The private rooms are massive, super clean, comfortable, and have everything you could need (fast wifi, great AC, coffee/tea, multiple sitting areas). I wish I had more time to really take advantage of the communal spaces (dining areas, living room/lounges, billiards, kitchen, etc). It is a quick 10-15 min walk into town and less than 5 to 4 mile beach. The team at Coral Beach is BEYOND helpful and friendly. They really went the extra mile to help me during my stay (Tom brought me his personal adaptor from home so I could charge my camera the next day!) and made me feel so welcome and comfortable. I would definitely recommend and hope to come back soon!

Wonderful managers, 15 min walk into town and restaurants, day trip driving distance to Cape Trib our 4 night stay that we extended to 6 nights was faultless. Relaxing atmosphere, 200m to Four Mile Beach, and wifi as good as at home (for those of us who take our work away with us!). There’s no better value in Port Douglas. Thank you and see you again next time we visit Port 😊

Expect a warm reception in cheerful and well located surroundings. Just five minutes walk to Four Mile beach or the local yacht club and ten minutes walk to the centre of Port Douglas. A real find!

The Coral Beach Lodge, being a former Youth Hostel, is typical of budget hostels in having the usual common areas, pool, kitchen, laundry and basic rooms. The owners were all friendly and helpful. Despite plenty of signs to remind guests to keep the kitchen etc. clean and tidy, those guests there at the same time as us still seemed to expect their mothers to pick up after them; one can feel for the owners, who still have to tidy up these people's messes.
The room was basic but clean and functional, although the need to leave the bathroom window permanently open (to avoid mould from the humidity) invited late-night noise into the room.
The Lodge is a 15-minute walk from town through a nice neighbourhood.

Booking our stay at the Coral Beach Lodge was a bit of a last minute thing and I must say that I was a bit dubious about the communal kitchen, but I was pleasantly surprised. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and our room was clean and a good size, which included an outdoor table and 2 chairs outside the sliding door at the back of the room. The pool was lovely! There was also a table tennis table and a pool table which we had a few games on. The communal kitchen was great as everyone was friendly and chatty with each other. I think this may be a back packers place as there were a lot of young travelers there. We did plan a barbecue for that night though, but the gas bottle was empty so we cooked it in the kitchen. They are building a bar there but it won't be ready until April. Overall, a nice place to stay and was only $99 for the night.

We love love loved staying here!

We were immediately welcomed for our one-night stop in Port Douglas by two knowledgeable, friendly faces on the front desk. We originally booked a twin room but we’re upgraded to a Queen without hesitation; thanks guys!

The room was clean, spacious and comfortable with a parking space right outside the front door.

The venue itself boasts a large lounge area, ping pong table and pool. There is a fully functioning kitchen for you to use too! There is a warm, relaxed feel to the place which we loved.

We felt really looked after here and we’re given some great recommendations by the staff for our upcoming trip to Cape Tribulation.

Thank you so very much and we will be back!

A Few Minutes after I arrived that evening and was greeted by the Receptionist she was warm and welcoming.
The room was clean and provided the basics needs being budget accommodation.
The location was close to all amenities. easy access to the Harbor and town facilities.
What I liked best about the Accommodation was That it was close to my next destination. what I liked least about it was the tables outside my room provided ash trays and as I opened the door there was a inflow of cigarette smoke . I was going to sit outside but the smoke was two strong .
Overall for a overnight stay it provided me comfort at budget prices with friendly staff.

The atmosphere at Coral Beach Lodge is so friendly and the manager, Kevin was extremely helpful and considerate. It was almost like staying in the middle of a rainforest - so restful and peaceful. Would love to come and stay for a whole week sometime soon.

Fantastic lodge! Tom & Kev are terrific and so accommodating! They are pleasant to everyone and even though there are some disrespectful guests, they try their hardest to get them to pick up their act so it doesn't affect others. Bonnie the friendliest dog at reception is gorgeous 🐶 and a bonus in my eyes 😊. Highly recommend.

The hostel was very big and the pool area was lovely. The two people on reception were really helpful and friendly. The room was nice and clean and it was cleaned daily. Each room also had their own hammock outside. Only downside was that the kitchen was filthy and it is also full of long term backpackers so not a sociable hostel to make friends but I only stayed for 3 nights.

Hi Alejandro, As you arrive in Cairns in the evening on a Thursday we do not have a free shuttle available until 11:00am on the Friday. Google Exemplar Coaches. This is an excellent shuttle service that cost $39.00 and should get you into Port Douglas that night. Please confirm with us if you expect to arrive late. Happy Travels Tom Quealy
