We wish that we had known that the shower was inside the bath. This was almost impossible for us to have a shower as lifting both legs to enter the bath was not only cumbersome but dangerous, however, on check-out we were informed that we could have asked for an apartment on Levels 2, 3 or 4. Never mind. Next time and there will be a next time. Our only other complaint was the bed. Being only 5 foot 3, we found it very difficult to get onto the bed and were afraid of falling out. Otherwise, the design of each room in the apartment was well done! We loved the ambience, lifts, aroma of the reception area, waiting chairs for transport, friendliness of staff, easy check-in and check-out. Great location for a short break. Staff were so pleasant. Very handy to entertainment and dining precincts. The location handy to the city, Howard Smith Wharf precinct and the riverwalk. Rooms are fully self contained, with fully equipped kitchen and laundry. Seperate bedroom with cozy king sized bed and plenty of cupboard space.
Aircon in bedroom didn’t work also a live Cockroach in the bathroom!! The gym also had weights everywhere not re-racked the spa next to the pool had dirty water (you could clearly see the dirt) staff at front counter was blunt and very unapproachable. I wish I could get a refund.
Went to Ekka. Stayed here beautiful stay. I highly recommend resealing all the grout & silicon in the bathtub. As it’s very Mouldy I thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The pool & spa was amazing. I also highly recommend a product called bleach for the showers. As it was very mouldy.
Requested a 30 minute early check in (2.30pm ) as I had a wedding to attend, Person I spoke to on the phone said a note would be placed on the file and he didn't see it as a problem. upon arrival, no room available, no notes on file, they told me I must have called a different place until I showed the phone call record. When I asked how long it will be the lady behind the counter said " I will call you when the room is ready" it was now 2.45pm so I said your check in time is 3:00pm anyway so I cant be more than 15 minutes, to this she answered "our check in id FROM 3:00 pm" does this mean it could be 5:00pm " she said "I will call you when your room is ready" I asked to speak with a manager, I waited 5 minutes discussed the problem with him, he went to his computer and said "your room is ready" it was the same room. The "customer service" lady I first spoke to should not be working in this role. Terrible attitude. Part of her excuse was is that they have to thoroughly clean the rooms since Covid, well our room still had sticky take stuck to windows, walls and door frames from a party. celebration that was held in it. The room certainly was not thoroughly cleaned. Would I stay again, NO don't need the stress of the car drop off area or the car park situation …
Friendly staff, with clean and comfortable rooms. Good central location and close to amenities including cafes and restaurants. Great value. Very reasonably priced, considering its a whole suite with kitchen etc.
Check in was immediate, even though I turned up early. As always, the suite was fitted out beautifully and all amenities were very comfortable. The room is perfectly clean and the products provided in the bathroom are always appreciated!
My husband and I stayed for a week, asked the front desk to put in request for cleaning three times. The housekeeping only came twice, replaced the new towels and told us “no cleaning.” I had allergies everyday there. Then complained about it to the front desk and got no response back. We thought this would be a great hotel choice, turned out it was not! For how much it costs per night, it was not worth it at all!
I’d arranged late checkout at 11am as I was working remotely. At 8:30am a young male cleaner walked in without knocking and 8:45am older male tradesman knocked and opened the door. As a young female, this was shocking and made me feel very uncomfortable in my own room. Upon checking out, the receptionist did not ask how my stay was. I proceeded to tell her briefly and politely of the the incidents and she actually LAUGHED! This is absolutely appalling customer service. She could have saved me writing this poor review yet only made me feel worse. She blamed this on my partner leaving earlier for work and that she was busy - he had not checked out, nor given the key back and explicitly said that I was still in the room. Apart from this incident, here is some more feedback - One key card didn’t work. Receptionist didn’t believe us when we asked for a new one so attempted to disprove us which was quite amusing when it didn’t work. Our suite was on the lowest floor with a view into other buildings yet over $200 per night. Bedroom layout meant I couldn’t get into the bed without climbing over it, cannot imagine if you had any mobility issues or were older. Unclean kitchen and the bathroom was in desperate need of maintenance, particularly the tiles, grout and rubbish bin. Only gave 1 dish soap, 4 tea bags etc for 2 people staying 3 nights. Zero thought or personalisation. Positives were the convenient location, Kevin Murphy bathroom amenities, the was bed comfortable and the large TV in the bedroom was great to watch the Comm Games.…
Very clean and nice but was difficult to find parking and took a while to check in. All the staff were very nice and helpful. Wish there were instructions on where to park your car to check in because that would have made the process easier.
