Great accommodation near Brisbane airport. What a lovely surprise awaited us at the Novena Palms Motel where we were met by friendly staff & directed to spotlessly clean accommodation. Christine, who was on duty, went out of her way to help us. Excellent stay over 6km from Brisbane Airport with airport shuttle every morning

The family booked a room with a queen and a double bed to go to a concert at the Entertainment Centre. Location is very convenient to airport and the venue. Clean and well appointed room. Was pleasantly surprised it had a small fridge, microwave and plates/cutlery - made it easier to have our own snacks and breakfast. Very friendly staff. Good value for an overnight stay for 4.

The pics on the website definitely don't match the motel itself. We stayed here for the location as had an early flight out of Brisbane however it is really outdated. One of the rooms had a really musty smell and the host did clean it again however it was still there. The host is really lovely and the free shuttle to the airport is great but I wouldn't stay again.

Thanks to a Jetstar stuff up in accommodation, we ended up at the Novena palms motel in Northgate quite close to Brisbane airport. We were going on a cruise next day. Motel was excellent, nice room with balcony with all amenities. A bit isolated, but the motel had a deal with a Chinese takeaway, and a pizza shop that were delivered. We opted for the Chinese which was beautiful. No local shops( servo about 1 km away). Cost about $30 by taxi from Brisbane airport, and about $40 to cruise terminal

We stayed here for one night ahead of an interstate trip, due to proximity to the airport. We also liked being close to the shopping at the airport - DFO and Woolworths.

On first driving in we were concerned about the accommodation being on a high traffic road and looking a bit average, but that was just reception, the accommodation block was down the driveway, past the swimming pool. It was very quiet, easy parking at the front, and much more inviting.

There are two levels, ground and first, accessed by stairs - something to be aware of if you cannot manage stairs. We had unit 12 on the end of the block on level 1. We had a lovely balcony overlooking parkland/school oval in the rear. The unit itself was spotlessly clean, had a few kitchen amenities to have takeaway or heat up food. The bed was comfortable, the shower hot.

There is a shuttle to the airport. There is also a couple of takeaway food places that deliver here. We got takeaway pasta from Budgies Pizza and Pasta delivered and found the food to be delicious. We recommend them if you're looking to eat in.

Overall we found our stay here to be quite pleasant and will stay here again the next time we're off somewhere on a plane early in the morning.

What a hidden little gem. I found this place to be almost like home. Very clean comfortable room with all the amenities required. The staff were just wonderful to make sure all my needs were met. They were warm and friendly throughout my stay. The pricing was more than reasonable and only a short trip to the airport by their complimentary shuttle took away the hassle for me of getting there. Highly recommend.

Walking through the door to check in we were greeted like we were old friends, lovely big smiles and very welcoming.
Was pleasantly surprised and very happy with our balcony room, quite spacious, bathroom and shower very roomy and everything extremely clean even the tiles on the balcony were very shiny and the outlook is amongst the trees, very calming. Loved the shuttle bus transfer service to the airport and the lady driver is also lovely (sorry I didnt write down her name). The delivery service from the local Chinese Restaurant Canton Palace was fantastic, she is a gem and the food had great flavour.
I have nothing negative to say as everything was extremely wonderful, thank you

We arrive late to our booking, not Novena's fault so ended up pay for 2 hrs of room use. Most expensive shower I've ever had.

There is no real airport pickup service.

Rude lady, doesn't answer phone before 9am usually.

There is no shuttle service just a rude lady in a van, too scabby to pay for proper pickup in Shuttle area. If we had arrived at our designated time of 2am we would have had to get a taxi - service only runs 7.15am - 9.30am.

Had to pay for taxi back to airport.

Had to bang on door to reception at 9am to get someone to answere.

This is a rundown awful motel miles from the airport with no shuttle service.

Woman was rude, spoke English badly, could not understand most of what she said.

Was not helpful.

After 2 very long flights, and 8hrs delay - this was the last straw

We stayed for an overnight stopover between flights, and had a great sleep after the long haul from Scotland. Comfy beds, good size shower with plenty of hot water. Small bslcony. Nice to have what we needed to make a cup of tea in the morning, fresh milk in the fridge, a cafe over the road for snack breakfast, we had brunch later in the airport. The staff were very friendly. We came from the airport by taxi, the shuttle buses only run in the morning. the staff were chatty and nice. No complaints at all

I had no choice but to take my key and wait in a dark room until electricity was restored. Next day there was no room service, I had to ring for dry towels and tea bags, there is a rack with crockery and cutlery but with nothing to clean and dry them with. Wi-fi went down on day 2 and hadn't come back on when on left on day 4 - no communication from management about this. If I could, I would have left after the first day but being that time of year and I didn't have a car I was stuck until I could fly home, I had to rely on Uber as there are no cafes or restaurants nearby. I looked forward to having a swim each morning but on arrival the pool was dirty and not fit for use, the next day the drained it and it wasn't full again until the day I left. Their neon sign says they have a cafe - they DON'T. Altogether ruined my experience in Brisbane

When we looked at the photos on the various websites as well as the reviews of the property, we were confident that we would be satisfied booking in this motel. When booking, we were offered a cabin, which we accepted thinking it would look like a regular room. After paying nearly $170 to book the cabin, we arrived on the scene and got the nasty surprise of a container with dirty and worn furniture, a garbage full of rubbish and a completely unsanitary shower: Bits of soap on the floor, dirty glass doors, suspicious stains on these doors, hair everywhere... By this time, the reception was already closed. Horrified, we left the key in the self-contained box and went somewhere else immediately. We do not recommand at all.
