The Hotel is well positioned and it's great to have the tram stop practically outside the front door. Everything in the Hotel was well and efficiently run and the views from the room are fabulous.

I was on a flying visit to Surfers and needed to stay near Fern Ave. The OAKS fitted the bill exactly. Although a little dated, the room I was given was extremely spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable and very quiet. Also, the tram is immediately at the front door enabling a very easy and cheap transfer from the GC airport.

Close to everything, really friendly lady on reception was very keen to help us with whatever we needed. We had an issue with car parking which she sorted out for us late at night on our first night really going the extra mile to make us feel welcome. One thing I will note, we dined in the restaurant on the second night of our stay and it was middling to be honest. There was a young woman serving us on her own she was very polite and very friendly but they were very understaffed and when more customers came to order drinks at the bar area she had no choice but to disappear from serving our table. I ordered the prawn linguine which was unnecessary spicy it was laced with chilli seeds and inedible. The menu was not clear that this was a spicy dish. However, there are some things to consider as we dined late in the evening and it was through no fault of the server that our meals were not satisfactory. Nothing was comped from our meal or any form of redress for this which is just a gesture that would have been appreciated in this scenario. Despite this we really enjoyed our stay and felt we got good value for our money and the facilities were very clean and well kept. The bartender also made us some lovely strawberry daquiris at lunctime!!

The Oaks Gold Coast is a fantastic hotel. Conveniently located directly out the front of Florida Gardens tram stop and 2 blocks from the beach. The rooms are incredibly spacious and have a lovely balcony with ocean views and the Gold Coast skyline. They are older style but kept beautifully with a beautiful marble bathroom with spa bath and separate shower, there is a lounge to sit on and very comfortable bed. Reception staff are very helpful and professional. The pool is lovely, it is heated which was wonderful and the spa is super hot and bubbly...we loved both so much, only downside is you can kind of see and hear the traffic going past on one side...they just need to continue with the brush fencing and a hedge and more gardens to block it out and it would be so much better. The gardens on the property are lovely and tropical. The location is great, you are 1 stop on the tram from Broadbeach to the south and a couple of stops north up to Cavill Avenue. We also rode the lime bikes lying around everywhere on the Gold Coast, they are such a great idea and so enjoyable and very easy to use. Thanks Oaks Gold Coast, we couldn't fault you!

The room view and location is perfect for enjoying Surfers paradise and all the major beaches of Gold coast. However , rooms are a bit back dated. Had trouble finding power sockets to charge phones , laptops. They provide a wireless charging option with the clock but that heats up your phone. Faced drainage issue both in shower area and toilet area. It was solved soon but I suppose it was a issue with our room particularly. Even after repairing water drainage was very slow. Otherwise , very clean hotel and friendly staffs!

We arrived about 8pm to a locked door. After 10 mins, we were let in and shown to our room.
The room was large in size and had everything we needed - big bed, kitchen, washing machine, shower/spa and a view of the water.
Unfortunately the room was ‘tired’ and in need of an update. There were stains in the sinks, cupboards were broken, the decor needed a refresh and the sheets had a plastic feel about them.
All of that said, the room suited our needs for a one night stay.
At the price we paid, we’d probably explore another option for next time.

Had a great 1 night stay at this hotel just recently. Was having a night away at the coast with my daughter as a Mother's Day treat. The hotel was in an ideal location, just a short walk to Surfer's Paradise, and just one stop on the tram to Broadbeach. So in an ideal location for plenty of bars and restaurants, but also far enough away to be peaceful. The room was spacious and ideal for our requirements, we stayed in a fully self contained apartment, so were able to enjoy our morning coffee from the Nespresso machine provided in the kitchen. We were delighted to have an ocean view, and enjoyed a beautiful sunrise from our balcony. Would definitely chose this hotel when staying at the Gold Coast again.

The views from my two balconies in my one bedroom apartment were spectacular! The staff are friendly and helpful, and the location is very convenient with a tram stop directly in front of the hotel, two stops from pacific fair and four stops to surfers paradise made it very easy to get around. My bed was comfortable, shower was good and there was a spa bath too.

We stayed for two nights in a suite and really enjoyed the experience. Some would say that the rooms need a refresh but we quite enjoyed the older styling with the wood cupboard storage between the main bedroom area and toilet/bathroom area a clever design feature as it separates the two areas. Some people have commented about the super soft mattress on the bed and while they are verrrryyy soft as we thought we might get sore backs ( We didn’t) sleeping in them we found them to be very comfortable. Food wise we were a bit hungry when we arrived and there doesn’t appear to be anything close by but we went to the cafe/restaurant at the crown towers (Relish grill and bar) next door so that’s always a close and good option to eat and we can also recommend the little cafe (26 & Sunny at the Langham towers) on the beach. Overall we had a great time and the staff were friendly and helpful and even a later checkout on 11am was not a problem when we wanted to have a swim in the pool before we checked out so book a room you won’t be disappointed.

Could be better housekeeping, nothing in the mini bar, Wi-Fi not working, sofa bed broke first night nothing offered for an apology not even sorry. Overall great location and very good view. When the booking was made there was no option to choose service or no service in the room, so we stayed 3 nights and had to do housekeeping ourselves. Sofas and bed had few stains that made it not welcoming. The reception was helpful but the resolution is not always satisfactory. Thank you Oaks for your hospitality.
