We needed to grab a quick dinner on the run and this pub was on our way!!! We were all very surprised by what a great venue it was!!! Staff were very friendly and helpful and our meals were all delicious!! I had the lamb curry special and it was just soooo good!!! We sat in the restaurant part out the back! Would definitely eat here again if ever in the area!!!

Have an allergy to onions, so very careful checking whether they could cook a meat lovers pizza without. Barman took order and No Onions repeated three times. Delivered with onions. Took back to chef and he said nog stated on computer slip - I did not lose it; these things happen. Chef volunteered to remake and I had no problem waiting the extra ten minutes. Tasty pizza delivered. Though why they had to add four pieces of gristle, I don’t know. I was chilled, polite and patient. What will they add to your meal? Spit, w**k? Staff need a severe talking to. Over to you, Ms/ Mr Manager.

Had lunch there yesterday and tried the steak sandwich. Pretty everage - steak was tough and undercooked for a sandwich (hard to eat like that). Wine prices were high - I think the cheapest bottle was around $40. Too high for a pub. I don't think we will hurry back.

I have eaten here quite a few times however I ate here twice today. Our lunch was 50 minutes late. The waitress obviously tried to fix this up for us with the manager which was nice and give me a $30 voucher. I used the voucher tonight and had the toughest rib fillet (more like chick /oyster blade.

Had dinner there and happy hour twice. Ordered steak and chicken nibbles and chips. Tasted great. Good range of beer. Staff were okay - the girl on the bar wasn't very friendly. She served us a glass of flat beer and argued that it wasn't flat when there were clearly no bubbles present. We didn't bother to argue. Overall though great pub food with good value for money and prompt service. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Pre-ordered so was served quite quickly on our arrival, service was good and food was also good for a pub lunch. I would have given a 4 rating but took a point off as there was 12 of us wanted to order a dessert but they did not have any available.

Hi The friendly helpful staff made such a difference to our holiday stay here at Brisbane. The hotel is situated in such a busy central location, with this in mind it astonished me how the staff go out of their way to help! I have been touring the East Coast of Australia in my high top camper ;) and can highly recommend a visit here! Thanks again D Connely and Rheya :)

Wow, when you walk in, it's grand!! You're met with a sweeping staircase and grandeur. Mood lighting, large floor space and plenty of tables. Out the back is the restaurant which is also large with indoor or outdoor undercover semi enclosed eating space. Food was exceptional. Plenty of Gluten Free options. Will definitely be back here.

I had the orange roughy (pearl couscous, roast veg, macadamia) for $20 and my husband had the beef brisket nachos for $17. Absolutely the best quality and value that I have had at those prices. Beautifully cooked, and the flavours were perfect. I would recommend this place to anyone.

My wife and I ate at The Transcontinental last night. The beer selection is very wide ranging and I found a number of decent brews to keep me cool. My wife was more than happy with the house Sav Blanc she drank. Feeling in the mood for simple but comforting food, we both selected the lamb sausages from the ample menu. They were delicious, and came with salald, mashed potatoes, and gravy - and it was all very well presented. The meal was excellent, and very good value too. Recommended for food and/or drinks.
