Bedarra Island is an amazing place and the staff, accomodation, food and activities offered are all just as incredible. Let me start with the outstanding staff -
Geoffrey, the Manager, professional, calm, welcoming and runs the Island to a very high standard
Lance, senior waiter, really knows his stuff. Each time he selected the wines for you to go with lunch and dinner and every time his choice was just superb. Polite, engaging and a privilege to be served by him.
Nick, barman, waiter and I believe has input into wines and other produce served on the Island. His nightly cocktails were impressive and some nights reminiscent of days gone by like the ‘Brandy Alexander’. He was just a joy and so wonderful at his job.
Mel, Leah, Jess and Andy - all very personable, happy and willing to go that extra mile. All fantastic. Mel sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to me with great enthusiasm, thank you.
Cleaning staff - went in and out of your rooms like ninjas, you never saw them but they did a great job attending to your room twice daily. Restocking the bar with your preferred drinks and snacks.
Then the helicopter pilots, Roger and Grant, who brought us to and from the island. They were relaxed, put you at ease and ensured you saw some great sights during the journey.
Our Ocean Villa was exceptional and view spectacular. My husband and I cannot be more appreciative of the wonderful time we had and we will definitely be back.
Many thanks
Karen and Tony

We recently celebrated our wedding anniversary there and it far exceeded our expectations. We spend a night in the beach room as well as the pavilion which had breath taking views and felt super secluded. Both have wonderful plunge pools but the pavilion was my favourite. The food is outrageous and you seriously never go hungry, if anything you go to bed stuffed because you had way too many cocktails and over eaten on all the amazing food. The staff are so welcoming and accommodating for any needs. You feel truly relaxed and completely pampered upon in complete luxury whilst it still being so down to earth. Would highly recommend this place for anyone that wants a unique experience. We only stayed 2 nights and within an hour of arriving we wished we could book a 3rd night.

This place is ridiculous.

Regarding dietary restrictions, my wife only eats kosher meat, which means when we eat out she usually just gets fish, which is about what we were expecting here. These champions actually sourced kosher meat of multiple varieties (beef, turkey, chicken) and throughout the four days we were there, made her feel like she really got to appreciate the full extent of how awesome the food is. For that alone, this place is A+.

As someone who runs really, really hot (we sleep with the air conditioner blasting sub-arctic temperatures even in the dead of winter), I was legitimately concerned about the lack of air conditioning in the vast majority of the villas (the Glass House has A/C). Ended up being a total non-issue; the entire resort has Haiku fans, which are silent and really effective. That plus the ocean breeze and you'll be fine, promise.

Obviously, everything everyone else said is true about this place. It's absolutely beautiful, everyone's friendly, and they're great about setting you up with stuff to do, whether it's taking a motorboat out for a day to just explore nearby islands or booking a reef scuba diving trip (highly recommended).

I wish we were there for another day or two. Just go.

Words simply cannot express how magical this location is. Bedarra is everything you dream of and more. It captures the magic of nature with the luxury that even the most spoilt have come to expect in a getaway of this calibre. This is the perfect destination to disconnect from the busyness of life, get back to nature and slow the frenetic pace that we have come to consider the norm.
Barefoot luxury is exactly what Bedarra encapsulates. The staff are phenomenal and attentive to your every possible request. The accommodation is exquisite and could not be better. The little touches around the island are so appreciated - from chairs perched amid the beautiful walking trails to sit and take in the views, hammocks in secluded spaces, stealth-like housekeeping and the little touches like your favourite drinks topped up in your personal fridge.
Not the mention the food that any fine dining, Michelin starred restaurant would be proud to serve. Variety in the menu ensures you never get bored, flexibility to cater to even the most fussiest or strictest dietary requirements without making you feel like a burden, and the freshest, locally sourced where possible and highest quality ingredients. Topped off by an extensive wine and spirit selection from around the world makes this a foodie’s utopia!

Special mention goes to the staff who absolutely without a doubt, make this experience. Anyone can build a beautiful resort in a location like this, already crafted by Mother Nature, but few people can create an experience quite like the staff of Bedarra. From the extraordinary kitchen staff who are considerate, flexible and incredibly gifted at creating top notch food to the front of house staff who are kind, considerate and honestly, just don’t miss a beat. The housekeeping staff are like ninjas - never seen but do amazing work. And of course, this all cannot happen without calm, caring and thoughtful leadership of Geoffrey and Jess.
Some of the best staff we have come across in all our travels (especially Jess who I must say, is out of this world and so knowledgeable). They are dedicated to making every detail count.
Nothing is too much trouble on Bedarra. Everyone is treated with amazing care. And the location, facilities and accommodation itself is exquisite.

Nothing to fault! Everything to be grateful for. Thank you Bedarra for such a breathtaking, relaxing escape. And all within our backyard, how lucky are we as Australians!

From the moment you meet the first staff member of Bedarra to the reluctant goodbye, you are treated like royalty. My wife and I went on Honeymoon to this incredible destination, and we were absolutely blown away by the service and quality of every aspect of our experience.

Food: 10/10
Service: 10/10
Staff: 10/10
Villas: 10/10

There is not a single fault we could find with this beautiful, luxurious and well maintained resort. Every staff member had a smile on their faces and there was nothing too difficult. We felt very special throughout the 5 day experience and we did not want to leave.
Every meal was immaculate and served with a sense of love and care. Imagine eating at a Michelin starred restaurant, in a much better location and ambience, every morning, afternoon and night.

Highly recommend this brilliant resort.

My husband surprised me with a bucket list trip to Bedarra Island Resort for my 40th birthday, arriving I was worried that I may have talked it up and it wouldn't live up to my dream... well that could not have been further from the truth!

The check in on the main land was relaxed and comfortable with a Champagne in hand.

The helicopter ride over to the island was smooth cruising visually beautiful Roger was our captain. I am little nervous flying but Roger made me feel very comfortable.

On arrival we were greeted by the GREAT Geoff who was hilarious, professional and very accommodating. He escorted us to our Villa which we believe is the best on the Island "The Point". It is of large size, own pool and extremely private.

Each day we would dine at the main restaurant for breakfast lunch and dinner. The food was exceptional, the service was exceptional. You wanted or needed for nothing! Nothing was to hard for the F&B team and there was never a no!

The location of Bedarra Island is perfection! You feel as if you are worlds away yet it is a 10 minute helicopter ride.

The amenities are great, the small boats you can take out whenever you like a so much fun and offer so much adventure.

Bedarra is a must do life experience.

A perfect escape for my wife and I without the children. You simply cannot help but indulge and relax at Bedarra Island Resort. The whole experience is exceptional from the minute you board the Helicopter to the time you unfortunately have to say Goodbye. The Bedarra Team is what makes this place so enjoyable. Nothing too much trouble ... the service and attention from the Resort Manager, to the front of house wait staff and the island crew was absolutely superb. It would be unfair to single any out; they were all fantastic. The setting is glorious with two inlets/bays with sandy beaches that service both sides of the resort ... an easy stroll from one side of the resort to the other. The food prepared was at the chef's discretion on a daily basis; the menu would change each day and was also superb, as were the paired matching wines. A snacks bench and fridge was available 24/7 as were an unlimited supply of beautiful wines from the help yourself bar. While a premium wine selection was available to purchase, there was no need as the all inclusive wine list was extensive and we left with a list of wines to enjoy having tried them for the first time on the island. A wonderful relaxing week in a stunning location. We look forward to our return.

My husband surprised me with a special weekend away - and it was a very special treat. From the moment our feed touch the ground we felt welcomed and totally spoilt. Warm welcoming team, the view from our Villa overlooking the white sandy beach and crystal clear ocean made it hard to leave. Immaculate clean Villa, comfort excellence, divine food and best wine selection. The service was excellent, warm, nothing we could have wanted more. Highly recommended for the special getaway treat ! Thank you all @ Bedarra Island Resort

My wife and I loved this resort. The staff were very helpful in the booking process. The transfer between Cairns airport and the resort was seamless from when we were met after we got off the plane to when arrived In our room. The villa had everything we needed and more, it was very well maintained and recently renovated.

The food was excellent and the service provided by the staff was very friendly, helpful and efficient. The resort itself was in a great location with a really nice outlook and the grounds were very well maintained. A range of activities were offered or you can simply relax by the pool or on the beach. While the resort is not cheap it is all inclusive once you arrive.

All in all I thoroughly recommend this resort, although you will need to book in advance as it is very popular.

A group of 6 of us stayed at the resort for 4 nights a couple of weeks ago. From the moment we dropped in at the office in Mission Beach we were treated like royalty. This amazing attention to detail and superb customer service stayed with us throughout our stay and even to the moment the staff delivered our cars back to us on the mainland, cleaned and stocked up with water.

The weather was a little changeable for the time of year but this didn't matter 1 bit. there is so much to do, or not to do at the resort.

The self-serve bar is fantastic and stocked with pretty much everything you can think of to make some cool cocktails! the wine list is extensive, thoughtfully put together and covers pretty much every palate.

One thing I think the resort doesn't stress enough is just how fantastic the food is. This is top end dining, every meal, every day. Rich and tasty with serving sizes being suitable to the number of courses. Oh, and the bread!!! Wow!

Of the 6 in our party, 2 of us are vegetarian, 2 pescatarian, and the other 2 eating most other stuff. The resort catered for us brilliantly. They even took on board expanding their menu's to ensure that the pescatarians were not just offered a fish dish, but had a choice of veggie too.

We took a trip out for a 60th birthday day on a nearby island and the staff packed up an amazing lunch for us. We could not get around how amazing the tiffin (google it) loaded with food was. Just amazing.

The villas we all stayed in were the very definition of barefoot luxury. You wont get lots of glass and marble here. But it's just so fitting to the environment and everything you could need or want is provided with no questions at all. So much so, you ask for something and you always get at least 2!!

Sleeping to the sound of the waves was just brilliant and a memory I will treasure!

All the staff were brilliant. So understanding, understated and welcoming. It would almost be unfair to call out any individuals but Geoff the manager was just the perfect host. From the front of house and restaurant staff, to the site managers, cleaners and maintenance crews. All are ready with a smile and a chat and all ready to help with whatever you need.

Bedarra Island Resort is really as wonderful as the advertising says it is. I so hope we get a chance to go back again.
