On the south side of the CBD very close to art gallery, QPAC and library. Bus it across the bridge to the CBD if needed. This small mainly residential hotel is quiet and the room was very clean with everything you would need. The hotel offers free parking which is a big cost saving if you need to drive to Brisbane. The staff were very helpful and let me leave my car there early morning. I will be staying here again next trip to Brisbane.

Booked to stay in the 2 bedroom apartment over New Years. The cost of the booking was nearly $500 a night which is quite steep. The advertised pictures on Expedia show that the room has a nice view with a balcony but when we got to the room we had a patio area with a big internal wall to look at.

Once we got to the room the patio door had been left open and there was water all over the floor of the lounge room because it had been raining overnight. I have then tried to lock the patio door but I have then realised I wasn’t given a key for it. I have then walked down to reception to request the key and the female at the desk said she would come up shortly to sort out for us. We have waited in the room for nearly 45 minutes for her and she didn’t come up. I walked back down to reception to speak with her and she said she simply “forgot.” I have then told her that we needed to leave the hotel because we had plans. I have asked her to sort out the issue before we returned to our room later in the night which she agreed to do. When we have returned the door was not locked. The room could therefore not be secured overnight which was a massive safety issue.

Further to this the room was so dirty. The patio area had rubbish all over it and dirt. There were stains all over the floor as well.

I have then tried to brush my teeth in the morning and found that the sink in the main bathroom could not drain. I tried everything to get it to drain out which did not work.

Further to this you are expected to basically clean the whole room and empty all the trash cans and clean dishes at the end of stay. I do not believe that this should be the requirement of guests. Are cleaners not employed at this hotel?

The only reason I didn’t give this place a 1 star was because it has an awesome rooftop balcony with great views and also because it’s close to the city.

Overall not worth $500 a night. Wouldn’t stay again.

The location is the big winner for these apartments. Less than a 5 minute walk to GOMA, State Library and the Queensland Museum, about 8 minutes to QPAC, Woolies Metro, Fish Lane and South Brisbane Train Station and about 10 minutes walk to the Brisbane Eye. We did a late arrival self check-in and the instructions were clear and simple. We found a spot to park in the underground car park easily. There is also a convenience store right next door to the entry foyer of the building. We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment. Heaps of room and lots of storage space. Part of the reason it is good value for money is that it is an older building. Some of the furniture is looking a bit worn, the windows were far from clean, some of the carpet is a little threadbare and the microwave was pretty old but you can't expect 5 star quality with such a good price. The general cleanliness was good, there was a huge fridge and we had 3 different balconies and a washing machine and dryer. We had a problem with the vacuum cleaner (very old) but the staff were helpful and got us a different one. There were only two downsides for us (but remember that this could be unique to our apartment). First, there were only 2 air conditioners (one in the lounge and one in the master bedroom) which meant the whole back part of the unit (around a corner from the main room) was very hot. The two bedrooms in that part had ceiling fans only. Second, the bedrooms have roll-down blinds with considerable gaps around them. This meant a lot of light shining into bedrooms 1 and 3 from about 4:30 am. Not a problem if light does not wake you. Problem if it does.

Honestly don’t know where to start but I’ll try, conveniently located just metres from the main train line and only 2 doors down from Govt accomodation which attracts only the most classiest citizens to its doors. Sound proofing the windows/rooms was obviously not a viable option at the time of building. First thing we noticed when we entered the room was the soiled couch that greeted us upon entry. Throw a spare sheet over it and bobs your uncle. Beautiful views of the back Laneway and the glorious sound of the council rubbish truck each morning collect his load. Broken shower heads, stained headboards and beds that made me wake up in the middle of the first night and decide the couch would be a more comfortable choice. Dining chairs had seen better days so we just ate on the couch.
But apparently if your in the mood to gather there and drink till 7am with music full volume that’s absolutely ok as the building doesn’t have a 24/7 concierge to monitor this

I don’t recommend staying here if you can help it. The staff seem to be doing the best they can but the apartment was in desperate need of a deep clean, maintenance, replacement of the battered furniture and some inviting touches.

The couch had stains and no cushions, and was of the cheapest, uncomfortable kind. There was no art on the walls & lots of scuff marks as well as multiple stains on the bedroom carpet. Finger marks all over the windows and sliding doors, light switches, fridge door and food grime all over a dining chair. No breakfast bar stools or a seat for the desk. No bedside lamps and plug sockets only on one side of the beds.

The beds were okay though and the pillows didn’t smell, nor did the rooms. The aircon worked, the bathroom fans need replacing as they no longer extract effectively. We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom for 3 of us and it was spacious, lots of storage. The kitchen is pretty well equipped, with loads of pots and pans.

The location is close to good eateries and sights, but the immediate view and surrounds are pretty grim, with little natural light into the apt during the day. The car park is pretty tight and we had a mid size hatchback.

The roof space seemed nice enough, although when we went up at night one outside light was flickering badly, and there were none around the bbq area or dining, so people were trying to cook and eat in the dark. I also couldn’t see any shade for during the day. The spa was working and looks large.

We had been recommended this place by friends and we were happy with most of it. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment for 3 nights without a city view but were pleasantly surprised to find out we actually were given an apartment with a city view. The location of this apartment was fantastic with the museum, art galleries and State library a VERY short walk away. A little further away but still only a 15-20 min walk away are the Southbank parklands where you can go for a swim, play at park and take advantage of the free boat ride that goes down the river. Lots of cafes and restaurants to choose from in the Southbank area.
Apartment was clean and the view was amazing. The hot tub on the roof was great too.
There were 2 down points about this apartment and they were the fact that one shower had very low pressure and the shower head wouldn’t stay up. A bit irritating but there were two showers in this apartment so it was ok. And also one of the covers on bed had a stain on it.
All in all a good stay and we would stay here again.

We had to stay for a few nights while our home was being renovated and this bnb was chosen for location.
While the apartment was surface cleaned, the furniture and fittings were in disrepair. The front door to the apartment only opened partially as it was damaged and scraped on the floor. Upholstery on bedheads was covered in dust, the sofa cushions were visibly dirty and the toilet in the ensuite had a huge crack in it. The ensuite was unusable due to the overwhelming smell of urine. We used the alternate bathroom instead.
Carpet in the bedroom had large visible stains on it and the tables in the living/dining were all scratched and marked.
Bed linen was clean however the blanket was worn and had a large brown stain on it.
The location is good being close to the CBD however the noise of traffic is considerable and the windows are not double glazed so a restful sleep is not assured.
We were supposed to stay for 4 nights but chose to leave after only 2 nights.

The room was in a nice, new building. The apartment was very spacious, with a full kitchen and separate bedroom. The two young women at the front desk were friendly and helpful.

The location was great, on the south side of the river across from central Brisbane. It was an easy walk into town or to the entertainment area along Grey Street.

The one big downside was that we were informed when we arrived that the Air Conditioning in our room was not working. They said they had put in a temporary portable AC unit and we would get a 10% discount for our inconvenience. I thought this sounded fine. Unfortunately, the portable AC unit was completely ineffective. Hot air was leaking out the exhaust pipe, so it negated the cold air coming from the unit, and our room did not cool down, even if we left the AC running for hours. If I had known the room was going to be that uncomfortably hot, I would have asked for more than a 10% discount!

Husband and I stayed for a premium night $390 for a weekend (concert) so expected it to be basic at an over inflated price but this was beyond awful. Very dodgy building and surrounds, apartment has a unique odour combining mould and stale cigarettes. The general state of upkeep was abysmal and the furnishings somehow even worse. Honestly had the entirety of Brisbane CBD not been booked out we would have walked straight out. Broken/dirty furniture/electrical appliances and generally feeling dirty this place is sad sad sad. Interestingly we were asked for feedback on our way out. I clearly and politely told them our concerns including sharing photos of the unit. Staff were somewhat apologetic and offered a 15% refund but this doesn’t even bring the price to their average rate of $250pn. All I can say is never again!

Great location, very helpful front desk attendant - he was polite, helpful and always willing to offer services to the guests. A shame the spa is closed due to COVID. It would be nice for this to re-open now we are able to travel in QLD. Would definitely stay again, value for money, great sized apartment, all the needs of an apartment, tidy, roomy, and well equipped.

Hello do you have an email address for the apartments?
Answer from Caz G
Lismore, Australia167 contributions15 helpful votes
Could not find an email address as all their bookings go through online booking sites. We used bookingcom who were fab, when I had questions to ask I was able to message via bookingcom and they passed them on and were replied to promptly. It is a great place to stay and we were lucky to have a apt looking towards the river and city so beautiful night time view. Well insulated for sound with good aircon and comfy beds. If you were wanting to contact them for a long stay I would try their parent company sungrasscomau who handle the longer leases I think. There are lots of great places to eat close by especially the Peel Street Tavern. Hope you get the answers you need sorry I couldn’t be more help with the email addy.

Hello Katrina Thanks for you time to raise thus question Our furniture are all brand new, and the other traveller called us at midnight however we did not find anything upon checking the beds with the pest management professionals. We however were able to move to a different room if there is anything guests feel uncomfortable during their stay, given the fact there were spare rooms to use Please be assured we are working as hard as we can to provide the best services and rooms for all incoming guests.
