Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hotel Diana is clean and tidy. Our room was the family room and spa. The spa in the bath works well and has strong jets. Kids loved it. Room was large and had sectioned areas for dining table and lounge. There was even a hot plate to cook with. I would stay here again. Real easy to pop out for dinner. So many restaurants around the hotel. Buffet breakfast on offer as well.

Needed a good priced 1 night stay around the Southbank area of Brisbane. With the ridiculous prices most hotels were looking for around Southbank I came across this gem. The Hotel Diana. Price was awsome and included free parking. Arrived to a super warm greeting for the lady behind the desk. Room was ready even though we arrived early. Room modern, fresh, super clean. Hotel 10min easy walk to Southbank. Great eateries local to the hotel itself so not necessary to go to southbank if you don't need to. Breakfast reasonably priced and well presented. Only negative, there is no pool but southbank has all the swimming facilities you would need. Nice gym for the fitness gurus. Don't spend hundreds on other hotels in the area. Try this one first.

Great location for appointment at the Mater. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Beds were super comfy, had a great night sleep. Water pressure was good. Good selection of places close by for food. The water cooler was handy to refill with cold water. Will be staying here again on my next trip. Easy to get to from Roma Street Station.

Stayed at this property for four nights prior to a 2 week cruise. We came from overseas and were permitted to check in early which was nice after a 15 hr flight. We had a king room on the 3rd floor. The room was not large but very well appointed, comfortable and very clean. There were wine glass in the room, small fridge, and coffee/tea making facilities, including an occasional chair and table for sitting at. The bathroom was a tile and the shower had great pressure. The front desk staff were very friendly and always greeted us when we passed by. The location of the hotel is nice, less than 5 min walk to the south bank and adjacent to the Brisbane Brewing Company pub and some food court type restaurants. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Brisbane, as the service, quality and location was great value for the price paid!

The room was supposed to be a deluxe queen and single. The queen was just two singles pushed together. The room had cockroaches in the bathroom which scared me when I went for my shower. The kettle was covered in dust and the milk provided was a bit sad as it is only tiny long life. The walls are thin and you can hear other people’s enjoyment in certain activities. The bar fridge was old and was loud during the night. The room is small. The carpet is dirty. The bathroom needs refurbishing as the cupboards are rotting and there is mould on the roof and in the grout in the shower. It was convenient and close to the hospital for my stay.

I have stayed at the Diana Hotel several times, and always find it a perfect stay. Can I make a special mention to the front counter staff who I find always to be really pleasant and helpful. The same goes for the breakfast room staff.....so refreshing these days. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The parking is free, and safe although finding your way out can be tricky until you get to know the geography. Breakfast if a buffet, with everything that you would need. No dining room at night, but there are lots of eateries all around. A great but very crowded Thai restaurant just next door. The central position is also close to the city. I will certainly stay here again when next in Brissy.

We visit and stay regularly when having six months treatment at Mater private. It is a short walk across to the hospital and you can check out and leave your car there in their car park untill ready to depart. There are great restaurants and a small shopping centre right next door with a fabulous bakery and a convenience store like a small Superette. Hotel is very clean and staff pleasant. Beds comfy showers great.shop around for prices. Haven't stayed for breakfast but it looked really nice. Highly recommend if going to the Mater for day surgery and having to overnight.

Our family group of eight had three rooms for six nights in August. The beds were comfortable and the lobby was spacious. This is a very busy area with several medical facilities surrounding the property. Easy walk to many different restaurants (and the soccer stadium where World Cup games played). The breakfast buffet was okay but a bit pricey. The coffee machine in the lobby was not working but there was another machine in the breakfast area (but staff in there did not like us using it, my sister-in-law was told she shouldn't be in there). Parking was free and we did find spaces each night but it was a near thing, very busy. All in all a decent stay that fit our needs at a reasonable price.

I wish I could say I enjoyed my stay at the Diana, but unfortunately an emergency required us to leave our first night. However, I am grateful to the staff and manger that handled the problem professionally and refunded our remaining stay. I can say that we were there long enough to enjoy an easy walk to South Bank, check out one of the many good restaurants there. Additionally our room was very nice and comfortable. I look forward to staying there in the future.

Had an excellent stay here. Went up to Brisbane for a weekend away to watch my team the Geelong Cats take on the Brisbane Lions at the GABBA - and this decided to book this hotel as it was situated in walking distance to the ground. It exceeded by expectations - extremely friendly and welcoming staff (who remember your name which makes it personal), basic but very nice and clean room with everything you need (including complimentary tea and coffee facilities), on site restaurant for breakfast (which I did not use but the buffet sounded really nice), no pool but that did not bother me - the hotel was great for the price. It’s listed as a 3 star hotel but to me it seemed superior to that. Not an overly large hotel, but it seems to include all the benefits and facilities that the bigger ones do. The friendliness of the staff really stood out. Ideal location for going to the AFL football at the GABBA (unfortunately my team lost) but that did not deviate from the great experience I had here. It’s also in walking distance to south bank and the beautiful Brisbane river walks. Will definitely stay here again when I return to Brisvegas for another footy trip!
