable bottles and not individual little bottles.

The kitchenette facilities were perfect for us. We were able to have breakfast before heading out on our adventures. Sometimes we would come back to the room, make lunch and then head out again. Woolworths was only a short walk away when we needed to stock up on groceries and the fridge in the apartment was a great size. We enjoyed a delicious coffee from the foyer each day of our stay.

Our families made full use of the swimming pool on the 7th floor. None of us used the gym, however it was very popular, so I assume it had a good range of equipment there.

The Adina was in a great location. We were easily able to walk to the Royal Botanic Gardens to the Lightscape show and to The Lume at the Melbourne Convention Centre. Public transport was easily accessible for our family trips to the Zoo, the Melbourne Museum and Imaginaria and entry to the Eureka Skydeck was a matter of a walk across the road.

We had such a pleasant stay that if we decide to have another family staycation in Melbourne, I would not hesitate to book the Adina again as it ticked so many boxes for our family.

Great experience at this hotel. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were spotless and maintained regularly. I worked over night during my stay and it required me to sleep during the day. Rooms very dark and quiet and staff were accomodating making sure I wasn’t disturbed and changed times of cleaning to accomodate me. I will be back. Thankyou

Enjoyed the accommodation and the boardroom we used for our customer meeting. The staff were very accommodating during our meetings with timely service throughout the morning. I understand we were the first to use the meeting room given how new the Hotel is and all the electronic equipment worked perfectly.

Stayed 4 nights on Level 13 in a King bay view apartment. This is our second stay and unloading and loading the car remains a problem on busy City Road. Co-ordinating the car park is not easy and no-one knows to call ahead to arrange it. Just finding the right number for the front desk on the Adina website is difficult. Parking at $35 per day is too expensive. The staff are friendly and helpful however the cleaning needs attention. A growing pile of rubbish was observed near the garbage shute which clearly, the cleaners didn't think was their responsibility to clear. It grew and grew each day. Also the dirt near the elevators remained for our 4 day stay. Cleaners musn't have seen that either. The biggest issue though is the poor construction of this new building. The floor creaks and the sound proofing is not satisfactory. We could hear the cleaner and the guests in the room above very clearly so for this reason alone, we would not stay at this hotel again. We were lucky a family with a child wasn't staying in that room, otherwise we would have asked for another room. Such a shame because its location and layout are both very good. The wifi speed was average at best & the TV channel selection is very basic.

Dear 551kayn, Thank you for your time reviewing and choosing to return to stay with us again. We are sorry to hear that we did not meet your expectation during this stay. Your comments has been forwarded to relevant department and we will take on board your comments for improvements. As for parking, there are no pre arrangements required, information is available on our website and pre arrival email advising the parking location situated across the hotel at Wilson Parking - Eureka. $35 overnight for hotel guest allows multiple entry and exit for hotel which is cheaper compared to paying direct to the parking station (except weekend). We hope to see you again in the near future. Kind regards, Nicholas Tan Duty Manager

We were a family of 4 and we stayed in Adina Apartment hotel for 6 nights during December 2023. We had 2 connecting rooms. 1 room with a king bed, small sitting area with a couch, table and 4 chairs, kitchen area with a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and a stove. The shower area was divided into a small shower area, pot and a sink area. The apartment was very compact and was well designed. The apartment also has a washer and dryer. The connecting room a much smaller room with 2 twin beds, a tiny kitchen area (with small refrigerator) a table and a chair. The bathroom had a walk in shower.

Here are things we liked:
Location of the Apartment: The Apartment is located on 99 City Road. It is just 2 blocks from the Yarra river Promenade. The promenade is lined with restaurants and a great place to spend the evenings. The bridge to get on the other side of Yarra river was easily accessible. The closest tram stop was at the intersection of Flinders Street/Queen Street, that was 5 mins walk from the Apartment. Getting on to M1 was very easy from this place. Woolworths the grocery store was a 3-5 mins walk from the back roads.
The apartment was spotless. The cleaning was done everyday, towels replaced, dishwasher loaded, laundry detergent/dishwasher soap replaced etc etc....
The front desk people were very helpful while suggesting restaurants, they were very helpful with any of the questions we had for them. They helped us with all the information we need in the Melbourne area.
The Apartment has parking about 2 mins walk from them. You can park the car there for 35AUD per night.
The taxi fare to the Adina Southbank from the airport was about 68-70 AUD.

Why am I giving it a 4 star: We parked the car only for 4 days out of the 6 days we stayed in this apartment. But we are charged for the whole 6 days. We didn't realize that our credit card was charged for 6 days, until we got back home after spending 3 more weeks in Australia. When I wrote to the apartment people, they want proof/written documentation of my conversation with the front desk person, who agreed to charge me only for 4 days instead of 6 days.

I still don't understand how to provide this proof and why they cannot see in the system that they validated my ticket only for 4 times and not for 6 times. They still went ahead and charged me for 6 days. The almost perfect experience is Adina left a bad taste in the end for sure.

We booked a night away for our anniversary. We told the hotel when booking that it was a special occasion. When we arrived we were upgraded for free which was such a lovely surprise! We even received a bottle of wine with a card wishing us a happy anniversary. It really made our stay that extra bit special!
Parking was easy over teh road at Wilson Car Park for $35 per night. They held our bags in the morning so we could go have breakfast and overall it was a lovely experience!
Our room was clean, amenities modern and curtains blocked out all light in the room (first night away from the kids so wanted a decent sleep) The king bed was comfy and pillows were great too!
Will stay again for sure!!!!!

Not the best stay. Room wasn't overly clean, small things such as soap, shampoo and conditioned were all empty and not filled up during our stay (even when left out and open for the cleaner)
Bedding not changed int he 6 nights we stayed. Shower was not the cleanest. Had 3 guests but only ever given 2 towels, when we called and asked for another towel was given a pool towel. Pool area was never checked or cleaned... there were 2 dirty glasses in the pool area on our arrival and after 7 days they were still there when we left... Staff lacked attention to detail. Tried to change us for late check out which we had already paid for, and also tried to charge us for the sofa bed to be made up even though we had already paid for this too...!

This is certainly unacceptable and I have passed on your feedback to our housekeeping executive to ensure matters like this are addressed as a priority in the future. We hope that we can welcome you back someday to exceed your current expectations. Warm regards, Sophie Duty Manager Adina Apartment Hotel Melbourne Southbank

The 1 bedroom apartment was the perfect size and layout for our family (2 adults + 1 toddler) as it has a separate bedroom with doors, so the adults could still chill out, watch tv, eat in the living area after kids are asleep. Also the bedroom does not have windows, which is perfect for keeping the room dark for a toddler to sleep. The living area has floor to ceiling windows with beautiful views of the city and tons of natural light.

Excellent location - short walk to attractions - Eureka tower, NGV, fed square, boat cruises (try Classic Steamboat Cruises, better than Melbourne River Cruise), aquarium, city.

It has all the convenience of an apartment, with all the luxury and vibe of a hotel. Cleanliness and covid-safe measures were impeccable. Staff were really friendly and provided great service. Will be back!

Wonderfully located if you want to park up and walk through Melbourne and South Bank. Terrific views from every room. The parking is only $35 O/N instead of a standard $125 without the room. The staff were extremely helpful and cheerful. The room's are large and roomy, extremely good value for the facilities and just 2 mins walk you're at the river and 5 mins in the city. Will be telling friends and family

There's also a bigger IGA a little further down Southbank Blvd - turn left onto Waterfall Lane. Good range of products. 711 closes later than IGA, so if you arrive late, just cross the road and turn right.
