This motel is our regular motel for our stays in Brisbane...in fact we had 3 stays there in August! We had family visiting from NZ and they were very impressed with KSM for their overnight stay. Helen and her team are exceptional - welcoming, friendly and helpful. The rooms are all renovated and well appointed. They are very comfy, beds are lovely and rooms are always spotlessly clean. Onsite parking is also convenient and easy. A short walk across the road takes you to Portside where we like Lemonish for breakfast and Byblos for dinner. Also a short walk away is Brett's Wharf to catch the CityCat into town. This is definitely our Go-to Motel for our Brisbane visits and we always enjoy our stays there. Highly recommended!

This was our first time staying in this area of Brisbane and we were delighted by the friendly service received from reception Staff and their easy 24hr check-in. The Newly renovated Deluxe King room was beautifully decorated making us feel as though we had stumbled upon a hidden gem that was great value for money. The location makes it incredibly handy for those needing quick access to the airport or M1 Highway, there are plenty of eateries within reach, both Doomben and Eagle Farm racetracks are a short walk/drive away, and Eat street/ Portside is just 2-min down the road. The room itself was very clean with small yet thoughtful touches making your stay feel that bit extra special (e.g. welcome note with helpful info on arrival). Tea and coffee area was filled with decent coffee and tea options with the supply of fresh milk (which was super pleasing to see!)
My partner and I booked via booking.com, but we will 100% book direct next time around as their website is very easy to navigate, and we would love to fully support this business again. Highly recommend!

From the greeting we received from the lovely lady at Reception to the amazing room and facilities I honestly believe this is the best value for money we have ever had in a hotel/motel room. The hotel has been renovated to the highest standard and the neutral and blue colours make the rooms and hallways look very vibrant. The choice of furniture is very welcoming from the comfy armchair to the softly padded office chair. We really loved the hand ornament with the chocolates too! My husband thought the light coming on by the loo at night was a great feature and stopped the usual stumbling and fumbling trying to find a light switch. From the female angle I really loved the electric make up/shaving mirror; it was brilliant and I now want one at home! The bed was super comfortable and the pillows were just awesome. I usually only sleep for about 3 to 4 hours before waking up but last night I slept for nearly 8 hours and woke up very relaxed and ready for our flight to Cairns. The rain shower was awesome and I want one of those too! The bathroom was very spacious and I'm just sorry we were only staying 1 night. We know that next time we come to Brisbane we will definately stay here and make sure it's for a longer stay. The TV was another bonus; it's the first time we have had a 65" smart TV in our hotel room and the picture was crystal clear. I would recommend The Kingsford Smith Motel to anyone who requires accommodation in Brisbane. It's perfect for business or leisure and a great location; close to the airport and the Portside cruise terminal where there are some wonderful restaurants. I forgot to mention that the free wi-fi and free carparking are also an added bonus when staying in the city.

My wife and I had the pleasure of attending a function at Portside and choose the Kingsford Smith Motel as a place to spend the night. With a 5 minute stroll we had access to the Portside precinct with its many shops, restaurants and amenities.
Our room was the biggest surprise, large, freshly renovated, meticulously clean and well equipped. The windows are double glazed so absolutely no street noise, the combined plantation shutters and black out curtains allowed privacy and ample light control. The 55” smart tv on the wall, and automatic led light which gave ambient lighting in the bathroom are both added touches which we greatly appreciated. There are an abundance of places to stay in the local area , some are three times the price per night. You need look no further , just book here and enjoy.

Stayed here overnight on business in Brisbane and have to say was completely blew my expectations out of the water. The rooms had just been through a renovation and looked sensational - very luxurious feel and amenities and the most comfortable bed and chairs. Top that with the warmest welcome on the front desk and your ticking all the boxes. The motel is on the main road but with double glaze windows, did not hear a breathe of noise from outside. Located a short walk down the road from the Hamilton hotel or across the road to the Eat street area by the wharf, it offers everything you need for convenience. You will absolutely not be disappointed to stay here and have to stay it will be the first place I look for accommodation on my next stay in Brisbane.

Just like the photographs. Recent renovations are to a high standard with details like night sensor light in bathroom combo rainfall shower. The room is spotless, the bed good, the massive Tv with Netflix, Fox Sport and Prime loaded and working . Biscuits, chocolates, face washers and generous daily refill of all of the amenities. Water in fridge. Even on a sold out Saturday i found a free parking spot. Wifi works and free. Good size bar fridge, shower cap...had it all except ice. I am sure they use a room spray after servicing so when you walk back in it smells so nice. They thought about the design, the surfaces and finishes durable. With good maintenance and housekeeping the standard should be maintained and i will be back for sure. Just a note that at 5'1" even on tip toes could not see a thing in magnifying mirror...way too high for many women and it does not tip down. Negative was i had noisy neighbours thumping about and talking loudly. Recommend ear plugs if that is a trigger for you. No noise from Kingsford Smith Drive. No mini bar and did not see a vending machine. No cafe or restaurant small breaky menu in my photos. Thanks Helen and Cameron, lovely stay, very impressed.

As the name says, this is a motel, so it's nothing fancy. Having said that, the room had everything we needed, it was clean, the location was good and the staff were very friendly. If you're just looking for somewhere to stay for a night before/after your flight or cruise, this motel is in the perfect location. It was maybe a 15 minute walk to the City Cat terminal and apparently about the same in the other direction to get to the railway station for getting into Brisbane CBD. The journey on the City Cat was about 30 minutes to get to the Riverside area of the city. Motel provides a free shuttle service to both the airport and the cruise terminal, although it doesn't run 24/7. Late arrival is not a problem as they have lock boxes built into the Reception Desk and will leave your key in there when Reception closes. The room rate was very reasonable and even included breakfast.
All in all, it was a good choice and I would definitely stay there again.

I’m travelling to Hervey Bay with an overnight stop at Brisbane and I stayed at the motel last night. The Kingsford Smith Motel is one of the best motels I’ve ever stayed at, from the welcoming greeting at the door, complimentary bottle of wine (or beer), and tastefully decorated room. An added extra is the free shuttle to the airport, saving $20 in Uber fare. The motel is a short walk to Portside Wharf with tons of eateries, restaurants, supermarket, cinema, and a great walking path nearby.
The room is very clean and the bed comfy, but the best thing for me is the lovely, helpful couple at reception.
I’m coming back!

I was looking for an overnight stop as i had an evening arriving flight into Brisbane and had a breakfast meeting the next day at the Brisbane DFO Village. Well i was reaaly impressed with The Kingsford Smith Motel. The rooms are very tastefully furnished, spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, 2 armchairs, nice large TV and good tea/coffee making bar with bottled fresh milk. Rooms are soundproffed so the main road is not an issue noise wise. The check in and check out was seamless. This property i can highly recommend you will not be disappointed i guarantee you!

This is more 5 star boutique hotel than motel, the wonderful hosts Lorraine and Trevor manage to combine luxury with homeliness and a huge dollop of inclusiveness to top.
I have stayed in places overseas and Australia and never equaled this stay except perhaps the Sheraton neAr the park in Sydney.
Where do I start with the applause, Is it the wonderful,engaging, communicative Lorraine amazing hostess and Trevor who give so much of themselves.
The gorgeous boutique decor, blue velvet and palms to die for,complimentary chocies and wine.Sumptuos carpets and fittings.
Food out of this world, by traditional sous chef at amazingly reasonable prices,spoilt and indulged.
Amazingly comfortable beds, massive sMart tvs and icy old aircon massive bathrooms with his/her showers 24 hour check in.
So close to airport,park and shops and CBD this hotel is a dream *****.
I can only finish this by saying to either local or overseas visitors try this amazing establishment the prices and experience will do the rest and I for one am returning soon ....

There is a nice Asian restaurant just around the corner. Nothing fancy, casual dining catering to all tastes, the food we had was excellent and well priced.
