Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.

The QT offers a beautiful view from the roof top bar, however if you are also looking for a bite to eat and not a sit down dinner as the menu leaves a lot to be desired at both bars. The food offered is mostly fried eg calamari rings, chicken bites, fries etc. These were ok but

Hotel's Favourite
We were so impressed by the QT that we didn’t stop talking about it the whole time we were away. From the moment we arrived in the taxi, the lovely Shannessy escorted us inside to check in and then carried our bags to our room. She wrote down all her favourite bars and she made

An unusual hotel right in the centre of Melbourne. Great room with everything you need. Good TV and Wi-Fi ( although this did not work one afternoon!!!). Bare concrete exposed walls and ceilings and black sliding doors around bathroom so you can open it the bedroom area. Lack of

Hi Sarah, The main difference would be that our QT Loft King Rooms are located on the highest level in the hotel, which is level 11 facing Russell Street and is also 2 sqm bigger than our QT Deluxe King Rooms. Our QT Deluxe King Rooms are located between level 6 and 8 in the hotel facing Donaldson Ln or Portland Ln. I hope that helps and if you have any further queries please feel free to give us a call (03) 8636-8800 Kind Regards, Douglas P QT Crew

If you can get a deluxe King, that will give you plenty of space for a long stay. All room layouts are similar. Also, if you join the Priority Guest Club (can do this at time of booking) a 10% discount is immediately applied at time of booking, but you need to book directly on QT site to get discount. Hope this helps.
