Detailed Reviews
We last stayed here 2012 and when a fantastic deal came up on NRMA Travel, couldn’t resist. We still loved it after 10 years, it is a gated resort that is kept in wonderful condition, just as good as 10 years ago. The rooms were really clean and a breakfast hamper was included with the dealWe had a one bedroom apartment and although not the most modern, funky furnishings, we loved being there, the pool is so relaxing and the bit we loved the best, a walkway to the Sea Temple Golf course next door which has to be one of the best we’ve visited. The club house is so relaxing, sitting on the verandah enjoying the view of the surrounding mountains and the course whilst we enjoyed breakfasts and lunches. MyQldHOliday have deals for next year, we will be very tempted to stay again. Loved Port Douglas and all the inclusions they gave us in our package, especially the Wildlife Habitat where you can revisit every day for free if you want to. When it came time to leave we didn’t want to go, although we were going to Cairns for 2 nights which was really nice as well, but a different vibe to Port, much busier in Cairns, it was also start of the QLD school holidays.

We had an incredible stay at the Paradise Links Resort in Port Douglas. The location was perfect, conveniently close to the beach and easily accessible via local transport links, making it a breeze to explore the area. The modern, relaxing pools were exceptionally clean and kid-friendly; the resort exceeded our expectations with unbeatable comfort and value. We highly recommend it and will definitely be back! (5/5)
The resort maintained impeccable standards, with beautifully well-kept gardens. Special mention to the welcoming staff, from the initial check-in at the front office to the housekeeping team (who ensured our room was spotless and well-maintained), and even the friendly gardeners. Their attention to detail and sociable demeanor made a real difference. The staff's dedication and professionalism made my visit comfortable and memorable. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Port Douglas; it truly felt like a home away from home. Thank you for everything.

I must say Rodney, Theresa and their team are incredible, the dedication, the vision and the effort to bring the property to life is amazing! The grounds are beautiful, emphasis on safety for their guests whilst admiring the grounds is so evident...beautiful paths, a perfect place to start your journey. The 2 pools beckon you to take a dip, lovely, relaxing slip into tropics nature with blue Ulysses butterflies 🦋 drifting past. The rooms are immaculate, so beautifully maintained and EVERYTHING you need, comfortable bedding and climate control in your living space, just ideal. Intimate buses with plenty of room for families every 10 minutes from the reception to any place in Port Douglas, extremely economical. Sorry for the long review but you need to know, the love put into the accommodation, we have been coming here for 15 years, can't wait for the next 15 years!!! Well done TEAM 🥰🥰

Was booked into this accommodation for 5 nights as part of a Discover Australia package.
Having day tours arranged I was not initially phased by its isolation from restaurants, shopping centres however on cancellation of 3 tours I had to quickly re evaluate and suss out how or where I was going to get supplies or have meals.
The golf club is adjacent but the selection of refreshments was limited and only breakfast and lunch offered with Friday being the only night open for tea.
No Menulog or doordash and only pizza delivery via uber.
Julian- reception advised me of the shuttle bus service and the option to attend Coles and get supplies.
What a blessing!!
Now as to accommodation - it is dated however clean and comfortable and apart from having to rely on bus shuttle service at $10 per return trip, it was fine.
There are two pool areas and I preferred the one near the tennis court as it offered some privacy, the other one was near reception.
They do provide a starter kit of tea, coffee and UHT milk but you will need to top up.
No housekeeping services for under 7 days.
Microwave, coffee pod machine (no pods), electric kettle, toaster and the usual crockery and cutlery supplied.
Air conditioner and ceiling fan.
Reliable internet connection and free to air and Foxtel channels tv reception.
I prefer to be in walking distance of a shopping centre and even though shuttle bus service economical and timely, I would not attend here again.

Thank you for taking the time to provide a review. It is very much appreciated. Our return guests enjoy the peaceful surroundings of our resort and the beautiful space of the tropical gardens. This is what sets us apart from other accommodation. Families also enjoy the self-catering accommodation and BBQ areas. The shuttle service into town again is extremely popular, very reliable and good value for money. Coffee pods are provided in the starter kit but are also available to purchase from reception. We can also supply extra towels etc if requested. Thank you and all the best Therese, Rod and the Paradise Links Resort Team

Quite a disappointing experience. This is not really a resort. Other than a pool there are no facilities. We stayed because my husband was to play a round of golf at the connecting golf course.
The rooms are very tired and need upgrading. There were several chips in the cabinetry and the paintwork was shabby.
The wifi did not work and despite the visit if the maintenance guy we still did not have wifi.
The reception desk is open during office hours and can book tours, etc for you. The 'resort' is a good hours walk from town although just 400m from the beach. A shuttle bus is available at $6 or $10 return

We booked what we believed was an "apartment" only to arrive to a motel room which was so small two of us could not be at the end of the bed together. The bathroom to be fair was good. There was no screen door on the slider so no fresh air available cause if you opened the door you invited all the mozzies and midgees in to play. We paid $4,600 for 17 nights - our friends in other complexes paid around $2000 for much larger rooms and apartments for the same amount of time. We booked here due to proximity to the golf course, BIG MISTAKE. Cleaned every 5 days, given 2 towels of poor quality only, so if you wash your hair your husband suddenly has a wet towl to use. You actually have to go and ask for additional towels over the 5 day period. The carpet in our room was so worn it was pulling away from the tiles. 3 coat hangers only - lucky I brought my own. You basically have to keep the air conditioner going due to the screen door not being installed so if you dont like sleeping with aircon, bad look here.

Dear Mainmeotrace1959 Please accept our apologies that we did not meet your expectations. Unfortunately you booked one of Links Rooms, which is a studio room. We would have upgraded you to an apartment if we had one available, but we were unable to. We are also a self-catering resort so rooms are not serviced daily, but we are always happy to provide any extras if requested. Once again, please accept our most sincere apologies. Kind regards Liz

I was recommended to stay here by a lovely gentleman who stays here ever year and feel very let down
Will start with positives
Area we were in was very quiet and the bed was comfortable.
Now for the rest.
Parking limited due to tradie taking up spot for his trailer so we had to park in someone else’s spot.
Apartment is very outdated
Stove didn’t work and either did clicker
Surround in microwave kept falling off
Appliances very out dated
Sliding wardrobe in bed room couldn’t use as doors fell off due to no runners left
Tv in bedroom in some form of cupboard where my husband could see it due to cupboard door
Unfortunately we won’t be returning
Shower very awkward
No cupboard to store food

The resort was too far from the township of Port Douglas so without a car it was disappointing for us as it was booked as a package deal and if we had booked accommodation ourselves it would have been within walking distance of the town and beach. The place was nice enough with a great pool area and they did suggest we could get a shuttle bus to town at our cost. The rooms are not serviced each day and if your need extra milk or tea bags best to bring your own.

I got a package deal to stay at Paradise Links and stayed with my husband in a one bedroom apartment for five nights. As others have commented, the resort is not particularly well serviced - the desk is often not attended (though they asked our arrival time and someone was there when we arrived) and no one cleaned our room while we were staying (which is totally fine with me but so you know) and the only problem was there was only one roll of toilet paper when we arrived so we had to buy more (we tried to front desk to ask but it was closed.) WIFI was also not working when we stayed. The room was clean when we arrived and had everything we needed. As part of the package deal we got some other inclusions including tickets to a wildlife park, however the person at reception didn't know about this and was quite dismissive when we asked about how to get it. However, the apartment was really nice, had a great balcony, decent amount of space, comfortable bed and quiet. We were really happy with it considering what we paid with the deal and had a nice holiday in Port D comfortable at Paradise Links. It's a short drive into town, and the security gates work well so on the whole we were happy with it. The pool area is nice too and we had one day of relaxing around the pool reading books- the area was clean and well kept. I would stay there again as it was good for what it is- comfortable accommodation, nice pool, good location, not a luxury resort.

The apartment we stayed in was nice though a bit dated and the kitchenette had basic equipment though sufficient to cook most meals. As per convention now cleaning only takes place weekly, so we didn't have on for our 4 day stay. However, on stripping the bed on our last day we found it had not in fact been changed. The pools are decent though again the sun loungers are filthy as they are left out without cleaning and get wet and muddy. The resort is in a good location and is adjacent to a golf club though has no other facilities. I would say for the price it is average and would guess the cleanliness will be put down to lack of staff, which is a major issue in Port Douglas so book restaurants in advance. I await a management reply to my query about my apartment not being cleaned on arrival.

There is a shuttle bus which is $5.00 per person each way and half price for children. The company also does a multi trip tickets which can be purchased from reception. We do hire bikes which are $12.00 for a half day and $18.00 for a full day.
HI
We are 5klm from the main street (Macrossan Street) and it takes approx 5-10 minutes by car and is approx 45minute walk along the beach
Hi
About 5km out of town but there are various shuttle bus services available (highly recommend SR transport)
Fairly cheap and easy way to get around
without having to hire a car
