Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Where do I start? When we first arrived at 2pm we had to wait outside until 2-45 pm as Reception was closed. It was supposed to open at 2-15pm. We went up to our room to find it was absolutely disgusting/putrid! The glass oven door was black with filth on it, the range hood was black & full of grease, the shower alcove was full of mould, the kitchen chairs were all ripped as was the sofa. There were big spider webs behind the TV unit, the washing machine was filthy, there was mould in the bin under the bin liner, under sink full of mould, cockroach baits next to toilet full of dust & webs. Then to have a cockroach crawl over me in bed was the last straw! We didn't sleep the entire night after the cockroach walked over me & sat on kitchen chairs as it was midnight & we couldn't get into another motel until the next day. We left by 6am the next day & the owner would not refund a single cent of our money. He said the unit was clean but I have photos to prove otherwise, oh & for the record another lady that stayed there & was leaving the same time got suspected bedbugs from there as she had red itchy bite marks all over her stomach! PLEASE DON'T GO THE CHEVRON PALMS, IT IS ABSOLUTELY FILTHY & DISGUSTING! The entire room was a disgrace. We lost $1,000 of our hard earned money & as pensioners it's not easy.

Having stayed there before booked for 14 nights paid in advance had email and receipt confirming On arrival told made an error no availability waited for 3 hours then moved to a sub standard apartment at Paradise Towers not one chair just 2 stools My husband and I are in our 80’s and I was recovering from cancer operation Only when my son intervened were we moved to Aloha apartment but had to pay extra funds Was a terrible experience and apparently Chevron Palms made extra funds from moving us to Paradise Towers This experience ruined our long awaited holiday

I stayed here last year same time. Adequate facilities, great location with shops and restaurants 600 metres away either on the island or across the bridge in Surfers. The 41 storey development right next door that was just a display room last year is now under construction, I won't be going back. As far as the room went we had a toaster that short circuited the room but was quickly replaced along with the bulb in the bedside lamp. One of the shower screen doors fell after a couple of days and despite showing it to a staff member and being told it would be fixed, was still just propped up(by myself) when we left a week and a half later. Good, simple and central accomodation for a reasonable price but the 130 metre monstrosity going up next door will kill it I think.

This establishment is awesome. From the moment I arrived, the service has been excellent. The room is very well set out and plenty of room for a solo traveler like me. The main bed was a bit hard, but I moved to the flip out sofa and had a great nights sleep there. For the money I payed this stay, it is worth the money you paid for. The beach is a 5 minute walk away and so is Coles and Woolworth's. OK there is the covid-19 here at the moment, but I like to support Australian businesses doing it tough while we fight this virus Take a well earned break and spend it here.

Out dated, filthy dirty, horrible service from management, no elevator, pool freezing, can't find one nice thing to say about the place. Do Not Stay There - you will be extremely disappointed!! My disabled son had to sleep on a 5cm foam mattress because they didn't have a room with a sofa bed like we had booked. Then they wanted to charge us $25 a day for the foam mattress. Room extremely small. The owner said that the room size advertised in the brochures included the balcony and the basement car park. So tiny. How ridiculous. Disgusting.. be warned.

I’ve stayed at Chevron Palms on two different occasions and each visit I was very impressed by the quality of the accommodation and management. The apartments are very well furnished and they are in a great location with easy walking distance to Surfers or alternatively to the great range of restaurants at chevron Island. The apartments are spacious and provide cooking facilities. It’s not the Hilton, but nor are there room rates!!

Easy check in after hours with lock box, Special parking lot directions not the easiest to follow. 1 hr trying to get to the garage. One elevator a little creepy with repair. Grocery store a huge plus. Few paper products for a large family. Dishes enough for one meal at a time. Purchased paper products so we were not wasting time on dishes after every meal. Limited blankets for beds. A little noisy from ground sounds. Early morning peaceful during the sun rise. No problems, maid service 15 minutes early before check out time. Sorta odd, stood outside the door while we were trying to rollout our suitcases. Didn't make any effort to move the cleaning cart towards the wall to let us have room to exit. For a large family with several suitcases and supplies that we had to purchase. Just odd to have a staff person stand and stare as we departed. Check out odd too. Cant check out and depart without the keys to get down the elevators, thru the doors and out of the garage. and returning to front takes you to the road, not the front. Just odd. Decent price for our large family and great view.

The apartment that I got was on the second floor. It had everything working. It was a fully furnished and equipped one bedroom apartment. The location is very good-close to the wax museum and to the center of Surfers Paradise. The person at the front desk was very helpful. Overall, I would say I was quite impressed.
