Detailed Reviews
We've stayed at the Treasury Hotel a few times and always come back when wanting a luxury weekend get away for special occasions. We had another wonderful stay at the hotel for 2 nights celebrating our wedding anniversary with friends. We love the heritage hotel, very elegant and some rooms have magnificent views of the city and/or looking over the river to South Bank. Our room was a suite which was just amazing!! It was very spacious with a very large bedroom and the bed was super comfy, walk-in robe, large bathroom, lounge and dining area with small toilet ensuite off to the side and a balcony. Only thing I would say is that the balcony needs a light for night time as its really dark and a bit of a hazard if you miss the door step. The hotel is in a great location to access all the city sights and just a short walk to the casino either through the park and across the road or underground which connects to the car park as well. The hotel staff are so very helpful and friendly. We ordered room service for breakfast and night time snack. Quick service and food was good, $5.00 service charge. Room had a small bar fridge but no ice machines in the hotel but room service happy to deliver ice buckets. Parking is $30 for hotel guests or $20 for Star Club Members. We also received a lovely bottle of wine and a note from the hotel as a gift for our wedding anniversary which was a really nice touch. Thanks Treasury Hotel!!

Spring special rate available directly on the website, that includes breakfast, late checkout and parking was so affordable we splurged on a suite. What an experience! Soaring ceilings, huge space with dining table for 10 plus lounge, elegant furnishings, superb bed, marble bathroom, well soundproofed with glorious drop curtains and blinds - also over the skylights, ensured a heavenly sleep. Centrally located within walking distance to SouthBank and galleries. The breakfast included in the package was plentiful and delicious. Service from all staff was 5 star. Cleanliness was outstanding with staff cleaning door handles and surfaces throughout the day.
It was such a wonderful experience we have already rebooked.

I’m writing this having a coffee in Ryan’s, one of the many eateries in the Treasury complex. We haven’t even checked out and I am sold and ready to write an excellent review.
2 things to note..
1. I’m astounded by the negative reviews and urge anyone to consider that this is an old heritage hotel built in the 1890s. If you’re looking for a rooms with modern facilities and furniture that look like a NASA lab do not stay here! Old world charm is *because of* imperfections, like well used furniture, old style fittings, etc.
2. It’s important to point out that the hotel complex comprises 2 buildings, the main casino (where there are also hotel rooms if you want to be close to the gaming) but there is also another heritage building set back across from a small park behind the main casino building. This is hotel rooms only, also with restaurants.
There is an underground walkway connecting the 2 buildings so you can stay dry when the weather is bad. We stayed in this building.
Ok, the review.. wow, we love this hotel. From the minute we arrived at reception it was clear how good the service was. Without exception, all the staff were attentive, courteous and friendly.
Our room - again, another wow. A beautifully set out suite with so much space. And the bed, I think I’ve had the best 2 night’s sleep ever. So comfortable! The bathroom was very large with separate bath and shower, Apelles toiletries and bathrobes. There was also a separate dressing space, like an entrance hall before entering either the bedroom or bathroom.
In room dining is available but we didn’t do this, choosing instead to eat at Fat Noodle, a long term favourite.
The location is excellent and it is a lovely hotel to hang out in if the weather is inclement. Rain blighted most of our stay but the hotel more than made up for this.
We booked a package that included full breakfast, some dining credit and parking which was very good value.
We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and hoping to do so next year.
Apparently the older buildings are eventually being retired from hotel service as a huge new modern casino complex is under construction. Life always moves on, but if you want to savour some grandeur of the past make sure you come and stay here sooner rather than later!
Thank you Treasury for an excellent stay 😊

I love this hotel, having just enjoyed two wonderful nights' sleep there.
It's old-fashioned gracious, with large rooms that are very comfortable, thoughtful and with bathrooms that tempt you with a good deep bath.
The small touches and exceptional service were stand outs.
It's also very well located, within the city, on the river, overlooking a park and a walk over the bridge to Southbank.
The photos don't really do it justice.

We stayed for our Wedding night and purchased the Wedding night package that had lovely inclusions such as a bottle of Veuve champagne and choc strawberries in our room, hot breakfast and valet parking. My only disappointment at check in was that nobody really guided us properly or discussed the package so we were really unsure of how the breakfast worked and when or how to order, we'd already parked our car and then there was no offer to move it to valet, they did ask when we wanted the champagne delivered. It was just lacking given the excitement of our day and them knowing that we had such a special occasion and had booked specifically for that celebration. The room itself was very grand with a beautiful big bathroom. The breakfast was lovely.

Recently my wife and I had a weekend break at this hotel. We were impressed by the charm of the hotel but during our stay it was disappointing to be informed when checking in that we would not be receiving any housekeeping which meant during our 2 night stay we had to clean and tidy our own room and make our own bed (NOT 5 STAR). The walls due to air vents in their very high ceilings echoed noise from other rooms so you can imagine what we heard (nudge nudge wink wink .) On checking out we were not even asked how our stay was from the receptionist but will give 10/10 to the friendly valet.

After a harrowing trip full of delays, stoppages, issues with my navigation and struggles working out how to park my day to myself was all but over by the time I arrived, and I was pretty tired and upset by then. I had also inadvertently arrived to the wrong building of The Treasury. Welcomed by the lovely thoughtful and caring Elizabeth things took a turn for the better. She switched my booking across and gave me the most amazing room I have ever seen, all while proffering tissues and kind words. Customer Service Extraordinaire!
The room was majestic, I was half expecting a butler to walk through the door! Glorious high ceilings, beautiful views to the river (would love to have gone out there, dam WHS), stunning woodwork they really new how to make beautiful doors and furniture, bathroom was spacious to say the least and beautifully crafted.
After an hour wander my heart was just not feeling adventurous anymore, so I returned to my palatial room and had a lovely bath. A first for me being so tall, I didn't have to fold myself in half to get wet!!! I want one of these baths! The bed was as comfortable as it was beautiful, I could not have been more pleased with this room.
I had dinner at the Ryan and Breakfast at The Lab was lovely as well while I watched the world go by. The location is quite central, and if I ever get the chance again I hope to explore more in the area. Being so central does not mean the rooms were affected by street noise, quite the contrary.

We have been members of the casino for a few years now but never stayed over night at the Treasury Brisbane so we decided to give it a try. When I rang to get a price I got a good discount for being a member compared to other booking sites, not only that the staff could not do enough for us, they made our stay even more enjoyable. The food in the Fat Noodle restaurant was amazing and again being members we got it at members prices. The experience was so good we are thinking of going back next fortnight as we have already booked for late November. All in all we could not recommend this place any higher and we have stayed in 5 star accommodation all around the world. One last thing don't miss the happy hour drinks.

The heritage building is phenomenal! The attention to the little details is what makes it special...the historic photos & paintings, the furniture & fittings, the ceilings that just seem to stretch to the sky, the crisp white linen, the marble in the bathrooms, the quaint little balconies, the glorious big beds. The gym is well equipped & already arranged for social distancing. The front of house staff were very professional & friendly & obviously knew how to make guests feel like they've always known them. The valet parking staff were very pleasant & prompt. We cannot wait to stay here again!!!

Hello. Only cigarettes and cigars are allowed in the smoking areas.
You can do either with parking because you pay on exiting, so the hotel would validate your exit ticket.
With breakfast, straight down to the restaurant, where your room number is recorded with breakfast.
