Port Douglas Motel is perfectly located. We are 2 minutes to Four Mile beach and only 150 metres to shops, restaurants and bars! Our retro and funky themed guestrooms have quality bedding and furnishings to a standard with ensuites, kitchenettes, tv's, dvd's, airconditioning and ceiling fans. Our extensive dvd library is for your use and enjoyment. A mid stay service is provided for stays of 7 days or more. Our facilities include not only a salt water swimming pool (free use of pool towels) but also a well appointed guests dining/kitchen with a barbeque and stove. The guests laundry has washing machine, clothes dryer and clothes line. We offer a great tour booking service and can arrange for your transfer to and from the Cairns Airport. Our facilities are excellent for long or short stays. Your stay is important to us. As owner operators we ask Try Us We Care!

My wife and I stayed at the Port Douglas Motel for 6 nights and it was absolutely fantastic. The room was clean and spacious. It has a full size fridge, Dining Table Couch and a comfy Queensize Bed. The actual location of the Motel is Central to Macrossan St. About a 5-10 minute walk to the Marina and Four mile Beach is closer. So for us no need for a car while staying in Port Douglas. The pool area is amazing with a large BBQ area and Electric Oven with Gas hot plates. There is a very well stocked Pantry plenty of plates, cutlery, saucepans, Frypans etc. Also plenty of tables to sit and eat and the area is under shade.
Also if you need any help with anything you only have to ask as I found the team Lilian, Jenny and Bernie incredibly helpful and very professional and friendly as well. We will most definately stay at the Port Douglas Motel again it’s also great value

This place is a Gem, very friendly & helpful staff, great rates for our 5-night stay, excellent bed, good size room, our room had a kitchen larger than normal fridge, microwave, crockery/ cutlery, great hot shower with good water pressure, it had an air conditioner and ceiling fan. It has a lovely pool area, an outdoor Kitchen and pantry, 1 washing machine and 1 dryer. As at 21/3/2023 you need to use six $1 for washing machine use. There are 2 clothes lines with pegs provided that we utilized, there is also a toilet in this area. The office has a large variety of Videos and also many leaflets to choose Tours. There is no House Keeping (you make the bed yourself each day) however if you need Milk/Coffee or Tea the office staff are more than happy to provide these items. The main street is a 5-minute walk, with lots of Eateries and reasonably priced Restaurants and Pubs. The Marina is a 10-minute walk. We would recommend the Port Douglas Motel.

Best value & cleanest accommodation in Port! We didn't want to splash out $300+ for an overnight stay which is typical in this tourist town, so we were pleasantly surprised to find this little gem at a very reasonable tarrif! The Port Douglas Motel is spotlessly clean, bright & very comfortable, and our room was surprisingly spacious with a sofa and dining table. It's in a great location for easy walking to the shops, restaurants and beach, and our room was super quiet at night time ensuring we had a restful sleep.

This funky little place is probably the best value in the tourist town of Port Douglas! This was our second stay here and we were again very happy. The motel is in a great central location, a very easy walk to Four Mile Beach, the shops & dining on Macrossan Street, and the Sunday markets. Our room was spotlessly clean and spacious, the towels were thick & fluffy, and the pool area was also immaculately clean. It is clear that the owners & managers take great pride in their service. The great off-street location makes it quiet at night, no traffic noise at all. Highly recommended & we'll be back again for sure!

3rd stay and always a delight. Lovely clean older style (retro themed) motel - units equipped with fridges, microwaves etc. The pool area has a bbq, oven and all utensils needed to prepare a full meal. Great central location - only 5 min stroll to Macrossan St’s shops, bars & restaurants, and a 10 min walk to Four Mile Beach. We’ll be back !!

We stayed here as a family of 3. The location is superb, close to the Macrossan street where the shops and restaurants are, and walking distance to the four mile beach. This was important to us as we could just walk with wet swimming trunks and sandy slippers back to motel for a shower. There is also a pool if you wish to scape the heat and cool down in the pool.
The room was spacious and clean. The fridge is big enough to fill with drinks and snacks. There is a microwave so we used it to warm up milk and etc. A couple of plates and forks and spoons are also available.
The only negative thing that I can say : there is no stove or cook top in the room. we almost ate out every day. At the end , I got sick of restaurant food, not mentioning that the cafes/restaurants are not cheap there. So if you visit port Douglas for a bit longer period , you’d probably keep this in mind.

We really enjoyed our stay at the motel. We got a friendly reception, from Lillian and Jenny. We had a downstairs room which large and airy. It tends to be filtered light due to surrounding palms (good for sleeping!). The room had a full fridge, crockery & cutlery, a microwave, toaster, comfy chairs and eating table. There were also a table & chairs on the patio. The air con was great, though we didn’t use it much (lots of opening windows). There is a couch and a good sized TV. For luggage there’s racks as well as a wardrobe with shelves. If you need it there’s a Laundry ($6 wash/dry (each)). However, things dry pretty quickly on the washing line. Cute pool area and outdoor kitchen. The only detractors were minor things, such as weak shower strength. Reduced service (due to Covid); once in a week. Quiet but there’s some noise from neighbouring resorts both sides & indoors can be echoey due to wood floors. Wifi limited & patchy. Ok for email. Nonetheless this is a terrific motel, in a great location - central to town & close to beach. Thanks all at PDM.

Never have I ever stayed at a hotel with such amazing hospitality and friendly staff. My girlfriend and I were originally going to stay one night there. After realising the incredible prices and the great conditions of rooms, shared areas and location we decided to extend our stay for another 2 nights and Jenny was great at accomodating this for us.
Moreover, during our checkout we realised it would be hard to find an Uber to go back to Cairns and both Jenny and Lucila offered their help and arranged a shuttle for us in just a couple of minutes.
I work in the hospitality industry myself and this is probably the best experience I have ever seen and received. I highly recommend this place and will definitely stay here again when I go back to Port Douglas!

I would highly recommend staying here at the Port Douglas Motel the rooms are spotlessly clean, plenty of room bright and fitted out with everything you need. we loved the retro furniture! the pool are was perfect for this size Motel. Great location 5 min walk to the famous 4 Mile Beach and 5 min walk to Macrossan St where you will find all the fabulous restaurants, bars and cafes. The Bakery is a must. yum!
