Oaks Brisbane on Felix Suites stands out for its superb location, with easy access to the city's amenities and vibrant nightlife, although guests should be mindful of potential construction noise. While the staff is frequently lauded for their friendliness, some guests have faced slow service. The hotel's facilities, including the pool and lifts, could benefit from some upkeep. Opinions on the rooms are divided; they offer impressive views and are generally clean, but their dated condition has been a point of contention. Additionally, the value proposition is criticized due to pricey parking and the need for room updates.

Efficient and friendly staff and allowed us an early check in. Location is excellent and the beds are extremely comfortable. The size of the two bed apartment was impressive and the views up and down the Brisbane river were tremendous. Swimming pool and jacuzzi were really clean and well maintained. Woukd definitely recommend.

We stayed here in a 2 bedroom apartment on the 15th floor in room 153 for 16 nights. Well equipped with everything you and more.
The staff on reception were very accommodating and helpful, especially Brooke and Toni. Staff arranged taxis for us to explore further down the coast.
We had an amazing view of the river, Eagle St Pier and Story Bridge. The free ferry to South Bank goes from Eagle St Pier often (Red city hopper).
The restaurants around the hotel were reasonably priced and we enjoyed The Bavarian restaurant menu. Others I’d recommend include The Buffalo, Morrison’s and the Pizzeria at Eagle St Pier.
Location to Queen St mall is 3 blocks and about a 10 minute walk, but the red and blue route free loop buses are available to use if you don’t want to walk and stop at many of the tourist spots in the city.
Our trip was cut short due to the Coronavirus but we will definitely go back to this hotel.

Very friendly staff on reception. Location is great – 2 minute walk to Eagle Street Pier. Stayed for 4 nights paid for 1 Bed executive apartment (number 205) river view. The view was fantastic looking towards Story Bridge. Apartment was clean, kitchen well stocked with utensils etc, room service daily included bed making, change of towels, replenish dishwasher and washing machine powder. Air con in lounge area and bedroom. Powerful shower was good with plenty of water pressure. No noise heard from any other apartments adjoining or above or from the street below. No smoking allowed on balconies which is great as you can sit out to eat a meal or just enjoy the view without it being spoilt by breathing in someone else’s second hand smoke. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to my friends and relatives.

We believe our stay was not worth the money. Upon arrival we were checked in with strict house rules that weren't stated in the bookings process although we had read the house rules provided prior to finalising our booking. By this point it was too late to cancel our booking without having to pay the total amount. Entering the property we were welcomed with a damp musty smell. The apartment had some amazing views and a nice layout but other than that, the apartment was quite underwhelming for the price we paid. Our room had no housekeeping which we understood prior to booking. Our expectation with this in mind was that we would have adequate resources available to combat this. But no, there were no spare towels, toiletries, cloths to wipe down surfaces or spare bin liners available. We either had to request or purchase these items and get them ourselves. The sound insulation of the property left us stepping on eggshells our entire stay as you could hear the mumblings of private conversations in our apartment when stood in the main public hallway. Overall it has a great location, views, size and layout, but it is definitely not worth the amount we paid. Our circumstances made us feel as if we were left without a choice so it was hard to make the most of our stay.

Room was clean, spacious, practical and very livable. The bed was extremely comfy. Air con in the main living area and also the bedroom which was very much appreciated in the heat of summer. Expect a bit of noise from the local establishments at night. Some minor things in the room were worn, tired and needed updating, like the ceiling fan in the bedroom that was wobbling more than a drunk in one of the local pubs. The biggest letdown, hmm...the toilet paper was CRAP! Seriously, take your own if you visit this place otherwise you are flirting with danger!

The room I was placed - the front door didn't lock, reception said he would fix it with a screw, I didn't feel safe in a room that wasn't locking, even if he could fix it. I also booked a room with a river view and this did not have one. I requested to be moved based on the door and he said no, it can be fixed. I also requested to be moved because of the view I paid for and didnt receive. He moved me to another room, where the towels had stains on them, the bedroom floor was covered in crumbs and the pillow was stained/mouldy. I had originally booked the Aurora because it was the best view of the bridge but needed to be moved due to the air-conditioning being fixed, I paid just as much for a subpar room.

Dear stephburfield, Thank you for taking the time to provide valuable feedback regarding your recent stay. I am disappointed to hear your stay fell short of your expectations. I would like to apologise that we had to move you from Oaks Aurora, however they did have emergency A/C repairs that needed to take place throughout the entire building. Unfortunately we were at full occupancy on the Saturday night during your stay. When you reported the maintenance issue to reception he was more than happy to fix this for you. Once you reported that you had requested a river view, the staff member then moved some bookings around to get you into the correct room type. I can't see that reception were then notified that you had any further issues during your stay. Please keep in mind that had reception been notified we could have organised housekeeping to come up and rectify these issues in the new apartment. I understand that moving hotels isn't ideal, however we do try to cater to these situations the best we can. I hope that we have the opportunity to welcome you back again soon for a more memorable stay. Kind regards,

We spent a few days here over new years and it was the perfect spot to see Brisbane.

We had a 2 bedroom apartment on the 36th floor so the views out to the Story Bridge were amazing both from the bedrooms and the balcony.

The hotel is nicely positioned in the city so it's a short walk to the main malls and there are lots of places to eat within 5 mins.

The bathrooms and kitchen are well laid out and functional and the in room laundry facilities are great.

The pool/spa area is small but nice and I saw a gym there too. The staff were all really helpful and polite

The only disappointing thing is the price of the parking. It's $35 per night to leave the car in the carpark and I understand that this is quite the standard in the city but the cost of 3 nights really hits when we could have easily spent that money in the city or even towards another night there.

Our 2 bedroom apartment was good value. It was modern, fairly clean, and roomy enough for the 4 of us. Great air conditioning. Great location. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Bedrooms and bathrooms had a fair bit of wear and tear. Curtains have holes in them, bathroom has water damage, walls and doors have severe scuff marks, plaster and paint missing. Unfortunately it was situated close to the 'garbage shute' on our floor which stunk profusely for the whole 4 days of our stay. Staff were helpful in spraying some air-freshener but this was not effective. The smell was relentless and could be smelt from inside our apartment. Pool & pool area was small and always too crowded. Probably wont choose this hotel again.

My friends and I had a wonderful stay in the city, and our accommodation at Oaks on Felix Street was pivotal to that. We were really wowed by our room, and the manner of every staff member was unfailingly friendly, efficient and thoroughly professional. The location is outstanding - so close to the river, Eagle Street Pier, restaurants, and handy too to the city centre and South bank. Highly recommended!
