The service from house keeping to restaurants, the Eagles nest and Lamberts restaurant was perfect. Everyone was so happy and friendly nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was 100% . Thanks for looking after us Joe. Will spread the word.

The staff at The Point were fantastic. They were warm, friendly and efficient, and moved me to another room immediately when I was a bit disappointed with first impressions. The beds are super comfy, the Chromecasting was convenient and the views from the rooftop bar are incredible. I also loved that the balcony suite had a bath.
Ignore reviews that say this is 'like a 5-star hotel', and the great photography on the website which provides that impression: this is essentially an apartment hotel, so don't go looking for luxury. Things are very clean but a bit scuffed, and the rooms are a bit soulless. Having said that, with the curtains open on all sides my room was beautiful and bright, with a view to the river from the end of the balcony.
If you're averse to noise, ask for a room facing the dockside ferry station, which is further away from the major road and the bridge. I had no problem with sleeping with the doors of my balcony suite closed.
In terms of location, I'm a bit confused by the reviews that say this is conveniently located. I really didn't find that, and found the surrounding neighbourhood pretty 'meh' (except for Christian Jacques Artisan Boulanger, which is a short walk to the start of the bridge and down a few stairs: worth every step - exceptional french pastries!) It's within walking/scooting/riding distance to Newfarm and easy walking distance to some great watering/dining spots at Howard Smith Wharves under the Story Bridge (Felens etc) but it's a bit of hassle to get across to the CBD and Southbank unless you want to get around by car/Uber/taxi, especially when it's hot.
$50 taxi to the airport, or $15 to Central Station where you can get the airtrain (took 10 mins to drive there).
All in all I'd say this is great value if you're not fussed about location and your expectations aren't too high. The rooms are clean, the staff lovely and the views from the roof a bonus.

After reading so many glowing reviews and with a current TA Traveller’s Choice award, I had high expectation and was disappointed. This is a mid range hotel with bland and soulless rooms. I have stayed in many, many better 4 star hotels. The foyer is the most upmarket part of the hotel. The rooms have been renovated with new furniture and fittings, except for the 1990’s bathroom. There are lots of wear and tear and scuff marks. The photos on the website create high expectations that simply won’t be met. The TA website refers to a turn down service - this is not something I want or need but it is untrue and adds to false expectations of luxury.
The rooftop bar was closed for a private function when I wanted to use it. The pool is small and wedged in a dark corner next to the restaurant so does not look especially inviting (unlike most pools.)
The internet was hit and miss but the option to chrome cast is very good.
Having said that, we had a balcony room and it was a great size with a nice, separate living room, a desk area, and lots of light streaming in. The king size bed was very comfy and everything was clean except the bathroom which was a bit tatty around the edges.
All the glowing reviews about the “great location” also disappointed me. Taste is subjective of course. The Point is set in a suburban pocket with residential high rises on all sides. There is barely a shop to be found and just a few cafes and restaurants sparsely dotted around. Mainly you have to traverse unpleasant main roads to get anywhere. For such an overdeveloped area, there was not many signs of life on the streets at all.
There are some nice walks to be found along the river in both directions once you navigate the blocked access routes - the nearest ferry stop and cliff path are closed from flood damage and the signage is very poor. When you get to the river’s edge away from the main road, it is very pleasant. We walked across the Story Bridge twice and it is easy walking (although not so pleasant with the road noise), and dinner at the Howard Smith Wharf at the other end of the bridge from The Point is highly recommended.
I am surprised at so many other reviews saying it is conveniently located. If you have no time pressures, then you can use the ferries to traverse the river into the CBD. It is a very lovely 30 minute walk (once you cross the main road and find the unsigned path) along the river to South Bank but you still need to cross the river from there to get into the CBD. You could walk to the Gabba without problems from The Point. We walked to Suncorp stadium but it took an hour and was not a pleasant walk at all. Better to taxi/Uber this.
Taking into account the pricing, I would rate this hotel as great value if you're not fussed about location and you keep your expectations realistic.

Very tired and certainly not Luxury Escape. We booked through Le as they have delivered quality to us on most of our previous 16 trips. This one sadly was far from Luxury. On check in there is no staff to assist with a greet or luggage up the numerous steps. Reception lady was pleasant but had no idea of the area ,no recommendations on places to go or visit (she was not a local but a briefing by management to her you think would be a must) .when we checked out another receptionist mentioned about paying for our upgrade room that we requested but never received despite the hotel being very quiet. In the lift on the way to our room ,the chatty maintenance man told us how flat out he was due to so many items needing to be fixed across Hotel. The room was very basic ,a nice clean bed and linen Very small balcony with a view of the concrete wall when u sat in the plastic chairs provided ,there is a view if you stand up . The shower is in the bath with a big step into it( no mention of it anywhere)it flooded the floor as it has no seal on the bottom ,and very awkward getting out of a slippery bath with no handrails to grab ,the towel rails adjacent would not suffice and had already been removed judging by the filled holes in the tiles beside it.an unappealing melamine sheet behind the door for the robe hooks was very un luxury . There were plaster board patches behind the bedroom curtain tracks too .The breakfast and coffee pods were hot and tasty but as it was quiet we had 3-5 staff hovering at all times and even leaning over my wife to remove her plate without asking seconds after she finished her food . The location is what it is ,remote ,not near anything at all but the free ferry was great .. Don’t like writing this type of review ,but just offering an honest opinion on our 10th floor Room

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent stay. I’m genuinely sorry to hear that your experience did not meet the expectations you’ve come to expect from previous Luxury Escapes trips. It appears that you stayed in a Balcony Suite, which features separate lounge and bedroom areas, along with a balcony designed to capture the city and river views. I understand that your experience with the balcony and its views was less than ideal, and for that, I apologise. Brisbane is a bustling city, and while we strive to provide an oasis of calm, it is sometimes difficult to completely eliminate city-related noises. In this instance, a Deluxe Guest Rooms and Junior Suites, fitted with double-glazed, high-performance specification glass, might have been a better fit. These rooms offer a whisper-quiet experience and feature complete blackout curtains, creating a cosy and comfortable environment. For only a marginal increase in tariff, these rooms may have provided the additional comfort you were seeking. Full details on our room types and features are available on our hotel website, and I encourage you to explore them for your next visit. Once again, I appreciate your honest feedback. We hope that despite this experience, you will consider staying with us again in the future and allow us the opportunity to provide the quality and luxury you deserve. safe travels, Aaron

Great room and great location but during our stay customer service was very hit and miss. Some staff were fantastic (e.g. Imogene in the bar/restaurant), others not so much. To be fair they did say they'd had a lot of new staff start recently, but still... * When we checked in, the receptionist said hardly a word and sort of tossed our room key at us... no mention of what floor we were on, what time breakfast was or any of the usual information * Next day we had breakfast in the restaurant, I ordered eggs and my husband just croissants & pastries. 45 minutes later we were still waiting for our food, and we were the only ones there! After asking why it was taking so long and being asked what we'd ordered, 3 minutes later our food appeared (albeit my eggs were missing the tomato & mushroom sides I had ordered). Quite obviously the person who took our order had not put it into the kitchen. They were very apologetic and gave us 2 complimentary drink vouchers. No biggie, things happen and if this was the only issue you could overlook it. * During a 3 night stay, housekeeping did not leave any spare toilet paper, we only ever had the roll that was on the holder when we arrived. On night 3 when this ran out and we discovered there wasn't any more, we phoned housekeeping who said "can you come down and get it". My husband said no we can't. When the guy delivered it, I attempted to explain that we had not been left any in the bathroom during our 3 night stay, but he abruptly cut me off very rudely and said "let's not argue about it". He was clearly annoyed he had to do his job and bring it to us. * When we checked out the credit card they had on file was charged, and I had to ask for a receipt/invoice so I could just check charges were correct. I didn't look at it properly until we got to the airport, and then discovered there were 2 charges to the agency we had booked through - which was meant to go to the agency but that $190 had been put on our bill! So I had to ring to query that and have it refunded, - which was done promptly.
None of this was life or death but all in all there were enough incidents in a 3 night stay to warrant feedback that staff training needs improvement.
Also very disappointing to find out that the rooftop bar, Eagles Nest, is only open Fri-Sun nights, as we'd been looking forward to a drink there.

We stayed here for 1 night on an AFL game day as this hotel is around a 20 minute walk from the Gabba. The room was large with a balcony overlooking the city and was in a good location for nearby kangaroo point restaurants etc. We enjoyed some drinks in the rooftop bar (the views were spectacular from here at night) and we found the room service offering to be quick and efficient.

We had our room "As high as possible". While the surroundings were very quiet and consisted of few hotels, apartments and private houses, the beautiful large room was out to the skyline and thus above the busy road to Story Bridge. You get the full load of rush hour traffic, both morning and evening, out of Brisbane. But watching the Skyline and Story Bridge with the changing colors in the dark was better than any TV program. The room was pleasantly large and very well maintained. The staff of the house were unobtrusive, very friendly, helpful and often Australian serene. We had breakfast included. That means everything free up to AUD 20 p.p. Anything beyond that you had to pay extra. The quality of the breakfast food was very good. The pool area was actually adequate, but some seating more would be pleasant. The gym would be good if some equipment had been there. The Brisbane River boat piers can be reached in about 15 minutes on foot. Restaurants and cafes are nearby, below the bridge. All sightseeing points are within walking distance, or with the free boats.

We arrived early evening from Sydney, wanted to eat then bed. We asked about where to get food, to be told that we'd have to take a 35 minute ferry trip to the Southbank! That was the nearest. Also to get water from a grocery store was a 10 to 15 minute walk away. We were shocked! Location did not seem ideal at all. Plus the reception didn't really have a clue where to find food and had to research. We had to use the ferry (which we were told was a 10 minute walk away, turned out it was 3 minutes) and on route saw a grocery store, 1 minute from the hotel. Also we found a big restaurant, social bar on the river called 'Fennells' which was 2 stops away on the ferry, 5 mins! I did inform reception of this and they admitted they didn't know. Now they were informed for other tired travellers. After all this we went to our room and saw a not very nice looking sofa bed in the middle of it. There was a separate bedroom with a king size bed but as there was 3 of us, 1 of us had to sleep on the sofa bed. It just wasn't expected from a 4 star hotel. We asked and they said they had no rooms that catered for 3 people with 2 or 3 beds. (we had a travel agent book the hotel) At first this did not seem ideal, my 20 year old daughter slept on it, although not the most comfortable, it was ok for 5 nights. So if you encounter the same, do not worry too much. Aside from this the hotel was clean and staff were friendly. The ferry ride to the Southbank is free and frequent. Worth going over there day or night, lots of restaurants, shops, bars and a man-made beach with a lovely, large pool. Overall, I wouldn't stay here again because of the location.

Excellent stay at The Point Brisbane! The hotel foyer is lovely and very clean, we were checked in quickly as multiple staff were working and everyone was friendly and welcoming. There is lots of free on-site parking so we were able to park in an undercover secure area. The Altitude Suite was spacious with two rooms, a lounge and dining area and large bathroom. We were very happy with the cleanliness of the room and the bed was comfortable (I was also very happy to find hotel robes and slippers), also has a large balcony off the dining area with nice views of the river. Hotel amenities are fantastic! We got down to the buffet breakfast at 9.30am and there was a great selection, all the food hot and fresh. The pool area was great and has lots of loungers to accomodate many guests. The roof top bar is definitely worth a visit, amazing views of the city and great live music! Overall a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend the Altitude Suite!

Good location for our needs. Check in was easy, staff friendly & accomodating, communication was good. Great parking underneath , price was reasonable in the city, although when booking did think it was included originally which is one reason we chose the hotel. It’s a nice place, we didn’t try the restaurant but it looks really good, a bit more pricy. Rooftop bar we checked out -nice feature. Room was decent, a bit dated but suited our needs fine. Only thing I couldn’t find was blow dryer. A few things needed attention like lamps are worn /cracked shades. Desk chair & Fridge need a good clean, something gunky at bottom of fridge door. Overall, we were satisfied and would possibly consider again if needed.

Good morning
I believe so, however this is not a service that I have used. Certainly they were very helpful and I do not envisage that this would be a problem.
