Would not describe this as a luxury hotel It was okay. We arrived quite late so we had to use the late check in. It seems the key was not accessible to the parking lot. We could not access the parking. We had to park across the road. We received an accessible room but did not request a accessible room. Did not like the bathroom in the accessible room. The shower was open which made water go everywhere. We also did not like the soap as it did not lather. The balcony on the room was very awkward as it wasn’t private and anyone could enter it. The restaurant was closed the next morning.
In Rockhampton for 3 days to visit family and very impressed with hotel. A warm welcome ar reception who was able to check on room and get us in early (around 11am). The room was immaculate and had all facilities required for our stay, beds extremely comfortable. Housekeeping service refreshed the room and everything working perfectly. Convenient to shops and getting around town. Highly recommend staying here for work or pleasure and will be back.
Clean rooms but furniture and fittings very tired and worn. Staff were lovely. Central convenient location with secure parking. Most of the gym equipment was non operational. Cafe located below appartments serves good coffee Easy walk to river
During June 2021, I accepted an invitation to attend an important lunch event at the Frenchville Sports Club in Rockhampton. I made the decision to travel from Brisbane to Rockhampton and return by Queensland Rail's excellent Tilt Train Service and enjoy a five night stay, to not only attend the featured lunch event, but also to see a few of the local Rockhampton sights and attractions on offer as well as utilising Young's Bus Service for visits to Mount Morgan and Rosslyn Bay (to get to Great Keppel Island). In researching on the Internet for somewhere to stay for my visit, I stumbled across the CBD Luxury Accommodation at 64 Bolsover Street, with good reviews. As it transpired, I made an excellent choice in booking up a studio apartment at this establishment because the price was right, the location was excellent and the apartment itself was well appointed and perfect as a home away from home for a single traveller like me for 5 nights. Booking the place on Agoda was a simple process and offered last minute cancellation, if necessary. The reception staff attend to the reception desk for most of the daytime but do not operate for 24 hours; however there is an efficient after hours arrival process which I was able to navigate easily on my arrival. At the outside entrance is a set of steps and also a most thoughtful ramp for disabled access and to make it easier for guests wheeling their luggage. My fifth floor studio apartment was compact and comfortable and had a balcony with views of mainly city houses. On one of the nights I witnessed a great sunset from my balcony. In the carpeted area of the apartment there is a king size bed next to a divan bed and small bedside cupboard with a lamp with a wardrobe to the side. There was adequate hanging space and shelving in the wardrobe and it provided a good supply of coat hangers as well as an ironing board and iron. The bathroom had the basics of a vanity sink unit with plenty of bench space, mirror, toilet and shower facility and it met my needs throughout my stay. A slight criticism is the height of the water barrier on the floor at the end of the open shower recess. It needs to be a little higher as it did not stop water from flowing to other parts of the bathroom making the polished tiled floor slippery. Therefore guests need to observe caution when drying off after a shower. The most impressive aspect of the apartment was the kitchenette with a microwave; two burner gas stove top, plenty of cupboard space, an adequate supply of cooking and eating utensils, table and two chairs and best of all a full size refrigerator/freezer. Too many accommodation places only offer a small bar fridge which never fully meets the traveller’s needs, so full marks to the management for going a step further. This kitchenette was fabulous for my stay as I chose to cook all my breakfasts and most of my dinners rather than eat out. As such, I did not avail myself of their ground floor Café Bliss, which I understand offers very good food judging by the reviews I have read. The cleaning staff emptied the rubbish bins and changed towels each day and did a full service on the third day. I was impressed with the overall cleanliness of the place. The apartments are in a great location with the City Centre Plaza incorporating a Coles Supermarket only 450 metres (6 minutes walk) away. Then there is the Archer Street Railway Museum only 400 metres (5 minutes walk) away; the bus stop for Young’s Bus Service 800 metres (9 minutes walk) away; the Pilbeam Theatre literally just across the road and the Fitzroy River waterfront just a leisurely 4 minutes stroll away. On location alone this place gets my vote. I really enjoyed my five nights stay in the CBD Luxury Accommodation. I would highly recommend this establishment for travellers looking for a nice, conveniently located place to stay in Rockhampton.…
We only stayed here for one night but really enjoyed our stay. Check in was quick and seamless, having completed an online check in prior to arriving. We were in a one bedroom studio on the first floor and were amazed at the size of the space for the price. Good value for a king size very comfortable bed, kitchenette with table and chairs, large bathroom with excellent shower and toiletries, and spotlessly clean and quiet. We were on the same level as the gym and pool but didn't use them for the short time we were here. Parking is available under the building and in a small area outside. Note that the parking can be a bit tight as the driveway is narrow and parking spaces small, so be aware if you have a large vehicle. The location was pretty good, being walking distance to a shopping centre, restaurants and the river. There is also an excellent cafe on the ground floor that does a great breakfast. You're a short drive from other amenities and attractions. Overall we loved our stay here and will happily stay here again.…
My partner and I have stayed at CBD Luxury accommodation a few times now and as regular visitors to Rocky it’s now the only place we stay! Always clean, value for money and great customer service. The location is close to the Rocky riverfront precinct and the Pilbeam theatre. Love this place and will be back again!
Located close to the river The location itself is in a quiet street, not much around except old houses or empty offices The big shopping centre was a 5 min drive by car Checkin was easy and the guy was friendly and helpful Parking was a disaster Only a few narrow spaces, not enough for all the cars Our studio was bright and spacious. It looked clean. Modern bathroom. The sofa bed had a few spots, so had the wall next to it Our view from the balcony upper floor was over old houses, but at night with all the lights and the sunset it looked stunning. Kingsize bed mattress was a bit with partner disturbence when turning around. We are not used to this. It was very quiet at night. Try to book upper floors They have an elevator The River and what they call Town centre was in walking distance.…
Booked on same day for a one night stay on way up the coast . Excellent price & value for money . Comfy bed , very clean . Very quiet never heard any noise and walk to river & restaurants . Free parking.,
Just an over nighter but left happy. Only booked the studio. Usually like something bigger, but it was quite spacious and the price was great value. Great communication with friendly manager. Only slight downside was the shower floods the floor quite easily and tiles got slippery. We were abit late nabbin b'fast downstairs, popular little place. Would recommend for sure
What a shame we were only staying one night! We were welcomed by Matt, who provided us with the most spectacular room overlooking the river. Huge room, comfy bed, large bathroom - what more could you ask for. We chose CBD Luxury Accommodation after staying previously (probably over 5 years ago) and would definitely stay again.
