After reading the reviews, I was really hesitant about staying at this location. Decided to stay for the four nights that I had booked and give it a shot. We were in apartment number 306. We arrived a little after 12:45 and waited for the clerk to return. It was around 5 minutes. He let us check in early. Yes, you do have to check in at their sister property and all of that information is well displayed when you read the policies on the Choice website. There were a number of maintenance issues we reported the next morning and all of them were addressed that day except one, and a part was needed in order to fix that item which was done the next day. The king bed was two twins pushed together and could use replacing. We were offered a queen room but said no. The cleaning staff could be trained better when cleaning the bathroom. A little bathroom cleaner with bleach would clean the mold in the corners of the shower. Note: it is a handicapped room so the bathroom shower is an open area, no shower curtain, no step into the shower, just a tile floor. All appliances worked as required. The view out the balcony was to another building with balconies. It is in walking distance (25 minute walk) to a mall with two grocery stores, a cinema, etc. Note: there is a QE grocery store a block away however it is very expensive. The separate bedroom and living room area was fantastic. The washer/dryer is located in the apartment. The kitchen had dishes, pots, pans, coffee/tea maker, toaster, stove, oven, microwave and refrigerator. There was laundry detergent packets and dishwashing/dishwasher packets. We didn’t swim in the pool. It needs to be shocked, a little on the green side. All in all, it was much better than some of the recent reviews. Yes, the apartment needs a little updating and carpet cleaning, but we would definitely stay again if in Sydney.

We needed to be near RPA so stayed here. First room we checked into had no internet so we moved to a second room and yes still no internet. Microwave didn't work. Washing machine did but leaked. Clothes drier had been removed and ugly holes left in the wall. Carpets were filthy and the whole room was dusty. Car park door left open at night (Broken) which was a worry. The place needs to be stripped out - Upgraded - and better cleaning staff hired

Although the apartment was clean and tidy, there were some elements that needs attention.

The door to the balcony is very sticky.

There is a constant DRIP in the bathroom - somewhere internal in the drains

The basin faucet was loose and water goes everywhere

The shower head has calcium rust

The ducted vent in the ceiling was partially dislodged and hanging.

When we approached the issues with management, the only compensation was a free upgrade when we next book.

We have kindly declined the offer and won't be visiting again

Where do I start? This place needs a serious injection of funds to lift the quality of the rooms and on site management that cares, gives you the rooms you booked and not try to scam... ask for cash for parking so they can pocket the proceeds !.
Tired, run down.. over priced for the lack of quality.
Thread bare towels, fridges leveled on cardboard, broken dishwasher racks, no mattress protectors, beds that need new mattresses, lounges that need steam cleaning, thread bare carpets, fridges without shelves, elevators that don't work so you have to lug your luggage up stairs.. not great if you're incapacitated.
Stained sheets and tea tea towels.
King bed that has two different mattresses.
Just glad need bugs were not included.
This accommodation may be close to RPA hospital but it sure needs to lift it's game in the quality of accommodation. Perhaps Non Quality Apartments is a better name.

Needed somewhere urgent to stay as hubby was transferring to RPA hospital and I needed to be close by.
Had tried calling a couple of times but calls kept going to a voice-mail with no one returning my calls so decided to make an online booking to guarantee I had a place to sleep.
Unhelpful, unmotivated lady on the desk who has no idea of customer service...
To say the room was a big disappointment is an understatement, it was filthy,
No underblanket on the bed, just a sheet straight on the unmatched 2 single mattresses, A dirty kichen and bathroom, the list goes on... as the office had closed by the time I actually saw these things nothing could be done to fix the problems.
If I hadn't booked a 2 night, non refundable booking I would have gone elsewhere .
The next day, thankfully a different receptionist ( Sneha )was on the desk and she went out of her way to rectify the situation.
Changed my room without hesitation
ensured I was happy with the changes, Nothing was too much trouble for her.
Sneha, and the fact that it's so handy to the hospital are the only positives about this place.
Nothing wrong with " Old apartments" BUT, there is no excuse for dirtiness of this place.
Never again....

Iam highly dissatisfied with my stay at Camperdown. The curtains had holes in them, toilet was broken and leaking, the apartment was generally neglected. Lights in kitchen were not working and bedside light was also Not working. At a cost of $329 for the stay the quality is unacceptable. Based on this experience I have cancelled another booking that I had planned for 3 nights the next week. We had booked in here to be close to the hospital and be comfortable during a stressful time and staying here has not helped! It really is disgraceful.

This an older style apartment building with spacious rooms. But the management needs a rocket up their arse for the state of the building. And total lack of attention to obvious maintenance issues. Staff moving seen moving appliances between rooms. Major basic safety issues go unaddressed. Signs of water leaking everywhere.
If you happen to have to book this property. Demand to see the room before paying any money and then don't stay.

I don't know where to even start!!!'
We booked 2 rooms.
When we arrived one of the rooms had not been cleaned, there were beer and wine bottles scattered through the apartment, dirty towels on the floor and unmade beds. The phones did not work in either room to call reception to voice our concerns.
Lights and fans did not work.
One of the apartment doors did not close properly, we did not realize till we returned about 12:30pm and the door to our apartment was wide open, being a group of women we were very concerned about this!!

Then in the morning we heard a loud crashing sound outside and when we went to look on the balcony area part of the roof had fallen in...I can only imagine what would have happened if we had been out there having our morning coffee.

SO DANGEROUS.
I have emailed with photos etc. and asked if management can get in contact with me and demanded a refund, I am yet to hear back.

Stayed one night here recently. I booked a two bedroom apartment wells in advance. We were given room 501 and upon entering we were overwhelmed by a strong musty mildewy smell. Discovered a hole in the ceiling about 200mm in diameter that had been cut out and left in repaired from recent water damage through the roof of the building. The hole was surrounded by water stain marks. Timber around windows showed signs of water damage. My wife is asthmatic and immediately felt unwell from the moldy smell.
We complained and were eventually moved to another room but the manager on duty was of the opinion that the room did not smell and was not sympathetic at all to the situation. It was disgraceful that they let that room (501) to clients in that condition.
The second room we had was in better condition but the dishwasher did not work, the tap in the bathroom could not be turned off due to faulty washer, and one of the toilets took several hours to re-fill.
Our room overlooked the pool that was filthy and full of leaves with rubbish left around the pool. By accident we also discovered that our room key also opened the door of the room next door indicating that it would possibly open other doors as well. A definite concern from a security perspective. We have stayed here many times over the years when it was managed by Quest and Adara and the standard was good then but now it is run down and needs a lot of much needed maintenance. It has been neglected.

Answer from Mukesh Rajbanshi
The nearest train station is Newtown which is about a 10 minute walk (500 metres away). Also you have direct buses almost every 5 minutes which connect you to Central station, which connects you to almost every important place in Australia.

Sorry it took so long to answer. Then University is about a 10min walk,(depends which part you want). There is a shuttle service from the airport, but you may have to change buses. I hope you enjoy your visit to OZ.
