The Hotel Grand Chancellor Brisbane is frequently lauded for its serene atmosphere and comfortable furnishings, although its aesthetic may strike some as somewhat uninspired. Guests consistently praise the hotel's cleanliness and the staff's attentive service, while the value for money is generally appreciated, despite occasional inconsistencies. Nestled in a central location, the hotel is conveniently close to attractions, although the approach includes a steep hill. Great location next to beautiful Roma Street park and on the free Spring Hill bus loop. We had a lovely city view from our balcony on the tenth floor, the room was a good size, especially for a city hotel. It was also quiet. The king size bed was comfortable, there was also a sofa and coffee table. The shower was a good size with 2 glass shelves to hold soap and shampoo bottles etc. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Dinner was also lovely with a good selection on the menu, we especially liked the offer of 2 or 3 courses for a set price, this included a side dish and a drink. All the staff we met were lovely and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We asked for extra hangers for our clothes and they appeared almost immediately.
Any negatives? Nothing springs to mind that bothered us, if I was being really picky then I would have liked a mirror in the bedroom.

Staying in the Superior King Suite at the Hotel Grand Chancellor Brisbane truly felt like a home away from home—such a comforting and welcoming feeling when traveling. The suite is spacious, beautifully designed, and offers a level of coziness that makes it easy to relax and unwind. Waking up to stunning city views from the private balcony was a real treat!

One of the highlights of my stay was definitely the brunch—delicious, generous, and perfectly complemented by refreshing cocktails. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic or something a little more indulgent, there’s something for everyone.

I also had the pleasure of trying the new dinner menu, and I have to say, it’s outstanding! Huge thanks to the chef for crafting such an incredible experience. My personal favorites? The baked goat cheese to start—rich, creamy, and full of flavor. For the main course, the chicken was cooked to perfection, and to finish, the chocolate cake was simply divine!

I can’t wait to return! Thank you very much!!

I highly recommend this hotel! We had an incredible time. Everything was perfect, from the room and the quality of the furnishings (the bed was incredibly comfy, and the shower products smelled divine) to the location, which is ideally situated in town. The restaurant served delicious meals for both breakfast and dinner; I especially loved the chocolate mousse! Thank you so much, and I can't wait to return!

My room had a lovely city view and was well furnished. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They stored my luggage before check-in for several days and after check-out as well, which facilitated my exploration of Brisbane and other parts of Australia without excess luggage.

Perfect Location. Hotel was steps from the St Andrews War Memorial hospital for this unplanned extended medical stay.
Reception and managerial staff were patient, kind and professional in assisting us with our stay. The double room we had was a reasonable good size with 2 queen beds.
The restaurant and bar facilities were very good with just a good number of menu items available for dining as well as room service.
The buffet breakfast provided a reasonably good variety of food choices.
Housekeeping staff were kind and courteous and always happy to assist with extra items as required.
Guest laundry facilities located on floors 5 and 9 were great especially for our extended stay and not expensive.
Security was good with a key card required to use the lift to access all floors.

The hotel location is good from the perspective of being close to Roma St Station and the CBD, but it is on a very steep hill, so be warned if you have walking difficulties or are planning on exploring a lot by foot. You can take a shortcut through the Roma St Parklands if you don't mind steps or steep slopes. We were travelling with 2 small children and arrived into Roma St so it was a tough and sweaty journey from the station!
We did find out the is a free bus that loops round the hotel area, central station and cbd... but om the last day of our stay... oops! Advertisement for this from the hotel would be good. It was still a short walk up a very steep hill from the closest bus stop.

The rooms are very nicely decorated and clean. The bathroom was on the smaller side but again was very nice. There was a fridge, kettle, hairdryer, iron and good quality tea/coffee/hot chocolate, milk in the fridge and always restocked. A cot was provided for our baby which was decent. The seating area in the room was nice but a shame it didn't face the TV. The balcony was nice but there was no furniture so nowhere to sit, strange.

There is a rooftop pool and gym. The gym is ok, the equipment could do with being updated it was quite old. The pool was on the small side, but nice and there were a few nice sun loungers.
Our main issue with the pool was that you had to catch the loft to floor 11, but then take a couple of flights of stairs to get to the rooftop area. No access for disabled people that we could see... and awkward with our stroller having to carry it up the stairs so our baby could rest!

The bar was nice, we had some nice drinks and food at happy hour. There was someone performing live music on a Friday and Saturday.

There is a self serve laundry which we used. Front desk gave us some free wash powder. It was reasonable too.

I don't think we'll stay again due to the hill location, but that's a personal preference and not an issue if you have a car. Otherwise a good hotel for business or leisure trips to Brisbane.

Have stayed here twice, great value for money. However second time round parking was extra cost. Was only $30 extra for a Friday night and considering the affordable price of the room was quite happy to pay it, I think if you stay over the weekend parking may be free.
Rooms were clean and we had the buffet breakfast the next morning which was good, nothing flash but served its purpose.
Close to Roma street station and there’s a lovely park across the road which the kids enjoyed the next day.
Will definitely stay again

First room had noise from the pool machinery, second room had noise from the function rooms. Then the cleaners are vacuuming outside my door at 6:30. Breakfast was at the low quality end of typical buffet breakfasts. No a la carte option. Overpriced.

Air NZ cancel the flight from GCA to NZ. They take us to the hotel by bus which including the passengers that were meant to fly including us. When we arrived at the hotel. Luckly, we don't need to pay for the rooms it was provide by the Air NZ and gave us pizza, the only thing we paid to the hotel was security bonds. The room that I was in was comfortable especially the bed it was big for one person.

Booked in for one night as it offered the location we wanted and free secure booking when transiting through Brisbane. Seamless friendly and very helpful check in.
Room was a good size, nicely furnished and the bed very comfortable. Lovely view over park to river.
Shared two entrees and a glass of wine in the restaurant as we were walking to Botanic Gardens. Food was excellent and portion sizes perfect.
Breakfast was a pleasant relaxed affair.
Will definitely stay in the future.
