I stayed here for my first visit and Melbourne and didn"t know what to expect. The hotel is right across the District mall and the free tram ride within docklands. My view from the 2 rooms I stayed were amazing. Check in was fast, please note that there is a $1aud deposit on your card upon checkin. The bar/resto is also in the ground floor if you want to have drinks. The receptionists were all accomodating and since Im out in the weekend, I left my luggages in the concierge at no cost. The rooms were spavious given that I have 2 luggages plus 1 that I bought in the mall right across. The room has really nice views of the docklands and the ferris wheel. In room dining was also great. Cleaning of the room takes time and I will have to call housekeeping several times to have my room cleaned before leaving for work in the morning and returning in the afternoon. By 3pm my room wasnt cleaned yet and there was a time where I had to wait in the reception to get it cleaned. Cleaning was impecaable with minor dust in the headboards that you can easily clean with wipes. One request though is they could put in a luggage rack in their rooms cos its hard to place it in the closet then take it out everytime you need something. Bathrobes is also a must. There is a parking area across the street where you can pay at the hotel but seems that they are unable to track this and you will have to show proof of payment everytime. Not sure how their system works but keeps on asking for it everyday. What I love about this place is its proximity to the District mall- when you want to go for shopping or food choice (mall closes at 5pm I believe) but the food court until 8pm. You can also take a walk in the Docklands at the back of the hotel and just enjoy the view and quiet time. There are few restaurants surviving in the area but Im still glad its peaceful out there without the crowds. I enjoyed my afternoon walking. Marvel Stadium is also within walking reach. CBD is an uber away and less than 10 mins. The other Marriott Hotel is in the same area but Four points have all the advantage of proximity and great views for less price. Will definitely stay in this hotel again! Good job to everyone!

We stayed here for 3 nights. We had a good sized room, a large comfortable bed, tea and coffee making facilities, air conditioning and a view over the city to the north. Staff were friendly. We paid extra for breakfast which was very good, with a large range of hot and cold items. The hotel is well located in Docklands with plenty of restaurants around, a shopping centre opposite and a tram stop outside.

Still my favorite hotel in docklands! I love that it sits on a quiet street infront of The Disrrict and the tram and you dont get a lot of crowds even on weekends. The room I had was an upgrade from a one bedroom to a studio unit which I really appreciate and gave me added space for my things, plus I get to enjoy meals on a separate table in the living area while watching a TV. The bedroom is comfortable and gives me the goodnight sleep. The staff were accokodating and friendly and has been providing me the best customer service ever. One comment I had is the drawers in the living area were not thoroughly cleaned, there were wine bottles in the drawer when I came in and even after 3 days, the housekeeping didnt open the drawers to check when they clean the room. Cleanliness is still an opportunity as was in my previous stay. The menu can also improve by including pasta or noodle choices. Overall I will likely stay here again. Good job for making me feel at home!!

We stayed here for two nights in May 2022. The hotel is not in a bad location but you still have to get a (free)tram to the city which takes less than 10 minutes.

The arrival at the reception is not really a warm and inviting experience. It feels a little like we may be inconveniencing the staff. I am not sure if it is because they are all new and in training and unsure how to greet guests.

It is the little things that make an enjoyable stay. Like not having to ask for the "Welcome drinks" vouchers that were part of our stay and finding no hand towels in the room. Also it was a bit annoying arriving back at the room at 4pm to find it was not made up and having to call reception enquiring if they do make up rooms or if it was an unserviced stay. After they advised the room would be made up after 5pm and when we arrived back after dinner to find no milk or water bottles replenished and dirty tea cups not removed, it feels really unprofessional and lazy.

We paid for breakfast which was an additional $100 for 2 people for two nights. It's not worth it. The breakfast is basic, bacon egg, sausage, minimal fruit and pastries. At 9am there was no scrambled egg left in the dish and I asked if we could order eggs to order. I was questioned if I was a member?? I said no I am not a member of the hotel to which the server replied "no I could not have eggs to order. I had access to scrambled eggs only". It was weird and unprofessional. I did see another guest speaking to the chef and asking for a poached egg so I did the same and received it promptly.

I know these things sound petty but we paid $485 for two nights with breakfast. For $499 we could have stayed at the Novotel and the Hilton in the city with a fabulous breakfast.

At no time, even at checkout were we asked "How was our stay?"

So would I stay here again or recommend - NO

I think the staff that have been brought in are in experienced in service and hospitality. This place needs leadership - there really needs something to happen here to make it an inviting hotel.

Good location just off the CBD. Dinner and breakfast were ok although the room is somewhat soulless. All the staff were friendly and trying hard. Our room was clean and a good size but the decoration is defiantly style over substance. The bathroom has gray walls and ceiling, with small down lighters, it’s so gloomy even having a shave let alone my wife doing her makeup was difficult. The basin is small and there is only a narrow ledge down one side for shower bags. It needs a proper shelf on the wall. The only place to put your case is the bottom of the wardrobe so you have to be down on on your knees to get anything out. There is nowhere else to put other luggage than the floor. The plug for a hairdryer isn’t near enough to the mirror (unforgivable in a new hotel). There is a large drawer which fell out on me as it dosn’t spear to have any runners. Whoever designed these rooms never stayed in one. We won’t be back given the choice in the area.

Friendly reception staff who makes you feel so welcome as soon as you walk in. We stayed here for two days before our cruise to explore the Docklands area. To our surprise, it was such a great location - just opposite the Docklands shopping centre and the tram station. The tram here is free and it takes you to the shopping areas such as Myers and David Jones in no time. We wished we had booked the same hotel when we returned from our cruise. Sheraton is now owned by the Marriot group that seems to know how to make their guests feel so at home in the hotel - sufficient clothes hangers in the room, fruit infused water at the reception. Nothing seems too difficult for them - just let them know what you would like to see done.
Love their idea of gifting during Christmas...you throw a dice and you get a small gift based on the number. Nice touch👍👍 they didn't even mind if you keep throwing the dice until you get what you like. Special thanks to Athene for her patience and another gentleman who ensures that housekeeping was done before we got back. Hope to return in another future trip.

We were happy with the Sheraton Docklands. Our room was large and comfortable and had a great view. I wish that the weather had been better so that we could have used the lovely pool. We enjoyed taking the free tram into the CBD and the area around the hotel is reasonably quiet. Breakfast in the restaurant was good. I noticed that the Manager was helping the staff during busy times and that is always great to see. My only mild annoyance was that our room had no luggage rack and the very dark decor made if difficult to see into the closet. All in all though, it was a pleasant and comfortable experience.

This place is in a redeveloped dockland neighborhood, pedestrian friendly, large shopping mall across the street, surrounded by apartments and green spaces. It's a peaceful place for a big city. Yet the tram stops right outside the door and you can be in the CBD in five minutes. You are one block away from a pedestrian promenade along the harbor and if you are lucky your room will have a view of the harbor, as ours did. Staff are friendly and efficient, the rooms are modern and comfortable. The bathroom had a monsoon shower head, unfortunately the low water pressure made it more of a gentle shower. There also is a master switch that controls most lighting in the room, if you switch it off you won't be able to turn on the bathroom lights, for example. There is a large outdoor swimming pool. Our room had a small refrigerator. We enjoyed our stay.

I stayed here for two nights and found this to be a great alternative to the city itself. A tram stop is outside with three routes available and you are still in the free CBD tram zone. The room was spotless and comfortable although a topper to conceal the join of two beds into one would be appreciated.

Booking for one night on a Saturday. Hotel was fairly busy. Quick friendly check in with Vi. Room was a little smaller than I expected but as we were only there for one night, not an issue. Being a Marriott Bonvoy member, also received a couple of extras which were appreciated. Room was very clean and was comfortable. King sized bed very comfortable too and has a choice of a firm or soft pillow.
Had a few drinks at the bar which had a good atmosphere.

On the outskirts of the CBD but tram stop out the front of the hotel which is free into the CBD. (10-15 mins) Overnight indoor parking is $15, approx 200 metre walk to car park which is part of the shopping centre complex opposite. Lots of restaurants closeby along the riverside walk.

Had a banquet breakfast in the morning which had many options and very satisfying.

First time guest here and will definitely use again.

Car parking
Answer from normchia
Glen Waverley, Australia989 contributions79 helpful votes
The hotel doesn't explicitly advertise car parking, and doesn't have a valet car parking service either. Park at either District Docklands East or West car parks, keep your ticket and the hotel can give you an exit ticket for $24, from memory. Might work out to be slightly cheaper than just the overnight rate, depending on how many nights you stay.

Dear Mulholland, as GM of the Four Points I'd acknowledge Happiness01001593937 and the points re access to GP area is convenient (20 minutes by car, 45 by the #86 tram right out from of the hotel). The Docklands precinct has undergone a wonderful upgrade and I am confident the options for shopping, amenities and facilities will meet your expectations. Please visit District Docklands website for more information or email the Hotel to find out more. Safe travels and let's hope Daniel Riccardo gets his wish for Christmas!

Dear blueroti, the Hotel concierge can arrange a variety of car rental options to suit your budget and as Tullagirl noted public transport is literally across the road and for airport the Skybus drops off and picks-up within 50m of the Hotel entrance.
Answer from Stephen Ferrigno
Melbourne, Australia
Dear Lionel H, thank you for the question the car park height is restricted to 2.05m and I note online that the Hiace has a measurement of 1.95m. You will need to confirm your specific vehicle does not exceed the 2.05M height to be safe and in case it has an aerial, roof rails/racks that may see it exceed this height restriction. If easier, please feel free to reach out to me directly at the hotel on +61 3 8578 0011.
