At the Pan Pacific Melbourne, guests have called out the spacious rooms with breathtaking views and plush comfort, creating a serene atmosphere that many travelers enjoy. While the majority appreciate the hotel's cleanliness and luxurious amenities, including a Club Lounge with diverse offerings, a few have raised concerns over housekeeping and maintenance.
The property's location garners praise, nestled close to shopping, dining, and attractions, offering good value for money despite occasional room service issues. Overall, the service is seen as professional and the hotel atmosphere inviting.

Booked again for another two nights (26th/27th Dec) in a King Club room. Prior to our stay we received an offer to upgrade our room. For a small fee we upgraded for one night (due to availability) to a Yarra Suite with the bath looking over the bay and down the Yarra was just one of the highlights.
After a great experience in this room, the super friendly and super helpful Oliver (hope you like the chocolates) had us upgraded to a Panoramic Suite for our second night.
Whilst this room offers sweeping views of the city and the Yarra River from both the living room and bedroom, the layout isn't as nice as the Yarra Suite. (Our opinion).
With both rooms we again had access to the exclusive Pacific Club Lounge.
The food offerings for breakfast and evening canapes were much improved and enjoyable, but again the lack of consistency in refreshing dishes was frustrating. Also the number of children in the lounge for twilight drinks was disappointing and hence not a quite place to unwind. Staff should be mindful of the other guests. Also it would be nice to see some market umbrellas and some greenery out on the open terrace to make this area more inviting.
Sleep quality was great, comfortable and peaceful.
We truly enjoyed our stay here and look forward to returning again.
All staff we uncounted were friendly and helpful.

Thank you very much for posting a review following your recent stay at Pan Pacific Melbourne. We are truly passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and I was very pleased to learn of your great satisfaction with our hotel's standard of service. It is particularly motivating to receive comments like the ones you provided on our staff. Rest assured I will convey your compliments to Oliver and the team. However, I have noted your comments on your experience at Pacific Club Lounge. We sincerely regret the inconvenience and disappointment caused. Please be assured our Executive Chef and Lounge Manager are addressing your comments to prevent any such repetition in the future for our guests’ best interest and to ensure that our guests' experience is of the quality that is expected of the Pan Pacific brand. I greatly appreciate your feedback. Your views enable us to monitor our guests' needs and expectations, and help us evaluate the standard of our services and facilities. Once again, please accept our deepest regret. We do hope we will have the pleasure of welcoming you back in the not too distant future to experience the five star standard we pride ourselves on. Sincerely, Craig Bonnor General Manager Pan Pacific Melbourne

We were allocated the Pan Pacific South Wharf when we returned to Melbourne to Hotel Quarantine, and we are very thankful for that. I'm afraid you aren't given a choice but if we did I would choose here again any day.
We were 2 adults and and 8 year old and after packing up life abroad, arrived with 9 suitcases! The Manager allocated us a Family Suite (room 901) which is was located on the corner of the building so we had full views of the Yarra River and a glimpse of the Bay on the other side.
The room suite was spacious and my only criticism is that we'd love a microwave (although I suspect that's Vic Health not the hotel who don't allow these).
We had enough space to exercise, work, study as a family and although hotel quarantine is tough (no fresh air etc.,) it was so much easier in a nice, spacious room.
The hotel team were amazing and were really understanding, nothing was too much trouble (within reason of course, again the Vic Health Team make most of the decisions).
Our food (delivered 3 times daily) was amazing. Hotel quarantine food is notorious for being bad in some places, not the the case at the PP. Clearly it was all made fresh in the kitchens and although we don't have any food allergies or special requirements I'm confident they would have helped where possible. This is a credit to the Head Chef and team because I can guarantee, that accommodating to many stressed out Australians, fighting to get home, who are locked up for days on end is no easy task and your food delivery is an 'event' and not just a meal!
I've stayed in countless hotels over the years for work and leisure, and this would definitely be my choice if returning to Melbourne or making recommendations for others heading this way.
Safe travels home to any 'quazzies' returning, you'll be in safe hands at the PP with Chirag and the team.

From the UK we booked the Pan Pacific hotel for a three day stopover and were glad we did. The hotel has a good outlook over the Yarra river and we found the staff to be quite superb. The chef and staff in the Club room went the extra mile and were happy to prepare a vegetarian platter in the evening. The club bedroom was spacious with bath and shower and we had a lovely view across the city. It is an easy walk from the hotel to the free tram zone around the central area. The no. 35 tram with its commentary was better than any hop on hop off bus (perhaps my home town Edinburgh might consider this!)
There is a plentiful supply of taxis as the Convention Centre us adjacent but beware if they try to charge a silver top charge to your fare!

The hotel is very well located and comes with 4 to 5 stars. We booked a King Club Room and after an upgrade offer took a Yarra River Suite for additional cost (not cheap). The room was big and really nice with views across the Yarra and out to the bay. Unfortunately the cleanliness was awful. We arrived at 4.30pm and the room was still not ready so we had to sit in the lobby. When we got in, there was a dirty tissue crumpled in the bath tub and food scraps on the floors. We were there 4 nights and had to ring the Concierge on 2 occasions because our room had not been serviced during the day while we were out. We are clean people and expect a clean hotel but when rubbish bins are not emptied and towels not refreshed it leaves a bad impression. As said, nice room, nice location but we will not return. And they don't have a swimming pool! 5 Star?????

We stayed at the Pan Pacific Hotel in January 2020 in a 2 bedroom suite.
The suite itself was spacious but showed a lot of wear and tear.
Here just a few points which were disappointing.
The sink in both bathrooms had the size of a sink you would expect in a powderroom. (see attached picture)
We would have expected a double sink, but a single miniture sink in a two bedroom suite???
Lighting in the suite but especially in the bathroom was really bad.
AC could only be set to a minimum of 22 degrees Celsius, which resulted in a temperature of 24 degrees Celsius when the sun hit the windows. That's unacceptable for a five star Hotel.
Staff was nice and helpful but that did not make up for the quality of the suite.

This was a wedding anniversary gift. The lady at reception was very lovely and paid attention to details, she checked us in earlier and provided discounted parking ticket, since we were parked at DFO parking in the morning. The valet parking was very fast as well. WE told her this was our anniversary and when we waked in the room there was a card, bottle of babbly wine and a box of chocolate. This was a nice touch. The room was nice and very clean and comfortable with very well thought out design including bathroom. Excellent view from the window. Automatic blind of the window blocked all the light from outside and it was very quiet and comfortable to sleep. Restaurant down stairs was very nice and the breakfast was outstanding for choices and quality. Thank you every one at the Pan Pacific for the nice stay. Igor

The hotel contacted us before our arrival to offer us a half price upgrade to a City View room. We are so glad we took up the offer as the view of the city and the river was amazing, particularly as we stayed there for New Year's Eve and watched the fireworks from our room.
Not as good as the Pan Pacific in Singapore, but still a good hotel and we were pleased with our choice. The location in South Wharf is excellent, around the corner from a discount mall and within an easy 5 min walk of many trendy bars and restaurants. Melbourne City centre is also within walking distance.
The check in lady (Laura?) was very friendly and helpful and we received our luggage very quickly. The card reader in the lifts are a little bit hit and miss and a couple of times we found that it would not take our card and had a bit of a up and down tour of the building before we could get it to eventually stop on our floor.
Another small issue was that the rooms were not cleaned until late in the afternoon. On our first day we returned to the room at 4.45pm for a shower and relax before going out again to find the room not cleaned. We called to ask if it could be made up but no-one came until 5.35pm. Even then, the bin was not emptied.
Breakfast was good but nothing special but our New Year's Eve meal in the same restaurant was excellent and the provision of hats and novelty items gave it a party feel which we enjoyed.
If we return to Melbourne again we would definitely stay at the Pan Pacific.

The Pan Pacific Hotel in Melbourne is located right next to the Convention Centre. You can park outside briefly whilst you check in. The front of house staff take care of your cases and deliver them to your room. We had a room on the 5th floor with a view over the Convention Centre towards the Yarra River and the central high rise buildings. The room had floor to ceiling glass windows so felt very airy. There was a very comfortable king size bed with lovely pillows and a large LCD TV on a unit at the foot of the bed. A sliding door went through to the bath, shower , toilet and basin in the bathroom. There was a decent size wardrobe with an iron and ironing board available. There was also a good sized desk and very comfortable chair present. Breakfast could be as substantial as you want it with a wide range of food catering for many tastes. The staff all seemed friendly enough particularly on the reception and concierge desks.

From the moment we stepped out of our cab the staff were ready to help us with our luggage. Reception was warm and welcoming and made sure that we were comfortable with our room.
The second we opened the room to our Yarra River Suite I knew this was going to be a fantastic stay. The suite was so tastefully decorated with plenty of space, and the view of the river and city beyond was absolutely spectacular. In addition to a huge walk in wardrobe, the bath room was enormous and had a tub right next to the window with a view from another side of the hotel.
I have to mention the executive lounge as well which was the best one I’ve been to. A coffee machine with takeaway cups is always available, as well as bottled drinks and hot tea. In the evenings, there is a small buffet of canapés and drinks. There is also breakfast served at the lounge but we opted for the bigger spread downstairs. However, the lines to get a table can spill out of the restaurant so to avoid the crowd on weekends, I’d recommend eating breakfast at the executive lounge.
Overall, service was attentive and warm, food was incredible, location was convenient and of course the room was spectacular. An absolutely worthy stay and will definitely come back for another special occasion.

We stayed for only the 1 night at the end of December. We booked the Yarra Suite with the Club Lounge access, which offers late check out. Upon arrival we were pleasantly surpised as the room we were shown to was on the top floor over looking the river. I'd recommend booking the Club lounge as it provides you with water and soft drinks through out the day and then in the evening they serve a selection of canapes and cheeses and also alcoholic beverages (Champange, Beer & Wine) which are all included and bottomless! Overall we had a great stay and would stay again. By booking directly through Pan Pacific's website and signing up (Which is Free) you then benefit from the 10% off.
