Booked a 3 nights stay. Fabulous 2BDR apartment. Spacious and spotless clean. Massive kitchen with modern amenities. Nice bathroom work shower. Location of the property is what makes it the best choice for accommodation in Melbourne CBD. Less than 4mins walk to the city circle tram which is free within the free tram zone. Easy 5mins tram ride to any key attraction in Melbourne CBD. You can walk on the Lonsdale street side of the hotel and catch tram 86/96 and reach Bourke street malls within 10 mins on a free tram ride. Docklands (Marcel stadium) is just walking distance from the hotel. Southern cross station is just 5 min walk where you can catch regional trains or airport shuttle bus. The apartment itself has fabulous views. We got a 41st floor apartment. Nice balcony. Good blinds in the room and ac. I used the pool and gym on the 8th floor, very nice facilities. Easy access to restaurants. Most importantly the apartment is competitively priced. Nice easy check in and they offer onsite car parking which was very good for us. Certainly recommend this place.

This City Tempo is in a good location, you can reach buses or trams in minutes. Check in was very efficient and the girls were all very friendly. The apartment was immediately clean, and had everything we needed for our stay.
The only slight downside was noise from the adjacent building site, but I assume that will only be temporary. Earplugs were provided.

A well maintained apartment. We had the two bedroom apartment to ourselves with a bathroom each. It had every thing, pots, pans dishes tv (Netflix) and it even had a washer dryer and dishwasher. We stayed in 4 different cities but my wife liked this apartment the best. We were located on the 27th floor with 2 a great view.

It has Southerncross Station at your doorstep and may amazing restaurants near by. There is a coles supermarket just 2 minutes away where we stocked up on supplies. We also had the Stadium just a few minutes walk from the building which was perfect as we were going to a concert. Overall this was a real favorable experience.

Greg and Jess were amazing hosts and we will definitely be staying in there places again.

We are returning to Sydney from an international cruise and have been asked by the Australian government to self quarantine for 14 days. I am from Los Angeles, where the coronavirus is now a pandemic. We are just trying to do our part to protect the citizens of Australia by not traveling around. I spoke to a reservations manager, who told us the best they could do was to give us a travel credit good until December. We expressed that it was not possible that we will be able to return, but as our only option, we took the travel credit. All other companies we have dealt with have been extremely accommodating with these recent changes and unprecedented times. It feels like City Tempo is penalizing us and taking our money for doing the right thing.

This is our 2nd time here. Our 1st stay we were in the other block. My husband is working in Melbourne so has long term booking here. Kids and I come down during holidays. Apartments are clean, comfortable and well presented. Location is great, walking distance to city centre, tram stops, shops, restaurants. Less then 5 min walk from Southern Cross Station, where Sky Bus stop is, very convenient if taking Sky Bus to and from the airport. Staff at reception is very friendly and helpful.

For those coming in from the airport on the Skybus, City Tempo is only a 5 minute walk to the accommodation. It is also very close to the free trams, either the City Circle or other tram destinations and within a couple of minutes to Coles Supermarket. Had a superb 3 bedroom apartment, that had all we required, and was clean etc. The only down side was, that 1 of the 3 lifts was out, which meant you could wait a while, as they serviced 45 floors. Reception personnel were very helpful and were quick to resolve a small leak in the bathroom.

This apartment has a number of nice aspects, is roomy and generally well equipped but there a number of significant shortcomings that you should be aware of before booking. First the good stuff: nice kitchen and bathroom, the bed is comfortable and the unit is quiet. The shortcoming list has to begin with the elevators. There are 3 elevators for a 45 storey building with approx. 14 units per floor. While we were there, only two elevators were working and during some periods, only one was operational. One elevator had been out of service (and may still be) for well over a month with parts coming from Germany. The line ups for the elevator extended at times through the lobby and out of the building. When you got into an elevator, they were absolutely crowded - not what you want when trying to avoid potential exposure to Covid19. The furniture and carpets were in real need of cleaning - there were stains and were generally grimy. The unit has a washer and dryer. Weirdly, the shortest cycle for the washer appears to be about two hours with the normal wash cycle being close to 3 hours. The management office must have heard comments about this, as the instructions from City Tempo confirms this timeline. The units also don't have in-room safes for valuables. Our unit faced directly into the next (close) building. The area of the city wasn't our favourite but it didn't feel unsafe and it was close to Southern Cross station. Despite the shortcomings, it was an okay stay. The separate living room area and the fact the building is newer helped to make up for the other shortcomings.

We are driving to Melbourne to move our daughter for Uni. Booked accommodation for the week. Spoke to them on Friday to confirm after hours check in and parking. She also told me that they had another booking for a Nicola Roberts. We joked about the irony. Sat received an email saying they had moved us to another location. Rang them and they confirmed that was sent in error and our booking was still confirmed at the original location. Tonight at 8:18pm I received an email saying booking has been cancelled due to invalid credit card. Rang them at 8:21pm as credit card is valid and has quite enough money on it. Reception lady said sorry, invalid credit card and said the third party booking company cancelled it, and then gave the name of the wrong company we booked through. So my husband said can we rebook as you have just released it and she said no availability!!!! And then hung up on us! Tried to ring back and she had switched phones to voicemail. We were 3 hours out of Melbourne! We then booked someone else using the same credit card and it processed!!! So so cranky!!!

Dear E2657WDnicoler, Thank you for your time with posting a review following your experiences with City Tempo. After reading through the details listed, I would first and foremost like to extend my sincere apologies for the inconveniences you experienced with the reservation process and our team. As a result of this feedback, we have concluded an extensive investigation process to determine our shortfalls, which subsequently provides us with valuable information on areas to improve. We certainly recognise and accept that incorrect relocation correspondence was forwarded to you in error, as well as your comments regarding our team not delivering the high level of customer service that we pride ourselves on. Rest assured that this feedback will be used constructively in order to implement measures which will develop our current processes, and ensure that repeat occurrences are avoided. In relation to your comments regarding the invalid credit card, please be advised that as a result of your reservation being booked through a third party, there are certain procedures that we must follow dependant on the booking provider. Our investigation identified that the invalid credit card was reported to the third party a day prior to your arrival and as a result of the booking not being updated, the reservation was then cancelled the following day. Having said that, I do understand the inconvenience this presented you and once again sincerely apologise as the communication from us certainly could have been handled better. In conclusion, thank you for your time to discuss your review in detail and as mentioned, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly should you have any future accommodation requirements in Melbourne. Fotios Gillias Front Office Manager

Stayed here for a weekend. Pleasantly surprised to note the larger living spaces compared to other accomodations used while in Melbourne for similar pricing. The gym equipments were in good condition. The best part was the proximity to the skybus with easy access of transport to the airport.

Was very impressed with the one bedroom apartment. Great location. Just minutes walk to Southern Cross and Tram lines etc.
It was very clean, well furnished and comfortable. The place was stocked with everything you could need. Including washer and dryer.
WIFI worked great.
My only few suggestions would be for the owner to upgrade to a smart TV, so that could get apps like Netflix, to be able to watch on the bigger screen. Also to add some furniture on the balcony. My apartment had a nice, big balcony. but nothing on it. Bit of a shame.

Its about 5kms from the apartment. Public transport around the city is easy. I'm sure there will be trams that goes to closeby the cruise terminal.
