I stayed at the Oaks and really enjoyed the experience. The reception and housekeeping staff were very friendly, informative, attentive and helpful. My apartment was large, very clean, well appointed and had good amenities. The king bed was very comfortable. I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud and was well rested. The apartment was well sound insulated and blocked out the outside noise. The air conditioning was excellent and kept the room cool. Bathroom was very clean and the shower pressure was excellent. The location was great as the Oaks was right in the middle of the CBD and was a few minutes walk to Queen Street Mall and major office buildings and a few minutes by car to the entertainment district. The cafe next door to the hotel had good breakfast options and check out was a breeze. I would enjoy staying here again and rate it highly. Thank you to the staff for making my stay a very enjoyable one.

Morning staff, the girls were lovely. Night staff we were not. More focused on training someone new. Over all average.
Hallways had a putrid smell, constantly trying to hold our breath when waiting for elevator.
Bed was great to sleep on except you could tell the cleaning staff didn’t actually put new sheets on. Hair and dirty foot print once you pulled the cover back. Easy to brush off and spray with glen 20.
Disappointed that we’re weren’t informed about the night works going on, we were up most of the night. Would have been nice to be told on website before booking.
Also oaks needs to work more collaborative with booking.com to ensure that all details passed on are correct. We asked for an early checkin and weren’t told about the extra fee that came with it, so had to opt out and wonder around all day.

We stayed here in 1-bedroom apartment since Wednesday till Saturday and we were disappointed with cleaning service. On Friday the cleaning service came at 7 pm! Just few minutes later when we came home and were changing clothes. I asked just to bring fresh towels and take rubbish because there was no way for us to disappear so they could clean the room. Guess no cleaning service, no vacuuming for Thursday and Friday. On Saturday the cleaning lady came at 3.40 pm again just few minutes later we entered our apartment and were going to have some food. We asked her to come in 30 minutes, so we had our food and left the apartment to let her clean it. We came 7pm and saw the apartment the same condition we left it. The cleaning service didn't come, we called to reception and the answered the service finished for today, no excuse, nothing!
Some more negative facts about this Oaks apartments: the washing machine was dirty, I didn't risk to wash my clothes there. The gas stove didn't function good, before the fire appeared I tried to fire it for several times and felt strong smell of gas. The cooker hood was dirty, sticky and very weak. There is no air fan in the bathroom saw it stays humid after you have shower. The lap pool is dirty, after I swam the pool 1 time I saw rubbish on the bottom of the pool. It was disgusting.
The good thing about this Oaks: good location and reasonable price.

Booked a two bedroom unit checked in then got up to our room to find second bedroom was locked and where told we would have to wait a while for someone to come unlock and it wouldn’t be anytime soon. Which meant we had to wait for them because we came straight from work and required 2 more towels to all have showers and get ready for dinner. It then became to late and we missed our dinner reservation.

I stayed at the Oaks Apartments with family during the Christmas and New Year period. On arrival, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, setting the scene for a great stay.
The apartments are located in the heart of Brisbane with restaurants, coffee shops and a large shopping centre and cinema just a few minutes walk away. In the foyer, there were plenty of comfortable chairs and the entrance area was welcoming.
We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment with a view over the city and Brisbane River. The kitchen was a good size and the bedrooms were reasonably apportioned and offered a good night's sleep. Although the main living area and balcony were big enough for three adults, the photos made the space look larger than was actually the case.
On the fifth floor there was a small pool and barbeque area. We did not use the facility but it was popular with younger families. There were loungers available but due to the location in the city, the pool area was shaded during most of the afternoon.
The apartments also have a fairly well equipped fitness room with two treadmills, a rowing machine and multi-gym. These remained quiet during the stay. There was also an indoor lane-swimming pool which appeared to be used regularly but was not particularly busy.
Housekeeping was available to clean the apartment every day and the standard of cleanliness was good. The washing machine and tumble drier were excellent, despite turning the bathroom into a Turkish bath; this had no adverse impact at all to our stay.
Overall, I would definitely recommend the apartments; a larger pool would have made the stay perfect but this in no way detracted from our holiday.

My family is coming to visit me from overseas and is staying in Brisbane for two whole weeks. They gave me a list of places there interested in staying at in the city and asked if i could have a look for them and pick the best one as I live in Brisbane. I went to many Oaks properties "well dressed" for a viewing of their rooms accompanied with a staff member and no problem. When I arrived at Oaks Charlotte Towers front desk, they had no customers. A young girl working there said to me rudely "we don't show people rooms, go on our website you can look at the pictures.
I said thank you I'll keep looking around and I left. I walked up the street to another hotel "I won’t name" and was greeted with two very friendly staff at the desk and they had customers. They politely ask if I could wait a few minutes and they would show me some rooms. A man took me up and showed me 4 different room options they had. Because of this hotel’s friendliness and great customer services I booked one of their most expensive $$$$ rooms for my family to stay on their two-week holiday in Brisbane.
I would not recommend Oaks Charlotte Towers and I didn't even get past the lobby, thank god. Don't waste your money here. There are much better options, with much better customer service in Brisbane CBD. Be WARNED

From our early arrival, where we were able to store our luggage, to the 5 pm checkout ($80 fee), we were more than happy with our stay.
Friendly, helpful staff & an excellent location with a 5 to 10 minute walk to the Myer Centre, eateries & attractions.
The apartments are large and well furnished & the beds are always comfortable.
Oaks on Charlotte is the only place I stay when visiting Brisbane.

A lovely central location. Close to dining and shopping options. Close to Queen Street mall, central train station, bus stations. A short still to Eagle Street Pier or Southbank. The staff were all very friendly and helpful to ensure a pleasant stay. The apartment was clean and furnished with comfortable chairs and beds. We were lucky to stay on the 43rd floor overlooking the river towards the story bridge. A lovely view to sit on the balcony and eat meals or just enjoy a cup of tea and take in the view, The two bedroom unit had comfortable beds. You can choose to have king beds in both rooms or a king and 2 single bed combination. If you needed a further bed for children a fold out bed could easily be fitted in the apartment. There were two bathrooms, one being an ensuite off one bedroom and the other being a full bathroom and also the laundry facilities. Both bathrooms had good sized showers, a vanity unit with storage space and a toilet. The laundry facilities included a washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board. The full sized kitchen had a full sized fridge, hotplate, under bench oven, microwave, dishwasher and cultery and crockery to cook for yourself if you chose to. The beds and pillows were comfortable, something that is hard to find when travelling. Parking was available if needed for a fee within the complete. The carpark was easy to navigate and easy to park in. A small gym and a reasonably sized lap pool were available to guests as well as an outdoor pool (not heated) and barbecues. A very peaceful and pleasurable stay. We would stay again

I stayed here for two nights on a family holiday. We particularly chose a suite as we have a 3 year old daughter and wanted her to have her own room, and we also wanted our own kitchen.
Pros: The location is excellent, a couple of minutes to the best shops and restaurants in Brisbane. The room size was good to. It has a great little kitchen and laundry - perfect if you're staying with one or two kids. Staff were friendly and polite. Good price for what you get.
Cons: By chance, I discovered that the room was very unclean. My daughter had grabbed a card out of my wallet and we were trying to find it so had to move the chairs and couch and the bed in her room to see if it had fallen under. We discovered beer bottle caps and used napkins under the furniture. I put the beer caps on the coffee table and left the chairs so that the napkin was visible and went to front desk to inform them. The person I spoke to was very kind and helpful and said he would send house keeping up right away. We went out to the shops and when we got back, my daughter immediately went to the coffee table and picked up the beer caps which were still there. I grabbed them off her and noticed the napkin was still there.
Maybe we were just the unlucky ones as most other aspects of our stay were fine and if my card hadn't been dropped by chance, we wouldn't have been moving the furniture and probably would have been none the wiser, but at the end of the day, it was a pretty gross experience and we'll probably choose to stay elsewhere next time.
