Needed somewhere to stay for 2 weeks whilst visiting our Sydney office.

Arrived early but were allocated a room straight away, very helpful and friendly Reception staff.

A very central location with Gadigal Metro, Townhall Light rail and station just around the corner. Not to mention a Woolies supermarket close by and a good local cafe (la famiglia) across the street.

Our 1 bedroom suite had a large bedroom with king size bed and plenty of storage for both clothes and suitcases. A large tv on the wall in both lounge and bedroom.

The lounge/diner was fully equipped with washing machine, tumble dryer, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, iron and ironing board

Plenty of cooking utensils and crockery.

Housekeeping were excellent, the suite was spotless after every visit and they were happy to supply a clothes rack for us instead of using the tumble dryer. Toiletries were also replaced regularly and small tubes of washing up liquid and clothes washing liquid were provided to start with.

The only slight negative point was some longer waits for one of the three lifts but don’t let that put you off.

I checked into the hotel on February 5th. The building is 51 stories, and I'm staying near the top for seven nights. The longest I waited for the elevator was about 50 seconds (less than a minute), so I haven't experienced any noticeable delays. It's very well managed, clean, with courteous staff. The room is clean and equipped well. The housekeeping schedule to tidy rooms is at fixed intervals (i.e., 4th day, 7th day, etc.); however, when I needed something like detergent, tea bags, fresh towels, etc., they immediately sent it to the suite. The gym has many cardio equipment and weight training machines, and free weights are open 24/7. A large pool, dry sauna, and hot tub are available until 10 p.m. The public transportation (trams, trains, and buses) and the renowned Woolworths supermarket with food court are steps away. All the attractions are within walking distance (even for my 86-year-old mother, who walked to most of them with me). I would disregard all the negative comments and won't hesitate to rebook again.

We loved the location (right in middle of city and close to light rail) and the suite was spacious and lovely with views to harbour and Sydney Harbour Bridge. We stayed in a 3 bedroom altitude suite. Beds were very comfortable and shower was hot with good water pressure. The lift renovations were only a minor issue for us, we only had to wait once. Fabulous place to stay, hope to be back.

Firstly let’s deal with the star rating. It’s not 5 star - probably 3 at best. I was initially booked into room 3403 which had a single basin below a blown mirror as a bathroom which was shared with a laundry- more tenement than 5 star. To be fair on complaining I was put into a two bed room 3704 which was an improvement. The furniture is the cheapest money can buy and the lack of pictures or adornment makes the flat seem very impersonal. The kitchen has the basics but for a 4 night stay you get no room service without paying more and to invest in washing and cleaning materials seems expensive. All fair enough for a $200 a night motel but for over $500?Meriton you need to raise your game

I am honestly not a person to complain but my room was dirty. When I first arrived I rung reception immediately to inform them of hair in the plug hole of my shower and they came and vacuumed the shower. (Didn’t clean with a rag or disinfect) Tiles and windows were dirty around our 2 bedroom unit which I paid $370NZD for!! When I checked out in the morning I again told them their room was dirty and the staff agreed!! No offer of compensation was ever offered. Very poor, wouldn’t book again and wouldn’t recommend

While the separate bedroom and living area with small kitchen & laundry area was nice and the fact that we could leave our luggage with the hotel after checkout on Jan 2, 2023 was nice, the overall stay was below par for what we paid for the rooms for 6 nights. There were these major problems: The info folder in the suite stated there would only be limited room services to include DAILY replacement of towels, that in fact only happened 2 times during our stay. The other BIG problem was that starting on the 2nd day of our stay small gnat like bus appeared in out bathroom shower stall. This was reported to guest services and while they did send someone up to spray for the bugs, that turned out to be a temporary fix for about 3/4 of the day. The bug issue was again reported to the hotel desk staff in person on the morning of our 3rd day and as far as I could tell, NOTHING was done about. We had to live with this bug issue for the rest of our stay . Each time a shower was taken, the first thing that we did was to use the flexible shower head to wash all the bugs of the shower stall walls and ceiling before actually taking a shower. Since this was reported to desk staff in person and guest services via phone with no fix of this problem, I rated the stay in this hotel as poor. During the checkout process, while done in person at the desk, I felt rushed by the desk staff and wasn't given a chance to discuss these issues with the desk staff. I feel that the hotel should have refunded some money to us for the lack of resolution to these problems, especially the bug issue. At this point I would still like to see some money refunded due to these problems. Based on this I would NOT recommend this as a quality place to stay in Sydney.

Great location, close to main attractions.
However, the hotel service is poor. The check-in procedure is very long. The booking and check-in process encountered many problems, and the reservation information management system was poor. There is no housekeeping service throughout the stay. On the last day, the housekeeping staff cleaned our room, but threw away all the empty cartons that we had prepared to pack fragile items when traveling by plane. We contacted the reception and wanted to receive assistance but did not receive any assistance.

Stayed 3 x nights at the Meriton on Pitt Street in a 2 x bedroom apartment .
Very modern luxury apartment , comfy bedding , everything is top of the range , 2 bathrooms , one with a free standing bath , laundry facilities , washing machine and dryer , balcony , mounted TV in each bedroom , everything you need for a family stay .
The Gym was well equiped and modern along with the pool and sauna .
All the facilities were very upmarket , fast elevators , definitely a luxury stay in the heart of Sydney in a great location close to shops , restaurants , bars and a short walk to circular quays and darling harbour , Woolworth round the corner
Even had a call on our second night asking if we were enjoying our stay which is a nice touch and does not happen very often these days .
All in all we had a great 3 x day family stopover and I would have no hesitation in staying here again and highly recommend these apartments

The check-in process was an absolute nightmare. Only 1 elevator working so once we parked we went up the stairs (that reeked of urine) to be greeted with a huge line in the lobby that was almost out the door. There was no aircon on so the lobby was steifling. There was people standing around everywhere as there is only one table and chairs provided for people to sit on. After waiting in line for at least 20 minutes we finally were able to check in and get our room keys. We waited another 20 minutes in the stinking hot lobby to actually get into the 1 working elevator that also had no aircon in it so it was basically a hotbox. The 6 of us were squished in the elevator with another 8-10 people in it for another 20 or so minutes until it finally reached our floor. We exit the elevator into yet another non air-conditioned stinking hot floor, get to our room and our key doesn't work. At this point it had been an hour since we arrived at the hotel. We were all sitting on the floor in the hallway dying of heat absolutely dumbfounded on what we were meant to do when it just took us so long to get up here. We tried to call the front desk and no one was answering. One of our guests decided to just go down the stairs instead of waiting for the 1 elevator as we had a dinner booking and needed to get into our room asap. We were on the 49th floor and with it being 2 flights of stairs per floor that's 76 flights of stairs to get to the lobby on floor 11 then 76 flights to get all the way back up. He was dripping in sweat and bright red by the time he went up all those flights of stairs and I was just so embarrassed this is where I had booked us all to stay. He said the man at the front desk said it was our fault the keys weren't working as I must have put the keys near my phone and that it happens alot. I have never heard of or experienced this before in any hotel I've stayed at but if it apparently happens a lot at your hotel how about you tell your guests about it before sending them on a 40 minute trip up to their room then saying it's their fault? So incredibly rude.
The actual rooms were okay but in need of a refresh and a better clean. All the light switches, power points, bed side lamps, toilet roll holders and towel racks were coated in dust so shows the cleaners just do a bare minimum clean between each guest. One of the rooms had the bedside table in the middle of the doorway so the door couldn't be closed and another had the power points behind the bed head where they couldn't be accessed. The TV didn't work properly, the wifi didn't work. Just an overall poor experience. I have stayed in so many of the hotels in Sydney and this is the first one I will actively avoid booking again.

Don’t worry about the recent elevator comments there’s nothing to worry about. Max wait time was 2 minutes.
We were in one of the penthouses AND this was during Taylor Swift’s weekend so I had expected it to be awful but it wasn’t.
Our apt was 5101 the east penthouse floor 51. Generally all very dated and needing a spruce up but the views and the location made up for that.
Very very basic kitchen bits n bobs but we didn’t cook anyway so didn’t bother us.
We were paying around $2500 NZ per night during this time due to the Tay Tay inflation - not worth such a price tag but again I was pretty happy all the same!
The service was excellent from
all staff.
Wifi is terrrrreibbbbble but they reimbursed me for the excess data we had to purchase for my daughter.
My son used the gym. Nothing fancy but adequate for a work out.
Location is fantastic.
Can’t complain at all.
