The exhaust fan was covered in black mould that has been there for months (based on the quantity). Placed the guest into hospital for two days due to an allergic reaction. Reported it to housekeeping and nothing happened Manager only called after we had checked out.

It was great to be checking into a hotel again with our first stay at Hilton Brisbane. Great location off Queen Street mall with Apple, Hermés and Woolies all on the same block! The Harry Seidler-designed hotel is pretty spectacular if not original with its huge central atrium that dominates when you enter the lobby level for check in. Our room was clean if not dated, the 12 year old TV broke down and needed to be replaced (like all of them I imagine). Our shower leaked into the rest of the bathroom and the old AC unit only had one setting - noisy! All these little annoyances shouldn’t happen in a supposed 5 star property. Most of the staff were great and went out of their way to ensure we were looked after, however a minor few couldn’t care less which was disappointing. It was also a shame the executive lounge was closed, while no room service after 10pm. If hundreds of people can assemble for a convention in a tiny meeting space then surely the lounge can be operated in some capacity? Big thanks to Mio, Cheetah, Ivan and Tim at reception along with the concierge team Matthew and Ben for helping us through the stay and making us feel welcome.

The Hilton Brisbane is located dead-centre in the city, on Queen Street Mall. It is also architecturally interesting, being the only hotel designed by renowned Australian architect, Harry Seidler. This is particularly clear in the atrium-style lobby. Our room was very comfortable and everything you would expect of a Hilton hotel. We were very happy to be afforded both early check in and late check-out by the friendly and efficient staff. The only negatives were limited room service for a five-star hotel.

First time i stayed here since COVID restrictions were lifted. Breakfast buffet has been dismantled but staff take your order and bring promptly to your table, or you go to the "grill" for specifics. Executive lounge has been replaced with 1hr happy hr in the main bar area and you get a plate with finger food, drinks are still flowing but limited amount of food. Location is excellent, close walk to the riverside or across the road to sushi-train.
