This is our first visit to Sydney and Australia and what a fabulous hotel this is - all the staff are so helpful and friendly. We had an Executive Room overlooking the Chinese Garden, which was lovely. The location was perfect for us and very convenient for everywhere! We stayed for 7 nights and it really felt like home each time we came back to our room and it really was a great start to our holiday! Thank you so much to everyone at the hotel.

We stayed one night on Monday with my 2 and 3 year old children. I needed to book an interconnecting room and contacted the hotel via email. Julia at reservations had it sorted very quickly. Check in was quick and the lady who greeted us was so lovely (I wish I had observed her name) Helpful, friendly and professional. Our rooms were great and perfect for travelling with kids. Rooms very clean and a very decent size. Check out was contactless however we needed luggage stored and our parking validated. The man on the desk was again very helpful, friendly and professional. I cannot fault the staff at all and management should be proud of their service.
The location was perfect for what we wanted and a few mins walk to Darling Harbour, cafes, Power House museum, Light Rail. There is a great children's outdoor play ground just a few mins walk away. Directly opposite the hotel is a mini mart and a Mcdonalds. Parking was again a few min walk at the Wilson Car park with reasonable rates. It was evident COVID cleaning and precautions were being taking seriously without overly impacting guest experience. My only suggestion would be informing guests via a note in room if the lounge cushions and bed bolsters had been cleaned. I was hesitant and packed them up in a cupboard.
I would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights. It was our first visit and won’t be our last.
The hotel is very new and is very clean and modern.
We had a basic room with king bed overlooking the Chinese Garden.
The room was spacious with a modern bathroom and the normal comfortable Accor bed. A large screen Samsung tv was built into the wall.
COVID safe precautions are in place and there is sanitising gel available throughout the hotel.
The location is great- a few steps to the markets, China Town and Darling Harbour.
Although we didn’t use it, parking is available at a nearby car park at a reduced rate of $45/night.
The only reason that we did not rate it at 5 stars is that, I guess, due to COVID, the restaurant inside the hotel is only open for a limited menu breakfast. For lunch or dinner, the only option is the Pump House (which is linked to the hotel). It serves nice food but has (very) loud music and very uncomfortable seating. It is a bar serving food brasserie style.
However, there are many other dining options within a short walk from the hotel.

Spent two nights there for a short “ city escape” break with two other friends. last week. Great location as it right in the middle of darling square, chinatown, darling harbour & within a few minutes walk to Sydney CBD. Restaurants, cafes, shoppings & sight seeing are right before your doorstep. It next door to Darling Harbour’s Chinese Garden & right in the newly developed Darling Square hub.
There is parking at Darling Square for $50 2 x nights (overnight) almost next door to the hotel. Suggest you pre book this directly with Wilsons at it is cheaper with this current rate. There is a McDonald, small convenient grocery, Starbucks & a thai massage place ( which is terrific after a full on walking day! we went there twice) opposite the hotel. The Exchange building next door also have numerous food stalls. I asked for an early check in which the hotel said they will try & accommodate. Normal check in is 2 pm, we arrived at 12:30pm & our room was ready.

Room is good size for three people with a large double bed & a sofa bed. Bathroom is clean & good size but the sink took forever to drain. Housekeeping seem to come earlier (around 9 am) when we were still in bed. It is a busy hotel & there was a long queue when we arrived but there was only one person serving at the reception so we waited in line for about 15 minutes.

Overall, the hotel is very comfortable & very convenient for our three day city escape. The location is wonderful & excellent to explore darling square (especially if you are a foodie as there are so many to choose from!). It is central to many Sydney CBD’s sights & place of interest & all within walking distances! We will go back for another city scape break here soon!

Good location in the Darling Harbour area although little sister to the other Novotel's in the area. Rooms were clean but a little on the small size. we stayed on the 3 floor overlooking the gardens but unfortunately we only saw the road outside and the roof a house in the gardens so suggest asking for a higher floor if paying extra for the view.
Staff was pleasant, Food was in accordance of a four star property.
Management needs to keep reception and lobby area clear as it became congested at checkin/checkout times

I stayed in rm#235.

The hotel is situated conveniently within short walking distance to Chinatown, Darling Square/Quarter/Harbour and Townhall. I required car parking, but I booked car park space online via Wilsons Carparking website for a cheaper rate for Darling Square location.

Check in and check out staff were lovely! The hotel lobby and rooms were aesthetically pleasant!

If you're a light sleeper, do your best not to occupy rm#235, the traffic from the roads travel loud to the room, I could even hear the beeping signal for the crosswalk. As well, the air con fan was rattling too. Unfortunately, the bedsheet I had did have a rip in the middle of the bed, but glad the bedsheets were clean at least. There was no laundry bag available in the room, you may need to order it through room service. I didn't end up using the kettle as the spout had build up.

For the rate I paid, unfortunately I didn't have a satisfactory experience. If I was staying for more than 1 night, I would have requested for a room change to have better sleep.

We booked a 2 night luxury escape and we were disappointed. It included a $30 per room per night drink voucher but when we went to redeem it at the pump house they said each voucher was only worth one beer. Okay not the biggest issue but the bathroom was tiny and we had booked king suites I would hate to see standard rooms, the body wash was broken and we were only given one small soap. When housekeeping came they didn’t remove any dirty towels just left them and added fresh ones which was weird. Due to Covid-19 there was no buffet breakfast which was fine and very understandable but the breakfast menu didn’t ha e any fruit, yoghurt or cereal lots of eggs and bread based which was disappointing. Beds were comfy and good variety of pillows. Would stay again for the location and would know next time why I was getting rather than having high expectations.

We stayed here for 5 nights during our honeymoon. We arrived on 31 December and they had our room ready at noon.
The reception staff were very friendly. Our room was always spotless when we got back. The beds were so so comfy.
They had a bottle of complimentary bubbly in the fridge to celebrate the new year and we also got a complimentary bottle of wine and some chocolates for our honeymoon.
The location of the hotel is great with us being a 5 min walk to darling harbour and a 2 min walk to the closest tram line.

We booked this hotel as a place to stay near the harbor for New Years. We had been staying in another hotel in Sydney for 4 nights prior. While the hotel does appear to have been updated recently, the upkeep was not the best. Our room had a fabric chair with a huge stain on the seating area that looked to have been there for a while. During our 16 day trip we stayed in multiple hotels. This hotel had, by far, the most uncomfortable mattress and pillows. We booked our stay through Hotels.com which advertised this location had parking, however, when we arrived we found out the hotel does not have parking and the desk staff gave us directions to a pay structure a few blocks away from hotel; this meant not only were we paying $50+ a day, but any time we wanted to use the vehicle we needed to walk to structure and pay fee each time we exited. This should have been published in the description for the hotel.

We stayed at Novotel Darling Square for a few days to take a break from work - and wow was it a break! The service is impeccable, with each staff member we met being kind and helpful to ensure our stay was the best it could be. How modern this hotel was surprised me and the room was spacious and quiet with all the newest technology and plenty of USB ports. Very COVID-Safe (much like other ACCOR properties) which we appreciated a lot. We unfortunately didn’t dine at any of the outlets, however the location of Novotel is fantastic with just a short walk to basically anywhere in the Sydney as well as very close to many tram and bus stops. The pool and gym are also lovely and spacious. Could not recommend this hotel more for an easy option that seasoned travellers will undoubtedly enjoy. Fantastic job!

To be honest I don't know. I usually am alone when staying at hotels. I think Novotel Brighton Le Sands does have interconnecting rooms. It's close to the airport.
