This is a very new hotel (opened within the last 12 months and is a new build) and it was an excellent stay.
At check in I was greeted by an incredibly friendly person at reception and was promptly given a room key for a room on the 10th floor (of eleven) which had an excellent view! The bed in the room was incredibly comfortable with pillows that more than met my incredibly picky tastes in pillows. The bathroom was well laid out and had liquid hand soap for washing your hands which I always appreciate seeing.
The TV in the room had Foxtel channels plus also had inbuilt Chromecast support for casting your streaming apps to it which is also something I've grown to love in hotels and wish more did this!
The hotel was in a good location for the city although I'm not sure what the hotel's official parking arrangements are - because I was staying on the weekend, I ended up parking at the KPark outdoor parking area on the corner of Angas and Pulteney Streets (about three minutes walk away) which charged $4 for 12 hours of parking. There are also bus stops right outside the hotel and you can easily walk further up Pulteney Street to get to bus stops to other parts of town.
I was very impressed with all aspects of my stay here and would happily stay here in again in the future without question, but I do have one suggestion - another bin in the room would be nice, as the only bin I could find was a small one in the bathroom and I filled it in about thirty seconds after I put my takeout rubbish in it.

Very clean, well provisioned, spacious room, really nice shower. Elevators very efficient. A bonus is that there is a free guest laundry but be forewarned that it can be very busy. Early morning worked for us but perhaps midday might be better. It is in CBD but there are more central and likely more expensive places.

New hotel with excellent room amenities. Overall I would definitely recommend as the service is excellent, the location great and the price fantastic.
Pros: Service was excellent. All employees serve with grace and with a smile. From the front desk, to the restaurant service, to the chef. All made us feel welcome and went the extra mile to do so.
The breakfast that was included was awesome. Delicious and great choices.
We didn’t use our free drink vouchers each day. On the final day the team leader offered us a bottle of wine that we could take up to the room. I consider this to be the epitome of hospitality excellence. Most other hotels would say “no, we have our rules you just drink by the glass, in our restaurant”. This flexibility by staff enabled us to drink wine in our room whilst we watched the World Cup final.
The room is Brand new and really nice with a huge tv with great channels and the ability to stream.
Cons:
Toiletries were not replaced throughout my stay. The handwash ran out on the first day and was not refilled. The iron and board was not put away during the service each day. The pump on shampoo etc was a bit hard to use as it had to face the right direction to use which made it difficult.
Door in the bathroom was weird. Had to open it up turning the handle up instead of down.
Note to management: please step up your room cleaning services to ensure your visitors get the ever experience.
I do not believe in giving poor reviews for such small issues, hence the 5 star rating.

We came across a deal at Tryp and decided to book a special weekend away.
The good: The rooms look as pictured. We upgraded to a deluxe room, which was spacious with a comfy king bed a clean, newly built facilities. Initially we had a problem with our first room so staff re checked us in to another room. Our package included breakfast, which was pretty good (despite the eggs always being done hard through) and the coffee decent.
The bad: Part of our package was a “cocktail on arrival” which they told us we could redeem at any time. Over our 3 night stay, we were unable to claim our drinks due to the bar only operating between the hours of 4:30-8:30pm. There was no alternative offer and we missed out despite it being part of our package and supposedly “on arrival”. The first room we checked in to had a strong smell of sewerage and when asking to change rooms, they initially sent a cleaner up to spray deodorizer around but even the cleaner exclaimed at the smell. Eventually they moved us to another room but we continued to smell intermittent whiffs of sewerage in the hallways. At breakfast each morning the service was subpar with long wait times, even just for coffee (once we waited 30mins for coffee). Lastly, little things like no face towels, no extra towels, no helpful extra toiletries and no replacement single serve milks after the first was used. Furthermore, it’s in walking distance (15-20 mins) to the main areas but definitely not the most central location.
This all sounds kind of petty and maybe so, however my partner and I don’t get many days off together, let alone to go away. These little things took away from our experience and I wish we booked elsewhere.

Checked in on a Wednesday. Thursday, on our return from a day out, I was surprised to find that housekeeping hadnt been to clean our shower or room. Enquiry with reception was that housekeeping is only done every 3rd day. So everyday you must ask for fresh towels, ask for the bin to be emptied, etc. On day 3 of our stay on our return from the day out, no housekeeping attended to our room. When I enquired about the lack of housekeeping and the linen not been changed, I get told that linen is changed on a Tuesday & Thursday. When I ask why wasn't the room and shower cleaned, the lady at the reception wasn't sure. Needless to say, that when I voiced my dissatisfaction in no uncertain terms, then only were steps taken to change the linen, clean the bathroom, provide fresh towels and empty the bin. The lack of service delivery to guests was astounding. I was appalled and flabbergasted to experience that paying international guests can be treated as though they are being accommodated for free and as an act of charity.

Positives: 1. Lovely Location 2. Great Street Access 3. Great Size Rooms 4. Friendly Reception Staff (if you could actually find them and not have to wait 10 mins each time you go to reception)
Hotel Negatives: 1. Have to wait at least 10 mins each time you go to reception to speak to the Friendly Reception Staff and even though they give you a Mobile Number to call, it is never answered. 2. Also, when you call reception from your room, it goes to the same number as point 1 and it is never answered. 3. Each Time you turn on the TV, it goes to a Wyndham Channel, which was OK, except the Volume was set at a much higher level, than any other channel, so you have to turn down the volume very quickly. 4. Reception Staff Unprofessionally dressed and actually look like guests with no name tags and wearing sports tops
Attached Cafe Mamacita Negatives: 1. Time from Sitting down at Cafe, to ordering food, to actually getting food, is woeful, even of a very quiet day. (and we thought it was just us, but we were told by another guest at a table next to us, that is a regular occurrence) 2. They never get your order correct (and we thought it was just us, but we were told by another guest at a table next to us, that is a regular occurrence) 3. When the order is corrected from Point 2, if it was a hot meal, when the meal is returned, none of the other hot items on the plate were kept warm and was returned cold to the table. 4. One of our group, had a food allergy and requested not to have this item, and when their beverage arrived and was checked, it was incorrect and luckily that person didn't get sick and there wasn't a lot of care, that the order was wrong. (in saying that, the person that took the order was being trained, but there was no supervision from their manager)
I hope this helps anyone considering staying here.

From the time we walked in to the hotel we noticed the very friendly staff. Every staff member we met in the 5 days we were there was professional and friendly. The cafe and bar were terrific with excellent food. I had the best Bircher muesli I have ever eaten for breakfast. Meals were beautifully presented. My room was excellent. The TV is huge and had Fox Footy so I was pleased. The pillows were not great. The bathroom was large. In these days of health and safety I think all showers should have grab rails and the hotel should consider installing them. I would also love a magnifying mirror in the bathroom to assist in applying make up but I realise that's just a luxury item. I'm already looking forward to my next stay!

Lovely room recently refurbished. Extremely comfortable bed and pillows. Very neatly laid out. New ironing board and iron.
Good view overlooking rooftops as we were on the 5th floor, very good place to be to watch a sunrise.
We would have preferred a small microwave to warm our coffee when it turns cold (as we are used to doing at home) or milk for cereal.
Every other facility was available to make it a extremely comfortable place to stay in for four nights.

The Tryp is a great new addition to Adelaide's accommodation scene. I stayed at the weekend and found the outdoor carpark a few doors down to be a good value option. Check in was friendly, but I did find it strange to arrive at an empty desk around 6pm and being served by someone from the adjoining lobby restaurant.
The room was beautifully furnished , the bed and chairs were extremely comfortable and featured an enormous TV.
I liked that the hotel had really thought about its guests, featuring a gym, games room and library. The large photos in the corridors gave the hotel a modern Adelaide feel.
The breakfast was very good and I liked the cafe/restaurant's modern decor- particularly the wall art. Upstairs had a lounge and mezzanine bar which would be a lovely spot for a few drinks.
The staff were all friendly, I loved the decor, I would happily stay again.

Tryp has bag drop-off if you arrive earlier than check-in. The elevators were quick and quiet enough that I couldn't hear them from my room. The rooms were clean, comfortable beds, and a good size for a single person. Good water pressure, with nice amenities. All hotel information was via a QR code which includes room service and mini bar. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. I did not eat at the hotel. The only negative was the air conditioning was loud and woke me up multiple times. It made a strange ticking noise. The location was quiet and with no party or traffic noise. Locally there are great restaurants and takeaway options. It is only a short walk from transport and the main shopping area.
