Drawing inspiration from the sea, Rhapsody’s designers have created a dynamic beachside apartment address. A sophisticated architectural statement reminiscent of grand vessels from a bygone era. A building of two distinct architectonic elements encased in a dramatic corten steel street level hull, destined to become the signature of the Surfers North precinct in Surfers Paradise, Australia.

This is my third stay at Rhapsody during this Covid year. I’ve gone alone for some respite, with my Mum who is wheelchair bound and now taken my husband and daughter. All of us loved our stays.
The views are exceptional. The one and two bedders both have advantages - hard to choose which I prefer.
Being at the Northern end of Surfers you are away from the direct noise of Cavill Avenue yet it’s only a 15 min walk.
The facilities including gym, pool, sauna, steam room, lounge on floor 27, BBQ facilities on the roof top, are all good quality. Yes it gets busy during holiday periods but you speak with staff and find out the quieter periods if that bothers you.
The cleaners do a good job attending to the rooms and you just need to ask if you want more sachets of tea/ sugar etc.
I would recommend bringing some paper towels, some spare dishwashing tablets, garbage bags oil for cooking and a salt shaker if you like your food salty :)
Washing machine, dryer, ironing board, safe, hair dryer all worked well.
Staff are friendly and the cafe downstairs caters for breakfast and lunch. Say hi to Niko from Chile who’ll look after you with a smile.
Eating out with a family at the GC can be expensive so plan ahead and do your shopping at Woolworths in Caville Avenue once you get there. Take your car into Surfers as carting heavy grocery bags for 15 mins can be tiresome especially with whining children.
Parking can get crowded underneath Rhapsody especially after 5 pm so make sure you arrive and park before then.
I balk at recommending this place too loudly as I don’t want everyone knowing about this favorite secret spot of mine but if you must join me, book at Rhapsody for a real beachfront holiday in style at a reasonable price.

Location: Surfer Paradise is just opposite street, so you can go to there within 10 mins. All other attractions are within 30 mins driving, so very easy to get access.

Room: Excellent view with the sea and a big balcony for the sea view. Room is big and all equipment ready like washing machine, dryer and cooking things.

Staff: Very responsive. When I request some things like Tin Paper, washing powder, can provide immediately.

Price: Not cheap, but worth to have such stunning view.

We enjoyed our 7 night stay at Rhapsody Resort. The hotel is positioned in the northern part of Surfers Paradise, very close to Main Beach and about a 6min drive from Seaworld. It's far enough north to escape to bustle of downtown Surfers Paradise. The Gold Coast is fairly compact and nothing is very far away if you have a car. The hotel is also next to the tram stop which takes you right into Surfers Paradise as well as Broadbeach and beyond.

The views from our 2bed apartment were spectacular, with ocean facing balcony and windows facing onto the beach, tramway and the beachfront high-rises. The pool and hot pool are very relaxing and public sitting areas are well maintained, modern and clean. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was adequate for a week stay.

The adjoining Rhapsody Beachside Cafe is really nice. Great place to enjoy coffee and/or breakfast in the morning before heading out for the day. Loved the Hamptons beach decor. Very attentive staff too.

Downsides:
(1) The apartment cleanliness could have been improved. We felt we needed to go out purchase cleaning products to clean the apartment surfaces in both the kitchen and bathrooms, as well the door handles and kitchen cupboards. The daily housekeeping is only a mini-service with beds being made, quick wipe down on surfaces, but no toilet or shower cleaning. The housekeeping on some days was better than others, and sometimes delayed to very late in the afternoon, so I suspect there maybe a consistency problem within the housekeeping team. In the future I'll opt for the 'no housekeeping' option and just clean the apartment myself.

(2) The furniture in the apartments, whilst modern, is starting to look a little tired.

(3) Staff inconsistencies. Some of the staff on reception were very friendly and helpful and were keen to greet when walking into the lobby. Other staff preferred to keep their heads down and not even acknowledge us. We were disappointed that when we stood at reception and advised we were checking out, the lady on reception simply said OK and took our room keys. An acknowledgement of our 7 night stay (and business) would have been nice. As we've always said, don't work in hospitality if you're not a naturally hospitable person.

Apart from the few negatives, we'd still recommend Rhapsody as it's well priced, well positioned and generally a nice place to say. We would happily return.

First, I would like to thank Rhapsody Resort Gold Coast for offering us a complimentary upgrade to a top floor to celebrate our anniversary with a complimentary bottle of bubbles.

As always in my reviews I'll hop on best and weakest sides of the property facilities, amenities and services

PROS

Great location in quite a part of Surfers Paradise but minutes to all local attractions and facilities

Complimentary Parking

Nice roof top garden with breathtaking views

A lot of BBQ facilities on a roof top garden/residents lounge

Nice amenities in the bathroom

CONS

Beds is the biggest disappointment. I have never experienced such a poor bedding product in hotels/resorts, but bed in a 3-star hotel in Italy was much better. Hotels and resorts sell beds and you usually expect them to be comfortable and nice.

This is apartments, not a hotel, so no bath robs, slippers, shaving or free dental kits available

Housekeeping is basic and does not cover cleaning the whole apartment every day

Swimming pool is small and very basic, especially comparing to other resorts in the same price category (Mantra, etc)

Overall it was a nice stay but in this budget I would prefer a full service hotel like Hilton/Crown Plaza

Hi Verinchuk, First of all thank you for taking the time out to wright your review of our Resort, we hold our staff and building at the highest standard and appreciate all feedback and take everything onboard when going through them. We do apologies for the bedding during your stay and hope you got in touch with us for a more comfortable topper for your bed. We hope we haven't mislead you in in anyway to infer that we are a hotel and not serviced apartments. We are sorry that our pool, spa, sauna and steam room were not up to your standard either and hope the beach across the road make up for the lack of space. We hope you choose to stay with us again at the resort, and hopefully we can meet your standard a bit better Kind Regards, Charlie M Rhapsody Reception

Having come to Goldie many times, it was my first visit to Rhapsody. I booked an ocean view room so I could enjoy the views. Upon arrival, I was given a room really quickly and headed upstairs. It was a high floor that I requested for but upon entry into the room, I realised that although it was a king sized bed, it was actually two singles put together. Being a solo traveller, I gave the reception a call to check if a queen bed room was available. I was relocated promptly to a lower floor room but it directly faced the ocean! I would gladly say this is certainly the room I prefer as the views are fabulous, almost as if I was right by the ocean. The room contained tea and coffee making facilities with a stovetop, full sized fridge, washer and dryer, microwave, dishwasher and oven. It is certainly equipped for a long term stay! The room had a strange insect/leftover food near the window but it was not a big drama as the view compensated for it. Ample number of pillows were available, just that they are a little too soft. Thankfully, I did bring my own so was not fussed about it. Good water pressure for the bathroom and it faced the ocean as well! Aircon was great and worked well. I highly recommend including some dishwashing liquid in the room rather than just the dishwasher sachet as it is almost a waste to use the dishwasher if I used only a couple of utensils and cups. The facilities were great and I used the steam room and sauna almost daily and you could take towels for the pool from the reception to use. The 41st storey with 360 views and bbq is a great addition to the property. Free parking is also a plus. I basically walked everywhere and absolutely enjoyed my stay. Both reception staff Harriett and Laura were pleasant and friendly. It is not as luxurious as a couple of other stays I had in Goldie but the views really made up for it so I am keen to return just for them!

We stayed in a two bed roomed apartment on the 24th floor and had views overlooking the sea, Surfers Paradise and the mountains. Excellent position with sun rises and sunsets of excellent beauty to be forever remembered. The apartment was very clean and comfortable with good amenities and very comfortable beds
Staff were always friendly, accomodating and willing to help with any queries we had regarding activities in the area
The train ran frequently from north to south and was in easy walking distance of building so we were able to traverse area inexpensively and safely.
Loved staying at Rhapsody. The worst part was leaving

We stayed for two nights and it was the best experience we have had in Surfers Paradise as we are locals and was there for my sons 30th birthday. We had recently stayed at a apparent 5 star accommodation and wrote a review regarding the poor quality in which they responded with a lie.
If you want quality this is the accommodation for you, it is a little bit further from Surfers about a 20min walk , but well worth it, extremely clean and pristine, gas cooktop and a full size fridge, views were spectacular from our one bedroom apartment. And the roof top barbeque area is amazing.

This is the second time I have stayed at Rhapsody & both times were equally as relaxing. This is a newer hotel, located one street away from the beach, boasting incredible ocean views.

The apartments are spacious with all of the facilities to live comfortably. The hotel has a spa, sauna and pool as well as a BBQ area on the 41st floor (Rooftop Terrace). The rooftop terrace is something else. Comfy lounges and plenty of space to enjoy the spectacular 360 degree views.

I was a little disappointed with the hotel’s response after going up to the 41st floor to cook a BBQ - only to learn there was a massive party up there. Considering this hotel has a “No party policy”, there seemed to be little care from Reception after they were advised of the party. It was clear this party would continue for hours and there would’ve been no opportunity for us (or any other hotel patrons) to have accessed the BBQ area on this particular night.

This property is situated in a prime location, there was no need to drive if you did not want to ( which is how a real break away should be) walking distance to shops, restaurants, supermarkets and most importantly, the bottle shops.
Cavill Ave is 1 km / 5 min walk.

I slept to the sound of the waves crashing.
I woke to an amazing sun rise while sipping on a coffee.
I pulled my bikini on under my workout gear and jogged along the beach before I stripped off for a swim, all before before breakfast.

The room was extremely neat and tidy, the beds were comfortable, the kitchenette had everything you needed to cook your own meals. The pool and spa was clean and easily accesses. The view from the roof top was break taking.

I am considering purchasing a room! lol....

We have just stayed at Rhapsody Resort of the 2nd time this year and love everything about the resort. We had a room on the 37th floor and the view was spectacular. The rooms are very well appointed with cooking and laundry facilities. The options for the rooftop and 27th floor BBQ and seating areas are just fantastic. The pool area is great but it's also just a quick walk over the road to the a patrolled beach area. What we also liked most about the resort is that it's at the quiet north end of Surfers and a 10 min walk to either Cavill Ave or Main Beach (which we loved the most). We had a minor problem with housekeeping being a bit inconsistent however reception were great at sorting this. Also when our dryer was working it was replaced immediately.... the staff from reception to maintenance were all amazing and so friendly.
