Detailed Reviews
I booked a single room during my stay in Brisbane. The hotel’s location is accessible to the train station, parks, and walking distance to food hubs and restaurants. My room was a bit more pricey compared to other hotels I looked into but pretty decent. However, my worst experience was when loud noise coming from other guests — a group of people who checked in in the middle of the night. I tried to complain but hotel staff did not do anything about it.

Very centrally located with surprisingly comfortable beds. Lockers right next to the beds in dorms were great. Welcome drinks on the day of check in and other events put on by the hostel were really fun.
Dorm looked much, much darker IRL than on the photos - there was virtually no natural light. Kitchen area is also dark and on the small side. But good overall!

I have to say that I am quite impressed with my stay. I stayed in a 6-share dorm. It is obvious that a lot of thought has gone into the design of the room and beds. It is refreshing to stay in a hostel that has individual privacy curtains, power, storage, and a comfortable mattress and pillow. There is also a little ledge to place your devices on while charging which is nice.
The staff were friendly and the food was tasty as well! I just wish there was a location in Sydney?
Thank you and I will definitely be back the next time I visit Brisbane!

I’m incredibly disappointed as I was looking forward to my stay at Selina!
I booked a 4 bed community room as a female as I was under the impression the room consisted of bunks with a curtain for privacy, private locker and PowerPoint but on arrival my room consisted of one bunk as displayed in the pictures you see online and then 2 single beds without lockers or curtains.
I was the last to arrive to my room so didn’t get one of the bunks, not a huge deal but very disappointing and false advertisement. As for private lockers only the bunk beds consisted of one otherwise the room didn’t have another locker for my personal valuables. The bed only comes with a fitted and flat sheet and you do not receive towels although when booking towels and linen were listed as an included amenity. I think queried and was told I had to pay $5 per towel on a positive note I showed my booking and was then offered a free one, the young man was very helpful. After receiving the towel I then found a black hair possibly pubic or hair from head (I’m blonde so not mine) in the towel and stains as though it hadn’t been washed.
One last thing that was disappointing but not a big deal I never received my free drink on arrival that is advertised everywhere when you book nor any mention of it once I arrived.
Photos are of the bed some of you will actually receive and if you zoom on the towel you see the hair.
Highly recommend paying a lil extra and staying somewhere else

Excellent. Highly recommend. 10/10. Staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. The hostel is very tidy and clean and the rooms are brilliant especially the dorms when sharing with friends. The location is also very good located in the centre of Brisbane with everything in walking distance.

the picture is inaccurate. the rooms do not have a fridge or TV. they do provide tea and coffee but not milk.I had an ensuite. But essentially it is a hostel for backpackers and travellers. They have a kitchen to cook own food. The Bar provides good food also. Breakfast included is a drink and one meal choice ie Eggs Benedict etc.

Selina is a very clean hostel in a great location. I stayed in a 4 bed dorm which was really nice and good aircon. There is a fantastic wellness class run most days by Heidi which are incredibly relaxing with a positive and friendly atmosphere which she creates with her great experience. I would highly recommend them! It could be a little more social but there is welcome drinks run on the first evening. Overall would recommend

Stayed here for 3 nights and the room did not look like the pictures. We had an en-suite and the bathroom felt dirty. The kitchen area was tiny and smelled probably due to the fridge not working. There were flies and the kitchen was very dirty. Had very weird vibes from the other guests who were older men was definitely not a backpacker hostel. Nearest laundry was an 15 minute walk. All round a bad experience, would not recommend!

Selina Brisbane Hostel exceeded my expectations in every way, and one of the key reasons was the exceptional service provided by Nahel, a staff member who made my stay truly memorable. Nahel's friendly and helpful demeanor added a special touch to my visit. The hostel itself was clean and stylish, offering a comfortable and convenient place to stay in the heart of Brisbane. I highly recommend this hostel for a fantastic travel experience!
