I stayed a week and didn't get much sleep. My apartment was next to the entrance to the building and the main entrance door slammed very loudly every time someone come in or went out. This started up as early as 5am and didn't stop until midnight. There was a building site behind the apartments. Fair to say that the owners can't do anything about the digger starting up at 6am 7 days a week. This also made the pool sandy which then had cleaning equipment in it 24/7. I removed the floating cleaning hoses twice to be able to swim and was then told off doing so. The pool was my main reason for booking. I did ring reception more than a week before my arrival to find out about the noise I read about it in a previous review. I was told that my room was going to be fine. It wasn't. When I mentioned this phone call to the manager, he questioned me of ever having made this call (it was showing in my call log). The room itself had a comfortable bed, good aircon, good TV, good blinds, BUT there was no shelfing anywhere in the bathroom to even put a toothbrush, the two chairs were very wobbly (one had a completely loose leg), the microwave was not working (got replaced within 2 days), all mugs were very old and stained and just didn't look clean, etc. etc. When I asked for a fresh tea towel on day four I was told by management that they don't supply fresh towels. I was disappointed by the constant noise but more by management.

The apartment was easy to access via road, and was well located in South Brisbane, with easy walking distance to transport hubs and the Southbank area. Facilities on the property included a full kitchen and laundry. It was a most comfortable stay, with all linen provided. The great drawing point was the accessibility to all of the tourist attractions in Brisbane.

Very annoying to discover a large construction site right next door! So much for a relaxing start to our holiday. The room also smelt strongly of cigarette smoke and the temperature of the shower would randomly fluctuate between really hot and very cold. Plus side - the bed and linen were fabulous!

Christmas in a dirty room We arrived in the third floor up three flights of stair to be greeted by a room that was less than clean the cutlery drawer had crumbs all the way through it which I had to clean out the kitchen bench looked as though it has not even been wiped, and then Markssaid we’re on our way easily removed. By myself, I ended up spending over an hour cleaning the whole room. We tried to move a coffee table and Matt from directly in front of the sliding door to the patio only to discover underneath food. Debris burn marks in the carpet and general dirt apart from this the apartment was well laid out and very spacious. We did contact staff upon arrival and ask if we could have a room on the lower level as my husband has recently had a heart attack and I have a very bad back and bilateral knee replacements, we were told the rooms on lower levels only had kitchenette and we are not suitable for our requirements. Unfortunately, the staff did not offer us any assistance, even though they knew that we were struggling and our older, so we were disappointed in their attitude to our plight, we will not stay there again, even though the apartment layout was really good the cleanliness was very substandard, especially during times of Covid when extra attention to detail should be applied. Overall it was a disappointing experience and we could not wait to leave.

I don’t know where to start with this place. If you are given Building C Level G Room 28 (Two bedroom). Demand a full refund immediately. The place was horrible. We booked here back in March for NYEW with the family and we were greeted with fresh stains on the couch, filthy stained carpets, holes in the wall, a dishwasher that hadn’t been cleaned, the whole room stunk, the lights in the bedrooms were old and tattered, the blinds had marks all over them, there was rust on all the fixings in the bathroom, the shower door barely opened and when it did – it squeaked louder than the TV, the TV reception was literally non-existent, the sponge they allowed us to have was cut in half and the outside area was full of dirt and leaves preventing us from going out there. Have a look at the pictures and see for yourself – do not stay here. It was obvious the room had not been cleaned thoroughly prior to our arrival nor had it been deep cleaned in quite some time. It was disgusting to be in there and made our NYE rather depressing.
The location is great but that is all. I’ll give credit to the Manager as we came to a fair compromise for compensation for the state of the room I tried to book in somewhere else but being NYE – there wasn’t much around. This particular room should not be allowed to be rented out to anyone in its current state – it needs about $10K spent on it for it to be half respectable. I can’t speak for the other rooms but if this is the standard of our room – I wouldn’t expect much more.

Immediately the foul smell of damp and mustiness greets you as you enter. Very dirty and unwelcoming. 1 cockroach emerged from the wardrobe, another running along the wall to seek safety behind the onscreen tv. Both had to be eliminated to aid our ability to ‘sleep’. The carpet and sofa were smelly and stained. The fridge was not clean or fresh. The washing machine was ancient and the clothes airer rusted. We were obliged to spend 1 night in this awful environment as we had arrived after midnight, after a long bus and train journey. The next morning we complained and the management offered to clean the room again. They claimed the room had just had a new sofa and carpet. We replied that it was just a disgusting room in need of a complete refurbishment. We were given a refund for 6 nights, having deducted the first night. We left immediately, totally disheartened. The pool was not very pleasant and the bbq needed a severe cleaning to. Yet, this place got average 8 out of 10 reviews on booking.com and the photos bore little resemblance to reality.

Stayed here for 3 nights, absolute terrible place, dirty, so smelly, the only good thing was the towels were lovely and soft and they were changed daily. The carpets were filthy and old. The apartment was roomy but so very noisy, right on the main road intersection. No lifts, just stairs. I honestly couldn't wait to get out of there and come back home. Spoke to another couple opposite us and they said they felt the same and for the price it was not cheap. Best to find other accommodation in Brisbane. Peter and Lynette

Arrived late having flown in from the UK (only 25+ hours to arrive at a locked door).
No info about Late arrivals in our booking paperwork, so we stood outside the gate for a bit feeling confused and concerned.
Eventually saw a number to call and our keys were in a key safe (which wasn’t locked!)
Wanted self catering, and was disappointed there was only a microwave and no hot plate, although to be fair the website doesn’t mention the latter. Our booking agent intimidated there was a full ‘kitchenette’ which I took to mean a hob/hot plate wasn’t the case.
The room was clean but very ugly! There was a wardrobe with a chest of drawers in it - the drawers couldn’t be opened due to the unit being wedged in.
We knew there was building work around but didn’t know how close. The pool was out of action due to falling objects and brick dust.
We had an outside patio (ground floor) and the patio furniture was caked in a thick coating of dirt and building dust.
Central location a plus, close to local shops etc. as a bolt hole for a city visit it was ok but basic. Wouldn’t stay again.
Oh and didn’t find the staff friendly or helpful.

Best unit complex and great location ! A quick and easy five minute walk to the Convention Centre and a couple of minutes more to walk to the Southbank Markets. The parkview apartments are sooo easy to stay at when attending a Conference at the Brisbane convention centre.

Room was shabby every thing was old and worn only one lot of cutlery. Wanted a balcony got one but it looked up onto the main street. So disappointed couldn't wait to get out
