Part of our FNQ getaway after driving down from Cooktown. Port Douglas is a very different vibe. We enjoyed accommodation - clean and no fuss. Good parking. Used the pool a few times. Used front desk to book a snorkeling tour and the discount was worthwhile. Can recommend local seafood if you want to cook a mean at home. Would stay again. Large screen TV was a bonus while the 2024 Olympics were on.

The apartment was large with plenty of space for 4 adults and 2 kids. The apartments are a little dated but are very clean and tidy and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. We used the outdoor bbq area most days and noticed the barbecues were immaculately clean each time. The location is almost unbeatable - easy walking distance (with toddlers) to the Surf Club, 4 Mile Beach and Macrossan St. The managers are friendly and helpful and seem to be doing everything right!

We stayed here for a week in January 2023. The accomodation was very spacious with two seperate bedrooms and bathrooms. All neccessary items were supplied for self catering. The living room area was large with a small balcony off it which was lovely for having breakfast. The apartment was airconditioned and the beds were extremely comfortable. A few of the fixtures were a little tired but nothing that in any way detracted from our stay. There are a couple of pools although we only used the one at the front which was never crowded. The location is a five minute walk from the beach and around 10-15 mins from the main shopping and restaurant area. We had a lovely week and would definitely stay there again.

The location was great, the facilities were lacking some real basic items such as even a spare rubbish bag or tissues. Reception is never manned so although items are easy enough to get (like a beach towel) you have to leave a message and wait for someone to call you back. We were advised (twice) that the cot had a matress however it didn't and we arrived outside of reception hours by a few mins so had to come up with a plan b for our little one. Maintenence noise with a jack hammer and no communication from reception about it. Again not ideal with a 2yo who has a mid day nap. Would be OK as a couple as these things are easy enough to deal with however I would never recommend this place to a family, it's made our holiday a lot more stressful than needed.

Happy:
Location is great: walking distance to the beach and shops
Quiet; Comfortable beds; Spacious apartment; Cutlery, crockery, pans and pots: all in adequate quantities.

Not happy:
No lift: day-to-day it ok, but carrying bags up and down is difficult as we did not have men in our company, just kids and not very young ladies.

Dishwasher was leaking: even after talking to the reception the plumber was not called, once the lady from reception went upstairs and run it herself, but we spend time every day, trying to dry a big and smelly puddle on the floor with towel, the wash the towel. couple of times we almost had a fall on the wet floor. Luckily nobody was hurt.

The fridge was smelly at the beginning. We had to give it thorough was before we could use it.

There was 3 rolls of toilet paper for the company of 6 people for 7 days. If we wanted more, we could buy it from the hotel. Never heard anything like that before!

The heated pool is quite small. When there are 5-6 kids, its ok, but more people and it is become practically unusable. The hotel allows jumping in the pool, which makes it worth and even dangerous at times then there are lots of people, as it is very easy for kids to jump on top of the other kid and anyone trying to swim, suppose to keep away in the area too swallow to swim. The other pool is unusable as it is not heated and too cold.

the 3 bedroom/ 2 bathroom apartment was spacious and plenty of room for 6 adults. the balcony was great for outdoor eating. The location was perfect within easy walking distance to the beach, the main shopping area and the marina area. A quiet area with good off street parking. A little dated but clean. the heated pool was lovely.
will definitely stay here again (for the 3rd time) when next in Port Douglas

Location - Location - Location.
This is now our 10th stay here and we honestly cannot recommend it highly enough. We travelled with 3 families this year and the facilities were just perfect for such a large group. The rooms were spacious and clean and wanted for nothing. We had 1 x 3 bedroom and 2 x 2 bedroom units for 14 people and we couldn't have been happier. The pools were fantastic for both the adults and kids, as was the BBQ area. Its only a very short walk to the beach and the Surf Club along with the restaurants in the main street. We cant wait to go back as a large group again next year. A big thanks to the managers, George and Traveen for again making us feel so welcome.

The Beach Terraces are an older block of apartments but clean and very professionally run by George and Treveen. There are two pools, one is heated and also a small pool for toddlers. It is very close to the beach and walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. We have stayed there several times. The bbq area is cleaned every day and is used by residents frequently. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else!

A great location and facilities. Every need was catered for with 3 pools and a large BBQ area. The rooms were well equipped with lots of storage, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. A fantastic place to stay if you would like to be near the beach.

The things we liked about our Accomodation at Beach Terraces was the fact that it was a clean & tidy, very comfortable apartment with under cover car park, close to all major amenities, shops restaurants etc, tours that can be organized on site and most importantly, only a stone’s throw from one of the best beaches in FNQ.
What more could you ask for !
Highly recommended.
Thank you George & Treveen for our lovely stay.
