Stayed for 4 nights. While location was great along with close proximity to so many sights and attractions, I am extremely disappointed in the quality of the cleaning daily and the terrible WiFi connection for such a well known brand of accommodation. Coffee table was not wiped down daily as there were crumbs 1 night from when I ate in the room for dinner. Vacuuming was not done daily and bed not made properly Friday morning, one of the pillows was left on the lounge. Restaurant was amazing despite the pork belly being tough. Tasted like it had been heated up in the microwave. Breakfast delicious and great choice of food. I did inform the front desk of the poor WiFi reception but it didn't improve so I let it go. Upon reading other reviews, I am not the only one who had the same issue.

Hi Sandy, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We agree that the hotel is in a very convenient location and is a great base for exploring Sydney sites. We are sorry to hear that that the housekeeping was not to the usual high standard. Should you ever need housekeeping services during the day, please contact the front office team who will be able to organise and assist with any other room related questions, including wifi access. We agree that the food in Rowley's Restaurant is delicious, and showcases modern Australian cuisine, with each dish freshly made to order. We thank you for your points of improvement, and will be advising the team. We do hope you will stay with us again. Kind Regards, Mitch Mclachlan GM

This hotel is a short walk from Sydney University. My visit was primarily planned around visits to the NSW Art Gallery and the university, (for a trip down memory lane). Public transport was readily accessible, with multiple services to the Hyde Park/Museum/Art Gallery area.
Hotel staff were very helpful, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel restaurant provided room service, (which I used in order to minimise any Covid risk), and the food quality was pleasing.
My only complaint would be the $25 per day parking fee, which resulted in a 17% surcharge on top of the initial cost of accommodation. This is the sort of charge one might expect from a CBD hotel.

Only stayed one night for a show that was in town. Beds were really comfortable. Breakfast Buffet was included in room price but was a let down, it was just very basic. Room itself was surprisingly large. Would stay again.

Rydges Camperdown is a real gem. Recently refurbished to a very high standard and staffed with the nicest most accommodating professionals I’ve ever encountered, this establishment has been my preferred go to place when staying in Sydney for sometime. 10 minutes to the CBD with the bus at the door, it is an ideal location for people wanting a quality place to stay in Sydney without the high prices of being in the heart of the city.
Highly recommended.

I stayed here for 5 nights for work over a very busy weekend at then end of February and was pleasantly surprised - the rooms have been refurbished, they are spacious and well appointed. I stayed in a queen room which had space for a desk and chair and a 2-seat sofa, coffee table and small ottoman. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. The bathroom had a walk in shower with good lighting over a generous basin and bench which also had storage underneath. A simple but sufficient mini bar had nice mugs, cups and glassware. The iron and ironing board were clean and functioning. There was a solid bench for a large suitcase and a full length mirror. The restaurant offered great breakfast options 7 days a week. Lunch and dinner is available Mon-Fri and the menu was also good. Restaurant staff were super friendly and helpful. Receptions Team also welcoming and helpful. For a busy part of the city, the room was very quiet

Won’t stay again what a boring hotel.
No room service at all and no mention of No Room Service when we booked. No list of local restaurants that would deliver
No alcohol in mini bar, no water no Biscuits for tea or coffee and no selections of tea!! Where doesn’t offer a select of tea?? The only thing in the fridge were long life milk satchels...
Basically we paid $220 for a bed and park our car.
We would rather pay $50 more anywhere else and have a few things in the room to make it a little more hospitable.
It was more like a hostel.

Thank you for writing us a review, I am very sorry that your stay was affected by our COVID downsizing. We have had to suspend our in-house room service and minibar, we are working with a delivery service to provide a selection of food from local restaurants and minibar on demand during these times. We hope to continue reinstating these services as conditions improve and provide a convenient location and comfortable rooms for all of our guests! Regards, Andrew B | Duty Manager

We had a wonderful stay at the Rydges Camperdown. It far exceeded our expectations for the price we paid. Really excellent value. The room we stayed in on the 4th floor had been recently re-furbished and was lovely. We called ahead as we knew we would be arriving early and they were more than happy to let us into our room at 11am instead of the regular check-in of 2pm. This was such a great bonus. Our rate included full hot breakfast which was varied and very tasty. The staff were helpful and extremely accommodating. All in all we couldn't fault the hotel and our stay was fantastic. We will be back to do it all again in the not too distant future.

My wife and I booked a Luxury Escape stay with this hotel recently and were very happy with the result.
We were very happy with our room, clean, tidy and spacious.
The one thing that stood out for us was the quality of service from every staff member we encountered. Everybody we had contact with was friendly, courteous and helpful... absolute top marks, Rydges should be very proud of everyone involved
A quick thumbs up also to the kitchen. Breakfast was included and it was outstanding, easily the match of any of the local trendy cafes

We have stayed at a particular motel in this area everytime we have been attending medical appts at RPA, however got so fed up with the service and the non cleanliness of the premises, we decided to try the Rydges on Missenden Street. On entering the fresh clean smell is such a change, the staff member was so friendly and was a great help. Fantastic first impression. Got in the lift, found our room, so lovely and clean. Everything was well appointed. We got a discount for our room and then to find this beaut room. Had a blowout with my shoes, asked staff where I should go to find some glue. Staff member was very helpful. Thanks Andrew. You are a brilliant asset for this motel.

We bought the breakfast plus parking deal , breakfast was quick and delicious and the parking could be extended beyond check out for free. The room was spotless with a great view and very comfortable . You can park the car and catch a bus for a short ride into the City or Chinatown outside the front door . In short very clean comfortable and convenient , its a no brainer
