We found this a well-priced option for a family traveling with a car on a self-drive holiday (we walked to the town center the first day, but it’s probably a little too far in the December afternoon heat with a 6 year old). Great pool area for kids.

Desert Palms has become our first choice in Alice Springs. We have stayed here several times and are often down in Alice from Tennant Creek and love that the villas are all separated from the others. The price for the accommodation is on-point and whole place feels like a lovely resort, the villas are always clean and comfortable and having a full kitchen available is very handy. The bathrooms are quite basic, but do the job. We've never had a single issue here, and we are particularly grateful for the excellent service recently when Tennant Creek went into lockdown so we were unable to get to Alice Springs and stay here. Our booking had ticked over to 'non-refundable' but they were very kind and understanding and refunded us anyway. Much appreciated given that this very frustrating situation was completely out of our control.

We had originally booked a more expensive hotel however their cancellation policy left a lot to be desired with an emerging COVID situation. Desert Palms were excellent. They had a very flexible cancellation policy (which thankfully we didn't need to use) and clean, comfortable accommodation. It was good for the price. The pool was nice but busy. The staff were okay - not that friendly but nothing to complain about. The golf club over the back has very good meals.

Customer Service? The reception here has no customer service at all. Extremely rude as soon as you walk into reception. No hello or welcome it is disgusting What an attitude the female had when I checked in My cabin didn’t have any towels so I had the pleasure of dealing with Miss Personality again Oh what fun

Dear Giddyup, I am sorry to read you were not happy with our customer service and I would like to assure you I am looking into it as this is not what we like to hear. We normally only ever get praise for how helpful and pleasant the staff are. Thank you for bring to my attention with your review. It is a shame you could not have spoken to the manager why you were staying with us so we could have sorted out at the time. Kind regards Angie (Owner)
