This is my second stay here at Silkari great location close to centre of Port Douglas and a short walk to 4 mile beach, access to 6 lagoon style pools to choose from which were very clean, spotless bbq facilities and sun lounges. We had two seperate bookings and the staff were very accommodating and made sure our rooms were next door to each other (83 & 84).
Jason was quick to respond one night when the fridge in one of our rooms kept switching off, it was fixed the very next day.
Will definitely be returning again hopefully in the not so distance future.

We booked a plunge 2 bedroom unit for our 3night stay in Port Douglas. There were 3 adults and one child. The room was huge and allowed us to all have our own space. The plunge pool was well maintained and had it have been a little warmer would've been used often! The unit also had a spa bath that we used daily.
The spa was missing a plug and after a call to reception we had a new one delivered within 10 minutes.
The room was so well priced compared to units in town. We came with a large group for a wedding and paid less than most guests in town with small rooms. We had a car hired so we're able to travel around easily and were able to park the car at the unit without any extra fees.
I would highly reccomend Silkari lagoons to families and couples wanting a lovely getaway!

My family stayed here for six nights in the school holidays and were instantly impressed. We had never been to FNQ before and management checked us in quickly and were really helpful. We even got an upgrade to a 3 bedroom apartment! They also offered us lots of advice for places to eat and visit.

The apartment itself was huge - kids had a double and a king sized bed to themselves, plus their own bathroom. We had an outdoor spa bath which overlooked one of the resort’s six huge pools, which were heated to a good temperature. Beds were all very comfortable and kitchen was fully equipped, along with lots of Foxtel channels to choose from. Down at the pool area there was a massive bbq kitchen you could use as well, which we took advantage of a couple of times.

I honestly can not fault this resort - it’s in a great location, is really quiet, and is within 5 mins walk to Four Mile Beach. We didn’t want to leave! We will be back, Silkari is amazing!

Really glad I decided to opt for the 68 sqm room for our stay, as opposed to the 22sqm. It was lovely and spacious for the two of us (had a double bed each). Very comfy beds. The reception and cleaning staff were friendly and helpful (lent us a salt shaker and supplied extra cleaning sachets and rubbish bags promptly when asked). We liked the location as we were directly opposite from St Crispins Cafe, which has delicious food in a very picturesque setting, and the shuttle/taxi van service is only $5-6 dollars into town or we could walk 45 mins along the beach instead. Very relaxing holiday destination.

Thank you to Silkari Lagoons for a memorable stay! We were lucky enough to stay in a one bedroom exclusive plunge pool apartment. The apartment was spacious with a nice kitchen & we were impressed that we had an inside living room as well as an outside sitting area with a table & chairs plus a large courtyard with a couple of lounges & a plunge pool. The bedroom was a good size with a comfy king bed & we appreciated the clothes hangers. The bathroom was very clean with a walk in shower.
The staff at reception were very helpful & gave us tips on where to eat etc.
We would definitely stay here again & recommend to others.

Booked in for a six day stay. More than pleased with our accomodation. We booked a apartment with plunge pool. Large bedroom with adjoining room with couch, that could be converted to a bed. The bedroom had sliding door for privacy if used as another bedroom. Washer and dryer tucked away in a double door cupboard. Appliances were super quiet when in use.
Kitchen with two hot plate stove, and microwave. Toaster, kettle, sandwich press, plus plenty of pots and pans. Large living room combined with dinning area. Outside courtyard with couch, table and chairs. The apartment has three split system air conditions. 1 in living area, 1 in bedroom, and other in room adjoining bedroom. Plus there are ceiling fans.
As no one was booked in room next to us, management left door unlocked to sauna for us to use.
The only downside, and this is my personal opinion, and does not reflect as a major negative towards our stay!
Parking is limited, and tight. Be aware to use exhaust fan over stove. Could, or can be expensive if fire brigade is involved. Anything from $1500 to 2000 plus. As some guests would have found out when alarm went off and two fire trucks turned up.
The plunge pool only has one step for entry and exit. Plus the hand rail has a bad design and placement. Not to good for people with knee issues! Plus, with wet hands, it is a struggle to get out of the pool.
If one does not feel like cooking breakfast in the morning, one can go next door with voucher and enjoy a pleasant breakfast there.

The apartments are out of town but this was no concern as we had a hire car (We booked the accommodation and car in November 2020). Our room was a good size and comfortable, great king sized bed too. It is great having direct pool access, table and chairs and pool lounges on your own veranda. The apartments lack some atmosphere as there is no bar or restaurant so no holiday vibe either. The property was understaffed like most places in PD, so it will be up to you to go back and forwards to reception to get more toiletries, toilet paper, tea and coffee. The reception staff were helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our 5 night stay and would stay again. We realised that they room would only be cleaned each 7 days but I would pay more to have the room cleaned every 3 days or so.

Hi travelwithlisa, Thank you for your 4 star review of the Hotel. I am pleased to read that you enjoyed the swim-out rooms with direct access to the pool and found the rooms comfortable. As Silkari Lagoons Port Douglas is a self catered resort with mostly apartment style accommodation, there are no food and beverage facilities on site. The hotel is very close to the supermarket (and bottle shop) and other local restaurants and cafes, where you can "live like local". As the Resort is self catered we clean our rooms on the 8th day of your stay and we provide enough in-room supplies for the first few nights of your stay. As you mention, additional supplies are available at reception. This is reflected in the pricing to ensure we continue to offer great value accommodation in Port Douglas. I am delighted to read that you found the Silkari Staff helpful and friendly and I will pass this on to the team. We would look forward to welcoming you back to the Resort. Kind Regards Jason Cook National Sales Director

Had 10 nights in a One Bedroom Lagoon Swim-out Apartment. We loved it, great to step outside and straight into the pool with the convenience of a fully equipped kitchen and laundry within and car park on site. The location was quiet and peaceful. We didn’t have a lot of dealings with the staff but what we did was great and always friendly. Check in and out was easy and no issues. Love the ceiling fans and A/C throughout the apartment. Bed was comfortable and shower pressure excellent. We had a car so was easy to get into the main parts of PD but may be an issue if you don’t have one due to its location. The apartment could do with a coat of paint and we had to clean the kitchen utensils etc. before use but overall we were really happy with our stay and would recommend to other.

The Silkari Lagoons is one of the premier resorts in Port Douglas. We recently stayed there for a week which allowed us to fully enjoy everything the resort had to offer. The staff were very welcoming and were willing to assist with any problems. One of the doors in the room seemed to be stuck and rusted, and when we rang reception we were told maintenance isn't in until tomorrow but this didn't stop reception from coming down and having look to see if the door could be fixed.

We had a room with swim out pool access, which I believe is a must as it allows quick and easy access to the pool, without leaving the comfort of the room. As for the room itself it was very spacious and did not real cramped once during the entire stay. Would highly recommend Silkari Lagoons

Rude staff, unhelpful, no tea, milk sugar for a 10 pm arrival Staff openly argue with customers. It is out of town so if you havent been ripped off by the car hire places in cairns then prepare to constantly bus it in. Don’t try and do your laundry because the cleaners have priority over the washing machines and we were rudely told to go in to town and find a laundromat even thought the sign says guest laundry. We were told to holiday on North Queensland but North Queensland is not prepared for any holiday makers. Understaffed due to a heavy reliance on transient workers. Overpriced. A poorly run resort.

Dear GlobeTrotting272946, I am very disappointed to read your review of the Hotel. Your experience at the Hotel is not the usual standard of the Hotel and is certainly something we will review internally. As you mention the Hotel is out of town, which naturally has its benefits of being in a quieter location. The bus shuttle service is very efficient and very inexpensive. I am very sorry that this was not clear at the time of booking. The guest laundry is certainly there for the guests and this is something we will review with the Housekeeping team. I would be happy to discuss this further should you choose. Kind Regards Jason Cook National Sales Manager
