Punthill Apartments in Springhill is a great location for travellers who are looking to explore Brisbane on foot. 10 minutes to the river and it's many eateries and bars, the free Hopper boat service takes you to a number of locations on the North and South Banks. The City is wonderful, buzzing, with a dramatic skyline and is very clean. One of my favourite Cities in the world! Punthill Apartments offer covered secure parking which is reasonably priced and very useful for those out of city visits where you are best having a car.

Chose Punthill because of its location, previous good reviews and good price. Was very please overall. The location allows walking to both the CBD (15 mins) and Fortitude Valley ( 20-25 mins) for nightlife. Communication was very good regarding obtaining a code for the key box , as I was arriving after 9pm when reception is unmanned, so this was no problem. Staff were always very friendly and helpful. I did not try the cafe next door for breakfast but the coffee was good and it seemed to be very popular. The room itself was absolutely fine with an adequate kitchen area and comfortable bed. I was on the 3rd floor and had no issues with noise either from the street or other rooms. Having daily housekeeping is a bonus in a property of this nature. The only real negative was problems with the one lift, which was out of service on 2 occasions during my 6 nights. Carrying luggage from the 8th floor could have been a problem. I generally visit Brisbane every year and like to try different places to stay but I will consider returning here for my next visit if I can get the same deal.

We had a large room with a king-size bed and another smaller bed at opposite sides of the room. The wardrobe space was generous with an iron, ironing board and a fold out drier. The living area had a good size desk and table and the kitchen area was good. There was a large fridge, microwave and a two plate hob with enough cutlery and crockery for three people and sufficient pots and pans to cook most things. Sometimes I could get the dishwasher to work and sometimes I couldn’t-an instruction book would be useful. There was a balcony but we didn’t use it because it just looks onto the back of other buildings and there was a swimming pool which again we didn’t use. Its location is relatively near the main station and shopping area but it’s an uphill walk on the way back. It was a good place to spend a few days with the extra space you gain over an ordinary hotel room.

King studio room was large with balcony and decent furnishings and kitchenette facilities (fridge, microwave, 2-top stove, toaster, saucepan, dishwasher). Easy walk into the CBD and near metro station and grocery store. Pool and outdoor exercise area were nice. Communal laundry room is the minor downside. Very cheaply priced, especially considering the good quality of the room facilities (I’ve stayed in smaller rooms which only had a bed and a kettle for 1.5x the price). Overall - a very pleasant stay, easily liveable for longer trips (2+ weeks)

If someone is coming for holidays this location is perfect for accessing all the main attractions. There are restaurants nearby. Rooms are nice and kitchenette s also good. There are some free parking spots around the area but because it is the main city so spots are not always free. Paid parking is available in] for punthill guests and it is also available nearby.

Stayed for 4 weeks over Christmas and New Year with my partner visiting his family. First impressions of the room were very good. Spacious room, well appointed and clean. There was a fridge freezer,microwave, kettle, toaster and 2 ring electric hob in the rooms kitchenette. A small oven would be an advantage but not a necessity as there are several restaurants nearby. The air conditioning worked well and the large wall mounted TV ideal for catching up with news etc or for listening to music on the radio channels. The pool was fairly small but a great place to relax beside and we had the whole pool area to ourselves on the days we went down there. My initial impressions did not change. The whole stay was good, I agree with other reviewers that the place is tired but after speaking with the manager we found out that it is due for upgrade soon. The reception staff Marc and Yan were pleasant, helpful and friendly. We had a couple of minor issues both of which they dealt with and resolved quickly and efficiently. The only negative thing I can say about it is the lift is very slow and with10 floors to serve this did mean on occasions there was a lengthy wait for it to arrive on our floor. Hopefully this will be resolved with the upgoing redecorations. There is a laundry room on the 1st floor with washing machine’s available for a small cost (4AUD) and a clothes aired in the room (along with a iron and ironing board) which fits easily onto the balcony so the washing dries quickly.

Maddy the Hotel Manager was exceptional, we are late arrival and the instruction is on point! she upgraded our room for free of charged plus she'd given us discounted car parking and a clear directions from where the grocery store to liquor store and shopping area, she also sent us the cooking and kitchen items even after hours. I definitely enjoyed my stay here , it's just 4 days but worth paying than any 5 star hotels. Rooms were sparkling clean and service every 2 days. Pool is a plus in a sunny Brisbane. One thing that only annoys us, were the rubbish collection at 6 in the morning and the construction on level 2, cafe is closed because of the covid but other than that , everything is perfect! We're planning to visit again by mid of June . 100% recommended!

Room clean and per expectations, however appalling service provided by hotel staff. After hours access key provided via lockbox with code giving us access to someone else's apartment (no ours). Had to code our own key over the phone to our apartments and physically find the person whose key we were provided and give it to them. No assistance provided on site - they would not sedn someone out to sort out the issue. These are serviced apartments - they have reduced reception hours, particularly on weekends and their online people are in a call centre in another city and really cannot assist if you have issues at Punthill (not their fault). If you are going to charge hotel prices you need to service it accordingly. Terrible experience. Terrible management.

We understand the importance of a smooth check-in and apologies that you were not able to access one of your apartments outside of reception hours. After further investigation, it appeared that some other guests illegally tampered with the key box, hence there were the issues with keys went missing and wrong keys were collected, along with the miscommunication during the booking process for early check in related request, and the after-hours service. We are sincerely sorry for the inconvenience and the experience that you have had during your stay with us due to the unfortunate events happened all at once. We can promise that this is just a one time and should not happen again in the future. We arrived early in the morning after a long flight fr9m London via Singapore, although our room wasn’t ready we were allowed to leave our bags in a nearby room. Jet lagged, we plodded off to kill time in the city. We were delighted to get a text message at about 9am saying the room is ready. Room was large with a balcony, kettle, toaster. Very large comfortable bed. Pool nice although a little on the cool side.

it was very bad by the end. Room was good size, enough room and it had the things i wanted in it. bed was okay, it had a stain on sheet location was good, close to city bed had brown stain on the top of it towards the left side of the bed, but i did not notify staff about this. there was multiple cockroaches that I had spotted in the room during my stay, i notified staff of this on the morning of my final day, they had said they had a routine spraying 1-2 weeks ago so that is normal and nothing to do about it. I then had to suggest they let the cleaner know as thats not something anyone will say is acceptable for a hotel, only then did they add a note to check the room. I then asked if I can change my room and was told thats not available, and if i wanted to stay another night it would cost full price. Then i asked to just finish my stay and request for a refund of any kind for this incident and un-helpful staff experience. I was told no and the manager said they will not do anything and I can just leave at the end of my stay, the manager never came to talk to me and it was an employee going into the back office and coming back with the message from the "manager". i found this quite uncooperative as I gave possible options that could work for me such as extending at a discount even, or getting a room change. But i was told simply there wasn't anything that they wanted to do about it. I wish to get my money back for this situation as I really had a good relationship with punthill as I have stayed in Melbourne there multiple times and suggested to friends and family. However I do not think I want to come back to any punthill again, and will not be telling anyone to stay here anymore. No management or manager contacted me in any way when I had asked multiple times to talk to someone and get a solution. I was sent a message from punthill that Kurt Hartman the Hotel Manager discussed with me. I do not know who “Kurt Hartman” is and they have never talked to me about anything. I am still to await a response from anyone. I came to this hotel to use a room with facilties that they have said they have and a standard of cleanliness, I understand sometimes mistakes can happen but this is a hotel business, and when an issue occurs they should fix the issue. I was told that I can just leave after my stay. The way I was treated was unacceptable and I’m never coming back.
